I just bought this helmet. I got the dark olive green. Looks matte black almost with the "BELL" in dark matte green along the chin bars side. Should be here in 5 more days! I'm excited. I'm currently using 2 differ helmets, a Cannondale half shell, and a Demon full face. The Demon helmet is way way too hot when it's muggy and/or above 75 degrees because it's not vented well enough. It's a decent FF but I wanted something lighter and cooler and with mips.
@@alexanderpeckham8105 It's more about what you need and want out of a helmet. The impact from my crash would have put either helmet on the shelf. What I notice is the DH actually fits me better. The check pads on the 3r have two layers and are more adjustable. They are both good. If you are buying now, you will be lucky to find either in stock. Our neighbor just ordered the 3r and the shop didn't have them. The shop was cool and had the DH so they sent that one out instead.
@@williamdistasio9358 The DH is just a bit more. Now that I know the DH fits me well, I will continue to buy it even if it costs more. I ride the Giro Chronicle for XC because it fits even when others are cheaper. I figure my head is worth spending a few extra bucks.
I own one of these, and will certainly buy it again given the choice, but i don’t like the fit of this without the chin bar. Feels like i have “put” on my head rather wearing it.
@@dablet it's honestly easier to attach the chin bar while wearing it (I can do it way quicker than the woman in this vid). Takes a few practices but once you get the technique it takes no more than 10 seconds.
I am a bit confused on how to use the go pro mount that is already installed on the helmet, I have a go pro but the screw does not seem to fit with the mount that is on the helmet. Is this ment to happen
No "helmet reviews" focus on the Primary Function of a helmet; Brain Protection. Including this one. Why? Why not post impact test results for comparison? Answering these two questions will reinforce credibility. Until this happens ANY review can not be trusted as it is only personal opinion. Information from unreliable sources with questionable intelligence and knowledge.
a didny crash too hard but a had this helmet in a size medium going down fortwilliam oan the boardwalk trail and the world cup track, fell off a few times on the cup track and hit the chin piece pretty hard and there isny too much of a mark on it, no internal damage on closer inspection
To be fair all helmets are designed with safety in mind. You should rest easy with this knowledge. I've just bought this and I'm here to see the look, the fit, the attachments etc. Primarily they are all helmets, it's not like putting a pumpkin on your head. 🎃
Phaedrus just cause it fits her head doesn’t mean it will fit yours. And anyway she talks too slowly and quietly. In addition to this it’s not enfusiastic. There no need to say bolocks too me you dick. Yeah yeah I can’t spell before you have a go at me
Unbelievable this style of helmet isn’t more popular. Cool halfshell for climbs, full face for descents. Win win.
Probably safety reasons. I can see quite a bit going wrong if you face first a tree
I did face a tree and it does what is has to do😂
Great video, thank you! I just bought one for trail riding :)

I have one, they fit and feel amazing but they look a bit crap. The chin bar and peak aren't in proportion.
I have one too and it took one good crash and now it is collecting dust.
@@MTBMOR So you reckon should go with the Bell DH instead?

@@MTBMOR For the 3r price??? If so that's great!

can you put the helmet on your head first, then put the chin bar on?
dablet00 technically, yes. But might not be the most straightforward way.

Hi, is the visor removable?

@@Mcfc2Rich False. You will NOT find supporting facts to back up that statement. Guaranteed. A helmet is not just a helmet.
@@truth6733 you would know, being one yourself.
My helmet (just the top) always falls back
I have this one and the DH. They are similar but different...duh.... The DH fits my head better without the chin than the super
its possible to wear 59cm size of that helmet even my size is 61cm.???ty
this is very small does not fit for any neck brace.
WTF
damn.... why do i find her so attractive with the glasses and helmet ?
Wtf no
This women just can’t do very good review
Bollocks, she did fine. Actually wearing the helmet and showing you how it fits together is more vauable than talking about it...

Henry just has issues, it's oke Henry, maybe you can make a better review for us.
It's not a review. So why mention it?
