A lot of people think this movie is unrealistic because he wouldn't leave his kids. Reality is many parents leave their kids to fight in a war with just as much uncertainty on return.
Very true when you think of it like that... Also the rationale to try and save the world and as a result your children is a pretty strong driving factor.
Either there is nothing in a black hole or it’s the entrance to another universe, or anything in between. No one knows… the imagination of Nolan is like no other.
My first Patreon subscription, and probably the only one I'll have. I've been watching and enjoying reactors for a few years now and it just feels right with you guys.So good luck moving forward, you two are cool.
Michael! Thank you so much! This really means a lot to us! We are very proud to have your Patreon sub and we hope you enjoy the reactions that you are directly enabling now! Thanks so much!
Yeah it was pretty full on! A great movie though. Im excited to watch it again at some point and see all the stuff we missed, maybe piece it together a bit better haha! Appreciate you being here and interacting!
Ah awesome we are very pleased to hear that! Also very astute of you to notice, we got a couple of lights just off screen to try and even the light out a bit better and it seems to be doing the trick. We look forward to being able to have a more professional set up one day haha
We thought it was great! And due to getting to edit the clips it has gradually made more and more sense to me too haha. Thanks so much for being here! We really appreciate it!
It was an awesome viewing experience! The music and the scenery were kinda main characters themselves. I loved it. And thanks again for being here and engaging! Really helping the channel! ~H
Just discovered this channel and love your guys reactions and I am glad you guys enjoyed one of my personal favorite movies of all time. Near the end when you guys seemed a bit confused, I would love to help explain it a bit if you dont mind as it can be hard to understand for people even after seeing it multiple times. Particularly what happened inside the black hole with the Tesseract. The depiction of the black hole, Gargantua, up until Cooper's descent, is grounded in scientific theories, particularly those provided by physicist Kip Thorne, who consulted on the film. The accurate visualization of the black hole’s accretion disk and the extreme time dilation near its event horizon are based on our current understanding of general relativity. However, what happens once Cooper crosses the event horizon is entirely speculative, as our physics break down at that point. The entire tesseract sequence is a speculative concept created by the filmmakers to explore the unknown interior of a black hole. In reality, humanity has no direct knowledge of what happens inside a black hole or at its event horizon, where the gravitational pull becomes so intense that not even light can escape. The tesseract beings in Interstellar are future humans who have evolved beyond the confines of three-dimensional space and linear time. This essentially makes them something else entirely, beyond our understanding. They perceive all moments of time simultaneously and can manipulate gravity across dimensions, but their transcendence comes with limitations. Despite their advanced state, they cannot directly intervene in human affairs because they no longer experience reality in the same way we do. Their detachment from human existence means they lack the emotional and experiential context to solve humanity’s problems themselves. They understand the mechanics of time, gravity, and dimensions but cannot directly "communicate" with beings constrained by linear time. To ensure humanity’s survival, they create the tesseract-a dimensional construct where time can be navigated like space-and place Cooper within it to act as a bridge between their advanced understanding and humanity's need for connection and meaning. Cooper is essential because he retains the human qualities the beings no longer possess, especially his emotional bond with Murph. Love is the key in this context because it transcends time and space, functioning as a force that connects individuals across dimensions. In the tesseract, Cooper is able to focus on his love for Murph to pinpoint specific moments in her life and communicate critical information. Without this emotional connection, the data might never have reached her, or she might not have recognized its importance.
Oh wow ok! We are so glad you enjoyed the reaction! We definitely got a little lost towards the end haha so this explanation is soooo useful! We think it's awesome that you took the time to write this for us! It also explains it so well, thank you so much, makes a lot more sense now haha. I look forward to rewatching it with this new knowledge stored up! I really hope you will be able to help us out on every reaction we get lost on haha. Thank you so much again and really pleased to have you here on our channel!
I’m actually watching this for the 10,000,000th time each from a different perspective stuck in a tesseract…..but since I’m on Millers planet it’s only been 0.00001 seconds for me
Hey guys, sorry I have been travelling a lot since last week and barely got any free time. I have to catch up to all your videos of last week. Interstellar is really great science movie. Personally, one of my favorites, I am really into Sci-fi movies and have a hobby of learning Astrophysics so I can explain the concepts too, let me know if you want recommendations for those types of movies. Edit- Hans Zimmer is the composer of all the soundtracks of this movie, and he has created the best soundtracks in existence. Some of his known works are Dark Knight Soundtrack, Pirates of the Carribean Soundtrack (He's a Pirate), Kungfu Panda Soundtrack, Dune Soundtrack, Man of Steel Soundtrack, Dunkirk Soundtrack and many more. BTW Dunkirk is great movie if you are into War movies that are based on true stories, and there are others that I like personally like 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, 12 Strong, Zero Dark Thirty. These are must watch according to me, I loved them.
Hey Dev, great to see you back here! What were your favourite parts of the film? Yes love the Hans Zimmer we have heard so far and are checking out some of those films really soon! Harry is really into war films so these recommendations are right up his alley! 😊
A few of these movie names keep popping up now so we will definitely get to watching them asap! Thank you for the suggestions! We really appreciate it, and thank you for being here!

“Rage against the dying of the light” is a poem about fighting against death, fighting with everything you got
I found it very stirring to listen to. Especially Michael Caine speaking it! Was a great choice for this movie, fits perfectly!

I love the imagination of people to come up with all the different theories and ideas.. a great film for sure!

It's okay to not fully grasp the whole film the 1st time. It has a lot of concepts that aren't mainstream or known by the average person.
Yeah it was pretty full on! A great movie though. Im excited to watch it again at some point and see all the stuff we missed, maybe piece it together a bit better haha! Appreciate you being here and interacting!
