Grinned really big about women between 45-55. That age bracket is when I went into overdrive. Like my husband says "you are too mean to die." Us strong women just keep on ticking no matter what. World is NUTS right now but still going as strong as I can.
I am 8months pregnant with our third baby and I have been prepping our home like my hair is on fire plus homeschooling my other two babies and helping my husband with outdoor chores. I crash every once and a great while and need longer rest periods but I get right back to it. I also have an incredible God sent husband who leads our home, provides and protects us. He also ensures I rest when I don’t want to stop ❤ We are so blessed! After lugging and tugging upstairs to downstairs into the pantry basement I was bent over like a taco shell! My 74-year old back could not take anymore after 6 hours. Very happy with the progress made. Took a muscle relaxer and some ibuprofen and got nine hours sleep Sunday night. Ready for breakfast and another day this morning. Be fierce, be faithful, prep on!
Shortly after I heard about Isreal yesterday, I was offered 50 pounds of beets...I accepted them and have been canning beets since last night...I'm not dropping out I'm hunkering down. If I'm busy I won't have time to stress out!
A dear church Sister and friend is in Israel right now with a group. They're having to wait until later in the week for a flight out. She says they are safe right now. We are praying for a safe return.

I took a refreshing break yesterday. I went to my brother's place where my dad lived when he passed away. My brother's land connects with what was my dad's place. I call it God's country. Out away from people, in the country. It's so peaceful and beautiful to me. I saw 7 cars go down the country road all day. That's it!! I haven't been there since my daddy died and we sold his place. It kills me! I miss it! But I really enjoyed it! Just sittin under a tree, looking at the pasture and woods and clearing my mind. Beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky! I feel better. A major thing that helped me several years ago, was to stop watching the news on TV, I still stay informed about it through other sources, but the mainstream media reports will really drain your inner peace!😊😊😊

It drives me bats that i am financially unable to prep. I barely get paycheck to paycheck. I am just thankful i know what some wild plants i can forage.

I fell and fractured my hip a week ago. I’m going home from rehab hopefully in just a few days. I am 81 years old. I thank God that I have been listening to Patara for a long time and here pretty much finished up all of my preps. I can go home to a little mini grocery store in one of my bedrooms I’m also thankful that I’ve kept myself in very good physical condition by having a pretty good size garden. I’ve taken good care of myself and kept my weight down which makes a lot of things easier.
Getting my house cleaned and organized after harvest, canning and dehydrating. Always makes me feel better before the cold eeather hits. Weather here is beautiful.

I am so tired. I have been canning,prepping for months, years and it has overwhelmed me. I know I have enough but I can't stop my mind. Didn't sleep at all last night. I have just crashed and can't get anything done. My body just hurts and I am exhausted now. The world is bad but my family has so many crisis going on now. I pray and try so hard to keep my head above water but it's hard 😢
Here's my stressor. Blended up two dozen-24 eggs yesterday and put into the dehydrator BEFORE I moved it to the garge. (duh on me). Got to the garage table and dropped it. Ever seen 24 blended eggs on a garage floor? So upset with myself. Blessings my dehydrator and trays did not break, but took me hours to clean up. Sad that I lost my home grown eggs. First time for eveything. Up this morning drinking my coffee, planning what 's next. Don't give up. Start again.
I spent yesterday after church stacking more firewood. I wasn't going to get any more firewood this year as I have enough for several years. The gentleman that supplies my firewood called yesterday & asked if I wanted more. After seeing the events in the Middle East, it drove home how quickly things can change & how things may not be available when you next go looking for them. So I decided to take delivery of another cord of firewood next week. I never would have stockpiled this much wood in the past but, as Bob Dylan sang..."the times, they are a-changing".

We've eliminated 3 rattlesnakes during yard clean up SO FAR. I'm with you. I'm exhausted! I checked out of FB back in 2019 and stopped watching all media and news except for very specific channels on this forum and my favorite local radio station. I have a freezer full of tomatoes to can up and so many peppers drying. Canning up dog food...it's endless.
Just finished canning 37 pints of applesauce. From apples that were gifted to me. ❤️. I am so thankful. And I met this lady though a social media site we follow. May God Bless her and her family.
This weekend is our Thanksgiving. We had a family reunion with 29 present for supper. Most of them have their heads in sand with regard to world events. We continue to prepare being the elderly of our family. We know Jesus as our salvation. Thankyou Patara WCP

Exhausted here too. My momma fell last Saturday and broke her hip. We had to call an ambulance to get her up off the floor. Long story short, 1 surgery a lot of driving into the city to the hospital, taking care of all her animals and mine. Her house and mine, shopping for her and her house. Taking care of everything she normally does herself plus my own. So exhausted or not you gotta keep going sometimes, now she is in a rehab facility till sh's able to go home. God bless everyone
Saturday I tackled my pantries.I woke up & said to myself getr done woman! I had a cluttered mess where I bought food & canned food and just stacked it in the floor to organize"later". Man it feels great looking at the pantry when I walk into the room! I can now find ingredients I need to make meals & i took inventory of what I'm low on. Got things put into 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids & mylar bags. Anyone aware Lowes sells gamma lids in the paint dept.? Just a FYI. Keeping busy as much as we can be. I took this weekend to see my grandkids. Have a friend who thought he was prepped, found out he has massive holes, but we worked together and got most of them filled. One more section and he’ll be pretty much set. One less family to worry about.
I'm experimenting with spices. Today, I added some cinnamon to give an "Indian" flavor to my stir-fried rice with mixed frozen vegetables. It's getting nippy here. My Grandmother lived through WW1 WW2. Her son was a POW in WW2...One of her sayings was that the best way to win over Ur enemies is to enjoy Ur day...My Uncle lived through and did come home. Prayer is powerful. Don`t stop praying 🙏

My sister and went on vacation this past week. Took a few days and went to the beach. I didn't intend to not stay connected to sm, but it happened anyway. No matter how I tried to watch my regular channels, the interest just wasn't there. Now that i am home It is coming back. But I think my mind and spirit knew I needed a break. God bless, everyone. I am so tired. I have been canning,prepping for months, years and it has overwhelmed me. I know I have enough but I can't stop my mind. Didn't sleep at all last night. I have just crashed and can't get anything done. My body just hurts and I am exhausted now. The world is bad but my family has so many crisis going on now. I pray and try so hard to keep my head above water but it's hard 😢

Here's my stressor. Blended up two dozen-24 eggs yesterday and put into the dehydrator BEFORE I moved it to the garge. (duh on me). Got to the garage table and dropped it. Ever seen 24 blended eggs on a garage floor? So upset with myself. Blessings my dehydrator and trays did not break, but took me hours to clean up. Sad that I lost my home grown eggs. First time for eveything. Up this morning drinking my coffee, planning what 's next. Don't give up. Start again.
I encourage all to read the verses referring to running the race. You can do it! When we are weak, HE is strong!
I spent yesterday after church stacking more firewood. I wasn't going to get any more firewood this year as I have enough for several years. The gentleman that supplies my firewood called yesterday & asked if I wanted more. After seeing the events in the Middle East, it drove home how quickly things can change & how things may not be available when you next go looking for them. So I decided to take delivery of another cord of firewood next week. I never would have stockpiled this much wood in the past but, as Bob Dylan sang..."the times, they are a-changing".
My weekend was busy.

My step grandpa was Jewish. He kept it a secret because of Hitler and the Nazis. He kept it a secret even after that. When he died, grandma had a cross put on his military gravestone. She kept his secret to the end. It hurts my heart knowing that he felt so unsafe that he could not practice his religion. I stand with Israel.

We've eliminated 3 rattlesnakes during yard clean up SO FAR. I'm with you. I'm exhausted! I checked out of FB back in 2019 and stopped watching all media and news except for very specific channels on this forum and my favorite local radio station. I have a freezer full of tomatoes to can up and so many peppers drying. Canning up dog food...it's endless.

This weekend is our Thanksgiving. We had a family reunion with 29 present for supper. Most of them have their heads in sand with regard to world events. We continue to prepare being the elderly of our family. We know Jesus as our salvation. Thankyou Patara WCP
The world i grew up in is no longer in existence. They are trying hard to keep everyone distracted. I am seeing the fear levels ramping up in some people. People are just getting more crazy. I am so sorry for the young.

Exhausted here too. My momma fell last Saturday and broke her hip. We had to call an ambulance to get her up off the floor. Long story short, 1 surgery a lot of driving into the city to the hospital, taking care of all her animals and mine. Her house and mine, shopping for her and her house. Taking care of everything she normally does herself plus my own. So exhausted or not you gotta keep going sometimes, now she is in a rehab facility till sh's able to go home. God bless everyone

Saturday I tackled my pantries.I woke up & said to myself getr done woman! I had a cluttered mess where I bought food & canned food and just stacked it in the floor to organize"later". Man it feels great looking at the pantry when I walk into the room! I can now find ingredients I need to make meals & i took inventory of what I'm low on. Got things put into 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids & mylar bags. Anyone aware Lowes sells gamma lids in the paint dept.? Just a FYI. Keeping busy as much as we can be. Thanks Patara for always reminding all of us to keep prepping. We love ❤️ ❤❤ you!

I live 5 miles from the border in TX. The shelves are bare. There were 3 packs of tortillas at the dollar general yesterday
I took this weekend to see my grandkids. Have a friend who thought he was prepped, found out he has massive holes, but we worked together and got most of them filled. One more section and he’ll be pretty much set. One less family to worry about.
I'm experimenting with spices. Today, I added some cinnamon to give an "Indian" flavor to my stir-fried rice with mixed frozen vegetables. It's getting nippy here. Walmart has a sale going where some clothes items are $2.00. I hope to get a few winter pieces. Thanks for the pep talks. Best wishes to all.
My Grandmother lived through WW1 WW2. Her son was a POW in WW2...One of her sayings was that the best way to win over Ur enemies is to enjoy Ur day...My Uncle lived through and did come home. Prayer is powerful. Don`t stop praying 🙏
