I also like Columbo Likes the Nightlife (2003). It's super early 00s in everyway, but I felt like the killer in that episode acted like an actual real human.
Agreed, it's one of the VERY FEW, latter series version episodes, that I, personally, like, >at >all; although, it is ->not, >anything which I'd call: "a, Favorite"; for me.!
another great episode with Lauren played by Faye Dunaway. she gave a interview were Peter Falk kept the script for this one on the shelf till he could find the right actress to play the guest murderer she accepted of course
Peter Falk was 14 years older than Faye Dunaway and it shows in this episode. By the time they started remaking Columbo starting in 1989, Falk was past his prime as he was 62 years old by then.
I suppose what what I was trying to say was because she was so much younger than him, she wasn't really attracted to him. She wanted to distract him from investigating her by pretending she was interested, in the hopes he would become more interested in her than in his investigation. Based on her current lover, the gigolo, she was into younger men.
@@johnfinnegan8474 If Falk was 14 years older, he could also represent the generation just above her, the one the young girl she once was was probably fantasizing about. Also, as she is seduced by a younger criminal, she indeed can be said to mirror this with her relationship with Columbo.
Many a tear has to fall, but it's all in the Game.... This slightly disguised motif is played as Faye Dunaway is about to walk through that door......😔
I return all amazon products which are not packaged in an expensive violin case worth more than the item that they contain. Obviously larger items require a cello case.
Where's his wife? Did she die off in the later ones or did they separate? It seems strange for him to go after a woman when he has (had?) a wife at home.
The original 70's seasons with one or two exceptions I could over and over again, but not with the ones remade after 1989 like this one. I saw it once and it was okay, but that once was enough. I still have it on a DVD recording I recorded from a satellite television broadcast years ago. Universal channel I think it was when it was on Sky Digital in the UK.
Peter Falk wrote this episode. One of the best later Columbo shows. Faye Dunaway received a well deserved Emmy for her role.

👍 AGREE
Faye Dunaway what a beautiful talented artist. Her gravitas is amazing
One of the few new Columbos that are as good as the originals.
Agreed. It’s my favorite later episode.

"If you believe everything a cop tells you, you're a fool"
Boy has that phrase only gotten more true with age...
Faye Dunaway is fantastic. It doesn't get much better than her.
He didn't seem to mention his wife much in this episode lol

Interesting.

Thanks for posting
one of the very best episodes
The Columbo ladies all go so quietly into prison: Faye Dunaway, Anne Baxter, Trish VanDevere, Lee Grant. The list goes on and on.
It's very easy to fall for Faye Dunaway
L'épisode très touchant.. ♥
Faye Dunaway is one of the finest actresses in Hollywood
Excellent clip !!!!
In real life Peter and Faye are friends and they had a lot of fun filming this episode
She's my daughter ( slap)
My sister (slap)
My daughter ( slap)
My sister
China town.
Faye Dunaway is a treasure.
That movie was one of the best I ever saw. I will never forget this line. Faye Daneway was awesome. I almost remember the complete movie.
❤Columbo
I know Colombo always get his man but this is one of the very few if only thing I wish he didn't. I really liked her.
"Can I nibble on your ear?" Hey that's MY favorite expression! I INVENTED that line!
Quoting: an identifying touch, in the story; makes your claim, &, even worse, on a script authored by Falk, >>immensely unbelievable!!
Columbo is a great detective, but sometimes, he's a terrible liar
GREAT.EPISODE
Excellent episode!!! 👍👍🙂
Faye Dunaway is a stunningly beautiful woman.
This my favorite episode "it's all in the game"
Poor Columbo has a heart too❤😊
Taking the Wife Bowling !

your point being?

Peter Falk was NEVER past his prime.

" Rosario " was so cute in this episode. I wonder how the actress is doing

He wasn't going after her. He was playing the game.
I mentioned his wife several times in this episode….even in The end of this episode,he was going to play bawling with his wife.
I think this is the only episode I did not hear him speak of his wife once.
Columbo’s little head controlling his big head.
😂
She played the wicked woman in the Supergirl film in 1984

I found it better when Columbo went after male murderers
The girl in the photo looks like Susan (I am death incarnate" )Ivanova from Babylon 5!
The girl in the photo _is_ Claudia Christian, who played Susan Ivanova.
Never understood how he chose to be the judge
He couldn't make case against the mother unless she confessed, and she only agreed to confess if her accomplice daughter was left out of it.
Oh Brian let your emotional side out man
No he didn't. He played her.
No one can fool Columbo.
Her face is frozen. She ruined her eyebrows and face.
Never cared for this one. Faye Dunaway was not a good fit and Columbo acting like a school boy was a turn off.
Falk parodied the role in later years but dunaway gave an incredible performance
he never fell for her that's just plain dumb
