Tenchu' Stealth Assassins is one of those games that defines my youth. I was hooked from the into. Day 1.
It's the titles that stay from are youth that shapes our spirit.
Tenchu holds a special place in my life as well.

We need a Tenchu like this. Along with the custom level creator. Combine one and two together into one longer semi rpg game with stealth as the main objective. Add additional missions like recon, locate, retrieve, protect, gather, social engineer… ninja were secret military forces after all. Sooo much can be done with it.

I just started playing Sekiro for the first time and all I've been thinking about the entire time is Tenchu!
Well, since at the beginning, Sekiro was meant to becomes Sequel for Tenchu, but FromSoft change their minds in the middle of the development, I think it's normal for people to remember about Tenchu when playing Sekiro. Anyway yeah, I myself don't know why FromSoft change their minds though...
Damn cool. Rikimaru suit best for this game . I like Sekiro but with this Rikimaru indeed make it much better.
I would love a new atmospheric tenchu game. Something that gives you that isolated feeling like in the first game.

Still hoping for a new Tenchu game, now that game Engines can handle realistic graphics. I can only imagine how beautiful they can depict a very dark Edo period with Rikimaru and Ayame. I want it to be as realistic as Tenchu Shadow Assassins, but they are more mobile. But also add Splinter Cell's sound and light detection mechanic lol
All they know is souls like games now. I don't think they can capture Tenchu without having a huge passion for Tenchu
1. No one cares what you want. 2. You put emphasis on graphics but don't care about the story. If they change the story and ruin it but then have excellent graphics, it's only painting a turd in gold.

I dont even pay attention to Shinobido's story but I played it. 3. If you say story is important then I would say no one cares what you think is important too.

Am I the only person who has recently played Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven? Cause like 80% of Tenchu 3 assets were incorporated into Sekiro. I feel like people didn't play Sekiro like a Tenchu game and played it like a Souls game so they didn't realise how similar all the elements were. I think poisoned rice balls were missing, armour upgrade, and that mimic spell/item... Though the mimic item was incorporated into Elden Ring so it wasn't lost.
It'll be interesting if there is a new Tenchu and how it will differentiate from Sekiro. I would much prefer a collaboration between FromSoftware and Takuma Endo to maximise the potential, but Endo may knock it out of the park. Who knows.
Oh and that's a fucking awesome mod. I'll be using that
I can’t see them messing up if they strictly follow a remake or remaster even and just add a couple modern touches like co-op online and offline but the latter is wishful thinking at this point I suppose
recently got sekiro a few days ago, played it several times through before but agreed that sekiro is the new tenchu installment, treating it as a souls game is nuts cause souls players are made for sekiro
Loved 'Wrath of Heaven'! I still play Tenchu Z , brilliant game also.... just wish they'd sequel it with new missions-maps and no real.changes (except maybe a few new moves and weapons)

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins creator and president of Acquire, Takuma Endo has said that he would like to create a new Tenchu game for the PlayStation 5 but nothing is formally in the works right now.

A scumbag company like Activision won't let it go that easy but with Microsoft buying it there might be a hope that from software makes a deal with them and may be we get tenchu remake as an exclusive on the Xbox

I'm just getting back into gaming after about 13 years away. I got a switch and a PS5. I look to see if any of the old games I liked growing up are still being continued. Tenchu was definitely on that list. With the current technology, a new Tenchu game would be amazing and so satisfying if done well. I hope to see one again one day. 🙏🏾

I would accept a good reboot or a good follow of the story after Shadow Assassins, where everyone thinks that rikimaru is the villain and everyone believes on Ayame (possessed by onikage) that rikimaru was the one who killed the princess, and rikimaru is isolated from everyone trying to survive by itslef
And have the outcome of game depend on both how well you complete the missions plus good/bad decision-making
This is incredible!!! I played the crap out of all the ps1 and ps2 tenchu titles.
I heard that Sekiro originally started off as a Tenchu game but the more FromSoft got into the development they felt that the direction they were going was further from what Tenchu is. Instead of scrapping their progress they decided to just make a new game. I'm very happy they decided to create a new game because Sekiro was incredible. Maybe one day they'll try doing another Tenchu game again.

Tenchu is a game that deserves a remake. This game must come back. Syphon Filter, Socom and Splinter cell are another games excelents for remake😊

TENCHU is my favorite games I often turn off the lights and 100% immerse myself into the game.
My goal per level is:
No detections
Stealth kill all enemies(by any means necessary )before the boss fight
-take no damages from boss fights.

You need to. This is basically Tenchu as a Souls game.
Ur missing out by not playing sekiro- trust me. I was gutted when I seen it wasn’t a new tenchu. But sekiro is an amazing game. Brutally difficult to begin with but once u get to grips with the mechanics it great. Traversing the levels and stealth is just pure tenchu, even the shockingly bad easily manipulated enemy AI is there. The games core stealth mechanics are built on the foundations laid by tenchu. The boss fights are where sekiro is it’s own beast. The boss fights are really hard but enjoyable. That may be an obstacle that could ruin the game for u if u don’t like repeatedly trying a boss until u beat it.
it would be cool if he ran with his sword sheathed with the trwo finger focus in front of his forehead like the opening cinematic in Tenchu Return from Darkness
lol always hated the way Rikimaru looks unbelievably fast in the cinematic scenes only to run SOOOOO SLOW in gameplay lol i always picked Ayame because shes so much faster in movement speed as well as attack speed. but there is no question Rikimaru had that unbelievable power behind his attacks and grabs
