1:50 okay so, as the resident EW2 story nerd, the current events are these: the northern human rebels have been constantly attacked by savage tribes of orcs, and this is when your player character comes into play. You successfully repel two orc attacks, but your second in command notices the orcs weren't fighting anywhere near as viciously as they usually do. As luck would have it (or bad luck, depending on your perspective), you've been repelling the "attacks" of the CIVILIZED orcs who were trying to pacify their savage brethern, but couldn't because your forces were barring their path. So their leader comes down in peace and the two sides clear up the misunderstanding JUST in time for the ACTUAL savage orcs to strike
this is the best epic war in terms of theme and tone, just have that epic serious feel to it, then the other epic wars afterwards becomes far more cartoony, I even think some of the backgrounds lose detail compared to epic war 2. Because man the backgrounds of epic war 2 was beautiful.
