HAPPY BIRTHDAY POKÉMON! This is my present for this story, which I have followed since I was a child. February 27, 1996 Pokémon Red was released. I'm a gen 1/2 old gamer, so I came up with an idea of making the start of all of this franchise as a tribute to Pokémon Red. Everything about Pokémon started here. Pallet Town, First Gym battle was Brock and Boulderbadge.

For those interested, pedro is working on the follow up on this series. There are three more videos already out covering that route after brock, mt moon, and a little cerulean already. I hope when the series is over, we get a full lenght movie ON MY LOCAL THEATER!
I've asked him if he'd combine this with his earlier vids like Classic Sprites; Pokemon Oak, Pokemon Giovanni, Red v Gold and Lance the Dragon Master; that way we could get load of different perspectives :)
Maybe even a sequel following Ethan/Gold? Maybe?

I'm gonna be 26 this year, been playing Pokemon since before I could read. Watching this and realizing the profound affect the games had on how I grew up made me cry. Amazing as always Pedro.

A moment that shows Brock is stronger than he's fighting the newbie trainers is when you see that Kabutops [Which you fight in Gen 2 when Brock is presumably taking on the Gen 2 player with his full power since they're champion]. That and it's canon with Legends that Gym Leaders use different teams based on how advanced their foe is. Because not everyone in universe starts at Pallet Town after all! With the simple geographical location of Pewter; it's entirely possible someone could fight Brock with 6; or even 7 badges.
But also part of the job os being a gym leader is to guide and explain to new trainers. Like Brock tells you how TM's work. But he dosen't tell Blue because he just laughs and walks off.
For me it all started on October 31st 2003, (my 7th birthday) when I got my very own GBA and Pokemon Crystal Version from my now deceased aunt. I was already pretty big into the series because of my cousins. Anyway, It's thanks to my aunt that was able to begin my journey through the different regions, collecting all the different pokemon and conquering the Pokemon leagues.
I made sure to play the original red/blue/yellow not long after I completed Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. So I can say, without a doubt, I've completed every single main series pokemon game to date, including the remakes. I'm really looking forward to whatever the Pokemon Company has in store for this year's anniversary.

Gold is his name with old style (The official has never called his old style Ethan yet.) And Ethan is his name with remake style.
Gold not only used in Pokemon Adventures, it’s also used in The Golden Boys and official guide book comic, so it’s not just a fan name.

Red doesn't appear in all regions , you should do your research first before you spout information , and he only captured all pokemon in kanto , you might argue that he might have captured some pokemon in other regions that he appeared in , but he never captured all of them and that was NEVER stated , not even in canon .
the only regions he appeared in was kanto , Johto , unova , alola and that's it . he was not in every regions. and he was only in those regions for the player (you) to beat him.
