      @Frenchbc thanks, TH-cam’s video suggestions are unhelpfully rarely related to the active video anymore so having this link here was very helpful.

    This and a couple of midi-pedals, and you can sell dedicated looper pedal, and will have much more value in a box.

    Loving the app so far but struggling with one thing. How do you record the pitch warble and speed changes? When I leave overdub on and change the speed, nothing changes in the replay. Do you have the audio feeding back into Norns or is there something simple I’m missing?

      oooo good q! when overdub is on, new incoming audio is being recorded to the 'tape' -- speed changes that occur while *new* audio is being played into norns will be committed through the overdub, but the audio that's *already been recorded* is only playing back, not being re-recorded with the speed changes. I hope this helps, please let me know if this is unclear! :)

      @@alyeska4226 -- sorry for any confusion, this app is only one of *dozens* that are being created for this platform! the code for cranes is completely customizable, but I chose a 60 second buffer length -- it'd only take switching a few lines of code to extend that to whatever is needed by the artist. there are also a lot of updates coming to the base engine that cranes runs on (softcut), which will also allow for a lot of capability. norns is pretty limitless -- you can create nearly anything you need and there is a lot of community involvement on llllllll.co/tags/norns :)

      Niiiice. I was listening to some tempo shifts that sounded nice on the mpc, but c ant record like that. Thata a sick little patch

    How is the multitasking with this little slab? I hav3 my eye on it a little, wanted a MOD Duo X, but the thing has endless fatal flaws, the worst being so many bricking with no fix. This seems much more stable and durable. I hadnt really even been able to find any jenky mish mush

    This is lovely. Is the delay coming from within Norns, or is an external delay effect attached?

    • @soundandprocess
      @soundandprocess  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the synth voice is Aalto from Madrona Labs, but cranes (the app on norns) is supplying all delays + FX!

      @@soundandprocess oops, I got completely the wrong end of the stick on this! Thanks for explaining. Will definitely check this out when my Norns arrives. Many thanks.
