Thanks to you I now know the movie "Love Bites" is the one i have been looking for. This means the world to me, i love this movie, no matter how cheesy it is. Love the Interview with the vampire, The Hunger with Bowie and Catherine Deneuve (not from 90s) and Only lovers left alive (not from 90s as well), but the Dracula- dead and loving it with Leslie Nielsen is just hilariously funny. Absolutely adore the movie with Julian Sands as well.
Wonderful list Gothic Alice! The vampire archetype in general made huge fangmarks on the cultural zeitgeist in the 90's, in much the same way as the witch is enjoying today

Intriguing list! Interview With The Vampire is by far my favourite vampire flick. Nothing to do with the 90’s, but, have you seen Kiss of the Damned from 2012? I’d love to hear your thoughts on that film. Underrated in my opinion.🦇
I was 12 when that one came out and not supposed to watch it but I was utterly obsessed and when it came out on dvd I somehow got my grandma to rent it for me lol
I would recommend "Nadja", by Michael Almereyda. It's a modern version of Daughter of Dracula classic. It's experimental, sexy, and interesting as hell indie cinema. Produced by... David Lynch (!!!). A true Gem.

Kindred is okay. I sometimes felt pained by the dialogue and the pace occasionally didn't really work for me. It did help me get through 2 weeks sick in bed at one point so can't complain. The movie version of Buffy is great; I'm glad I'm not alone in that thought.
My favorite movie of all time BRAMS STOKERS DRACULA. the greatest movie ever made handsdown i first saw this movie when it came out in 1992 in the movies theaters was only 14 years and i am 40years old now. and until this day it is my favorite movie ever i love it when you make this type of videos Jimmy3966⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

It was an open ending too where the creature / Frankenstein had caught fire but made it out alive lost in the world, one black woman had werewolf scratches on her back, a vampire usurper lives. The main younger baddie vampire of the movie decided to commit suicide when he couldn't get a woman to love him when he offered everything to her too. It must have been late 90's - 2000 of a movie though. Waaat? Vampire Hunter D though ;p

It's a ridiculously exhaustive compendium of every vampire movie and tv show ever made, big or small. Being a vampire nut myself I'm hoping I can work through every movie in it. But that's unlikely as there are just so many vampire movies listed.
I have seen it, it's great! I mentioned it in my Park Chan Wook director spotlight video, and it'll make an appearance whenever I do a 2000's vampire list.
Then you have the Vampire: Masquerade tabletop RPG game which was huge and influential in the 90s too. The Kindred the Embraced show is based off that lore but they didn't do the source material justice at all!

Ha ha! I love Dracula: Dead and Loving It and the Subspecies franchise!! 😂. I'm aware of how dumb they are and I've seen the first Subspecies movie an embrassingly high number of times!! Also, Dead and Loving It I have a weakness for because I love Leslie Nielsen.

But two more to add to the list: Razor Blade Smile (1998) It's cheesy, OTT, virtually no budget B-movie trash that you either find endearing and enjoyable or hate. The Addiction (1995) Massively pretentious, shot in black and white, strips away all myth and treats vampirism like drug addiction. Christopher Walken has a brief part.
Yay, 90's vampires! Coppola's Dracula, le sigh, awesome costumes & soundtrack, but Keanu Reeves as Harker is unforgivable and I just can't get over the cringe of it. Children of the Night is sooo strange.
Buffy is, hands down, the best TV show ever made.

I've seen that one since filming this, along with other NYC indie gems Habit and The Addiction from Larry Fessenden and Abel Ferrara, respectively.
