3 small cans of boneless and skinless salmon (Drained)
3 heaping Tbls Corn meal
1 heaping Tbls ap flour
1 egg
salt and pepper
oil for frying

It’s easy to hear the happiness & excitement in you’re getting ready to go on vacation voice. Many times as we drive out of time for vacation I actually just tear up because I can’t hardly believe we are going on vacation. I love vacations, we always have a great time. You deserve you’re vacation, the whole family comes to share good times & relaxation. Loved the video - again.💕

I'm so glad that you are keeping that beautiful shirt. Oh yeah, I'm 66 years old and I still eat my potatoes and sweet peas together! My kids ask me "mama why do you do that with your peas and potatoes". And I tell I've always ate them that way 😋! Anyway I love you guys ❤! I haven’t been to the beach since 2015 maybe 14
We make ours low carb. Hubby drains the salmon but keeps the juice in a separate bowl in case he needs it to add back to make the mixture moist. He adds egg, and cheese we shred. I like to add onion in mine also he said he doesn’t taste it. We mix them up and fry in bacon grease. They are so yummy that way and low carb.

It’s not a southern thing. I and most southerners pronounce it correctly
In the north east it is also Samon the l is silent lol but funny how we accent certain letters 😂

Vacation prepping is enough to make a vacation much needed! Our favorite driving to vacation road snack is cold cut rollups made with tortillas. After assembly, I slice them in half-inch pieces, roll tight in plastic wrap, then put them in gallon storage bags. My hubby (usually the driver) finds them to be perfect for eating while he's driving since they're small and not messy. Enjoy your trip!!

We used to go straight to walmart every year when we arrived at the beach, and I literally dreaded it. It was always crowded and took time away from my vacation. A few years ago, I started mapping out the closest walmart with "pickup" and its been a game changer. In the weeks before, I begin to fill an online cart and then place my order the day before we leave town. So much nicer. Btw - you make salmon patties just like my mom did. Our go to side dishes were mashed potatoes w/white gravy and pork & beans.
My cousin is almost 82 and has always used Pond’s cream and has hardly a wrinkle

Add vinegar to your laundry to keep it fresh.

We had salmon Pattie’s last Tuesday for tater Tuesday with fried potatoes. Today was taco Tuesday lol
I do my salmon Pattie’s the same way. We make creamed new potatoes. I boil them and drain and keep the water. I add a stick of butter and mix a tblsp of flour to some evaporated milk and usually end up with the full can in them and pepper.. I like a good amount. Not to overdo.
We usually have them with half runners and fried corn!

I hope y’all have a wonderful holiday at the coast! Leslie, I am in hospital, since Tuesday night. Have another sepsis situation( had my AKA left leg loss in 2017 and now the remainder limb has a cellulitis and I went septic. Will be in hospital until first of week I think. Having a reaction w a drug rash like I always do. Lying in a bed is not my style and it weakens one fast.anyway, have a great family vacation! Love y’all!

I can’t believe you love that meal. I do too. When I was growing up this is the same way my mother made it with those peas and stewed potatoes. She put some bacon drippings in the potato water. It really made those stewed potatoes delicious. Leslie, you have good taste. ♥️♥️♥️

Lol…you are “paring” potatoes I .”peel” potatoes using a peeler. I was told this as a kid…you pare with a knife…you peel with a peeler..ANYWAY can’t WAIT for vacation!! Ask PB about those taters cause I know he peels them❤ I also cook my salmon patties in butter…

You can use the leftover salmon Pattie’s for eggs Benedict, but with salmon Patty instead of ham.I’ve frozen the leftovers and used them that way. I love salmon Patties ! Have fun on vacation!

I never knew there were any other ways to make salmon patties. If you add too much, the flavor of the salmon becomes something else.

I dont understand your question. Are you talking about at Walmart? If you are, He needed something out of my car before I locked it. Plus, I wanted to walk in with him. He is my best friend and I was being considerate waiting for him. Not to mention he needed something out of my car.

Love salmon patties. Try adding some chopped onion to the mix and it is wonderful! My brother likes to add mustard in the mix.

Mama used to tease us 7 kids with ‘Dirt Dauber’ when we came in muddy from playing, learned later in life that it’s a real thing
On my stewed potatoes I mash them with a fork and mix some Dukes mayo with it, it's great with corn bread on the side.
I’m use to the patties stewed potatoes and macaroni with tomato sauce mm mmm good
Leslie, I mix mayonnaise and mustard together to dip the salmon patties in. So good!!

I’m just a few hours from you in NC. I find that we cook a lot alike. I cook my salmon patties just like you do.
We have a sun porch and we use it for storage because it’s too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter 🤦🏻♀️
My husband loved salmon patties I like them too I either put mustard on mine or I use malted vinegar

that lupper looks yummy ! I never heard the term " stewed potatoes " before ! looks like boiled potatoes to me (? ) am I missing something ? I have never had fried salmon patties but def. want to try making them ~ I occasionally make creamed salmon ( my grandmother used to make it as did my mom and we had peas with it as well ~ I love the baby peas *** ) we always bought the larger can of salmon but it was a chore sometimes picking through it because there was always alot of the little bones still in it ! do you have to do that with the salmon you buy as well ? I love your little house S&P shakers so cute ! where did you buy them ? Hey Leslie, can you share your recipe for the stewed potatoes, they sound really good. Also can you freeze the salmon patties and fry at a later date?
I'm not sure I've never froze them. That will be a great experiment.

@@TheFarmingPastorsWife I did a internet search and found you can freeze the salmon patties prior to cook and will be good for 2 months in the freezer..
