Social media is the biggest obstacle for me...Ive been living under a rock when it comes to these platforms such as instagram, tiktok etc... I just recently put up a youtube/soundcloud channel for my music.
I love watching your long videos, but many times I do get stuck up with other priorities. So these 3 minute videos that go straight to the point are GOLD. I strongly encourage you to make many of these as well as the long ones. For people who have too much info in their heads like I do, it filters the noise and gets you to what actually is important.
I would love a video exploring #4 "Plan at Least 12 Months Ahead". Short videos and long videos, I watch them to the end because you're honestly so insightful that I feel like I'd miss something key if I didn't.
I paused another video and watched this on 2x speed. Typed up this comment, and now am returning to my regularily schedueld programming in the length of a commercial break. The difference is that i was already sold on my guy Damian. Thanks Damian!
1 improve the artist, not the art. 2 use your time for a things that works best. 3 show your superpower - what you do the best. 4 plan your strategy for 12 months minimum. 5 look after your audience.
Who has time for 15 minutes of free expert advice? Really? Man, I'm sorry that people have the audacity to treat you that way. Thank you for all the amazing advice you put forth, whether it's 3 minutes or 30 minutes. Every once of it is gold. I say make the longer videos and let those who are serious about their careers watch the whole thing, though that's more of a burden you. But just know that there's people out here who appreciate it.
Very powerful and to the point! This is just what I needed this morning 😎👍. Thank you very much for your insightful and expert advice. I’ve watched your other videos that are longer and they were incredibly helpful too.
I was interacting with people, when suddenly my channel for terminated for suspected spam (temporarily). It's too easy for everything to just crash. So scary.
Damian, this video is amazing! Gonna add this video to my morning routine. Thank you for turning criticism into something that serves others! Superhero status.
Great video. Don't mind the long ones. I find they have more detail and if someone really cares about educating themselves they will find the time to listen and learn from an expert.
Thank you. I really has started from the bottom and planning this year to be mine 😅 first single releasing plan and from there on whole year. I usually do stuff without thinking 😂And as I started to follow your videos I understand that if I want to give myself a chance I need to do it properly 💪🏼And end of this year I really hope to see results ❤
I love, love your videos!!! I 'v e been following, watching and learning from you for 3 years, I so, so appreciate you. No matter how long, the subject, I am your super fan.
I'm surprised you caved in to the pressure of the opinion of others. Great video ❤it, but Do you Damien, Those of us who matter and are willing to learn. Will adapt.
Would you still advice influencer marketing? Seems to have done magic for Artemas (who wrote 'I like the way you kiss me') - at least I think that's what they've done + boosting posts with the song.
I think it’s worth it once the socials are flying but before that is a lot of work with no leverage. Once you have leverage it opens up a lot more ideas like this for sure 😊😊
I’d love suggestions for new artists on what video content to post…I’m gathering that I need to actually make pro looking music videos, but man that’s intimidating 😵💫 You think it’s most important to release finished recordings showcasing my voice-not just singing in the car?😂 (Half-kidding?)
Tiktok mutes the audio on my own distributed music clips citing 'copyrighted sound, unavailable for use.' I own all the rights to my music. Clips are under 30 seconds. How can I promote my music if Tiktok mutes the sound?
Lmfao. dude, "Facts. 👍" just made me laugh water out of my nose. that's 999.99% of the replies i see from artists/ producers to their fans on videos. i get it, i mean, there's only so much time you have in a day, and when you got a million comments from 152 different videos, i'm sure it gets exhausting before you even attempt to reply, but, *honest question here, cause i really have no idea* But, like.... isn't that why people have moderators and managers for stuff like that? way i have always seen it with my fans is that it doesnt always take an entirely drawn out paragraph. Just an actual acknowledgement, and a genuine thanks. then, remember some of the names. Regulars in particular. The more often you see them, the more you give in a reply, as there's now a foundation of familiarity built between artist and fan. You also know at that point they'll probably be a hardcore fan for the remainder of your career, so it helps in that realm of things even more to then give that extra time to them to let them know they're seen, and that you know how much they've given to your success as well. Without any fans, you literally dont have a career, and without the die-hards, the vast majority would never have heard of you. those guys/girls played your music or consumed your work, daily, showed their friends, family, and partners. shared what the art meant to them, and they would still do all that even if you NEVER made it big. they deserve that lil extra, but ive just always laughed at the people who you see replying to 80 comments in a row with only, " *Facts* 👍" 🤣😂
How on earth will you sing daily when all you know is how to sing only😭😭 Who will be there to finance your production 💰💰 Like i have tens of hundreds of songs and adding up daily, who is this in the same situation with me ww give each other a shoulder to lean 😭😭
You Definitely Should Start A “3 Min” Series 🙌🏽
for real tho 👀
Agreed 👍
would prefer a 30 minute series, but 3 would probably do better
Social media is the biggest obstacle for me...Ive been living under a rock when it comes to these platforms such as instagram, tiktok etc... I just recently put up a youtube/soundcloud channel for my music.
Me too. I really need to learn how to get into these platforms ..
Same! And my music videos are just a photo with my song playing…🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I’m trying to learn but man it’s a steep curve.

"be the hero, serve the people" what a wonderful concept in music. i love it
Thanks so much, I really think this will help but I'm here to help if you need it 🙂🙂
Honestly this is the best video I've seen from you. Only doable suggestions from any level of career.
I would love a video exploring #4 "Plan at Least 12 Months Ahead". Short videos and long videos, I watch them to the end because you're honestly so insightful that I feel like I'd miss something key if I didn't.
Good idea, I second that!
Love this "fast" videos. Thank you Damian.
This is hands down your best video dude.
Have you watched the entirety of his basically free course 50 minute videos?
I paused another video and watched this on 2x speed. Typed up this comment, and now am returning to my regularily schedueld programming in the length of a commercial break. The difference is that i was already sold on my guy Damian. Thanks Damian!
If people "Dont have the time" to sit through a video about how to promote then they are just lazy.
I love long videos, don't believe the hype, Damian Rocks!
It’s the beat you can make a song that doesn’t make sense but the instrumental beat makes it sound better
No socialmedia, youtube channel, tiktok, website instagram etc. Still played 15 countries and 3 million streams on Spotify. Stress free, screen free..
@@stayuntilforever that’s great, well done and congrats, that is a real achievement, especially with no socials 💪😊
Watched your long videos and this one too, You are giving precious mindsted, thank You! I am already applying
Let’s goooo
Hi Damian, I wish I knew how to release 250+ songs. It's perplexing
@@marclemonmusicdua lipa cut from 94 to 12 for her album. People dont want all of your work. They want your best work.

I don't think anybody knows what they're doing anymore.
True😵🤣
I hate to say it but the “iPad kid” part of my brain loved how succinct this was
Very powerful and to the point! This is just what I needed this morning 😎👍. Thank you very much for your insightful and expert advice. I’ve watched your other videos that are longer and they were incredibly helpful too.
Love the mix of short and long videos - I watch em all :)
I was interacting with people, when suddenly my channel for terminated for suspected spam (temporarily). It's too easy for everything to just crash. So scary.

Damian, this video is amazing! Gonna add this video to my morning routine.
Thank you for turning criticism into something that serves others! Superhero status.
Nice one, DK. Timely as ever.
Great video. Don't mind the long ones. I find they have more detail and if someone really cares about educating themselves they will find the time to listen and learn from an expert.
Thanks for the video Damian.
Dude. If the video is 20min long but every information si valuable, I am watching it for sure.

I got 1500 plays yesterday on streaming. I earned one cent.
Brilliant video, thank you sir!
I'm surprised you caved in to the pressure of the opinion of others. Great video ❤it, but Do you Damien, Those of us who matter and are willing to learn. Will adapt.

Definitely enjoyed this video. But please don't stop doing long form content
you're a legend, dk, thank you ❤
can u make this in 20 seconds with someone playing subway surfers and temple runner and clash royale in the lower half?
I love your long-form videos.
Amazing, thank you!
Thank you Damian! Greetings from Russia! Love your content. The best expert I saw!
I really appreciate this, thank you so much. I hope to meet in Russia one day, I would love to come and check the place out! 🙂🙂
10 sec music promo: commenting on this video

He speaking facts, and you had to find an audience man.
First time ive actually had to slow down a video even while faded normally i speed them up lol
I had to watch at .5 speed 😂😂😂 keep the long videos 😅 always good content
Loved this type Of content! Hope
You can keep doing post at this pace 😅
Great info here you got me pretty well hooked.
Really appreciate that, thank you 🙂🙂
This video was too short...
🤪
Ahh, finally a video matching my attention span. Like 👍
Lol I'll try and mix and match some short and long form ones coming up 🙂🙂
@@DamianKeyes why don't you incorporate some bass lines into your presentation? Will losen it up and make you more legit as a fellow musician
Time to get after it! Cheers Damo!! 🐒
Appreciate you bro
THANK YOU SO MUCH LOVE
Great video. Thanks. I love your long content as well😅
So basically if you have social anxiety in this industry, you don't stand a chance.
It's definitely an obstacle but it can be overcome.
You should do more short videos! 👍
I love your long videos!!! This is great but yeah...
I’m a upcoming artist definitely better than some artist that are trending just need the audience
Yes! That’s awesome, now it’s time to understand the marketing and promotion game to build your audience 😊😊
I've got way too many tracks sitting in the back catalog. Maybe I should start getting them out.
Iv been thinking the same thing lol. I'm always trying to craft the next song as opposed to releasing the older ones
@@weplaydk2343 mood. I JUST got one out from 14 years ago and just called it a "Demo" LOL

this video feels like prime youtube in the 2010s
Cool this is jus true
Damian, I have an idea, how clogged up is your schedule?
How do you protect yourself work from being stolen?

Lol🤣, Our ability to just sit still in a place for more than 5 minutes has diminished it seems 😂
yeah, 10 min. max.
where's the longform version i dont have adhd
Don't listen to them Daimian - we love your long video's, we need the details!

watching this on 2× speed 🧠
watching this on .25 speed 😌
BRO PLEASE DON'T STOP THE 25+ minute videos. People that say shit about long videos for sure don't even made 1 dollar out of their music.
nah this generation has "tik tok brain" aka short term memory loss 😂 most people cant focus for 10 mins let alone 25
Don’t listen to them. I love the long form videos!
No not the low attention span videos....... where's the 1 hour long guides
Short videos are good, you preach to us about making short videos for social media, and then you expect us to watch a 26 minute video. Haha.
Long Videos get s him Watch time
Very true, short videos defo didnt work as well as long this time around 🙂🙂
Music production is DEAD... AI music are the future. I have almost 1 Mill views on spotify, whit an AI gen song... lol
