I bought a gallon of this stuff four years ago to clean the aluminum hull of my boat that I was selling. Really did a great job. Looked like new. Now the bad side. I burned out my grass. It is hard on asphalt too. But if you use it with a brush it does wonders on aluminum wheels. I still have half a jug left. Can't dispose of because it's hazardous.

Use to work in a chemical plant. We got phosphoric rock . We had big mills that ground the rock to a powder it was then mixed with sulfurtic acid, Phosphoric Acid . Sulfuric acid will eat the clothes off your body. If you get a small droplet on your skin it burns like hell and itches at th same time . Do not touch it let it be. Getting back to Phosphoric acid this stuff is very corrosive and can burn your skin depending on the strength how bad it will hurt you. Not good for your pet either. Be sure to take a water hose and wash away the acid he poored on the ground and concrete. Do hope you read this comment.

Chad, Jolene, I have used muretic acid The stuff that they put in pools It costs about $8 to $10 a gallon US It does the exact same thing, but you will have to use a respirator if you use it full strength, and you do want to neutralize it with water. I have a video on my channel using it on 1929 Ford model A doors. Member safety third use a respirator gloves and eye protection It will take the rust off without any grinding.

You can spray some clear over the pitting from turning rust brown again. I found this OLD bike horn from the 1950s in a box at a swap meet it was hecka rusty. I had planed to just paint it until I clean it up on the wire wheel got it to shine up better than what it was and painted a red strip on it sprayed it with clear coat of paint. The bike been on the shelf for year's it looks like one of those 1950s news paper boys bikes

We used to spray it on the aluminum tankers, it creates a distinct smell when the acid reacts on the aluminum. Makes a crappy tanker look nice with just a spray and rinse.
Like others said, don't get it on glass or polished aluminum. All those tankers were white looking, they never got polished.

I used oven cleaner on my engine and bay let it set for a few hour's water jet it off at the car wash place early in the morning. The owner usually don't like people cleaning there engine leaving muck behind. I sprayed that too. We used to have a place that would clean and recoat under car's truck's for the winter. That place long closed something that went away 4 generations ago. When people wanted there car to last as long as it could. Until we turn into a disposable society! Or at least some people take care of there thing's.
