You know when you think about it. I feel that can be attributed to a lot of things. Maybe things just start off organic and "real" but as time passes. More players enter the game. The formula of early success is replicated and becomes easier to duplicate. Which mean the quality and originality of the content becomes less and less. Until finally the thing, be it a genre of music ,a new sport or art movement. Slowly becomes bogged down in mediocrity. With the system that comes into place doing it's best to keep anything that might spark the thing back to originality from ever coming into own. You want an example of what I'm talking about?
