@DENNIS SCOTT Spray transfer is where a higher voltage is applied and the electrode does not contact the metal it literally sprays the metal onto the joint. It is a hotter weld too
I just bought one and I notice that the wire feed starts off slow and then get to the speed that I want. Is there a fix for it to start off the speed that I want?
Biggest difference between this one and Lincoln 256? Super brand new to welding. Going to welding school in the summer. Looking for some insight. Thanks
Never ran a lincoln 256. Its a good machine. Weld good. I got it cu i was doing heavier stuff. If you want a good quality machine that doesnt break the bank this is it
I welded some 1/2" steel with mine and I thought it did very well. I am not a professional welder, but it seemed to have plenty of power for me on that 4" x 4" x 1/2" plate.
Just got mine home from Northern tool.. Super excited- thx for the set up tips!!
Let's see the low end and some spray transfer so we can see the extremes each direction
Ill be doing more vids on this thing in the future so stay tuned

What is your voltage and wire speed for 1/4 in metal
So after 3 months of using the Ironman 240, how has the welder performed so far?
I like it. Way more power than my 140 Handler. Only thing i dont like is portability. Could throw my 140 in my truck and take it to a buddies house
Looking at this welder to replace an old 220 unit I have. So far what is your honest opinion of it's performance?
I havnt got to test it fully but so far im very happy
