I did my time on both, but played more on horde. For tremolo picking you need to practice making it a very small movement. If you're slamming your guitar around you're wasting energy and will get tired quick. Try and keep it all in the wrist. Keep your pick angled slightly forward so it kind of pushes off the string for you. I hope this makes sense, haha
I still love their older stuff. Scream Aim Fire and The Poison were great albums
