  • Come with me on a road trip in Norway. In this first part I follow the E6 highway north along lake Mjøsa. I stock up on important articles such as diesel, wine, oats and snacks, and make a first stop by Vikingskipet (the viking ship) arena in Hamar and at the tower of Mjøsa in Brumunddal. From there I go to Lillehammer, the Hunderfossen hydro plant, and find a place for the night up at Venabygdsfjellet (Venabygd mountain pass). I end with a hike up to the top of Mount Muen.
    I hope you'll enjoy the ride! Please leave a comment and hit the like button.
    Thanks for watching! Tusen takk!
    Pål
    - Thanks to Petter Faye Wevle for lending me the van!

    Pål, this is the eighth video of yours I've watched today and I'm loving your channel! You're making me want to pack up and move to Norway! Got to tear myself away for now to get some errands done but hope to continue my Pål in Norway marathon when I get back. Loved this video especially because I used to have a VW camping van about 30 years ago and have lately wished I still had it.
    Great job on the videos! Informative, highly interesting and fun!

    Thank you for yet another great trip with you, Pal. This one brought back some good memories. I believe we stopped at Espa for the buns, Lillehammer where we zip-lined the big ski jump, and then crossing the beautiful, stark mountains while listening to a perfect musical accompaniment you had selected. Many thanks for sharing your beautiful country with us.

    • @norwaywithpal
      @norwaywithpal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right Janet, we did stop at Espa, but your Zipline stunt was at Holmenkollen Ski Jumping Hill in Oslo. I've actually moved since then, and live just 15 minutes walking distance from that hill now. I go up there every now and then, and see people zipline down. Brave people ;)

    Aaaahhh... so Mjøstårnet is taller than the building here in Bergen? I think that was the tallest before this was build? You have a really nice way of telling your story with the camera and footage. Truly inspiring and i may borrow some ideas i get from watching your stuff. Thank you for another great video Pål. Keep this up. 👏🏻

    • @norwaywithpal
      @norwaywithpal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep I think it's about 30 meters taller. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and feel inspired! A lot of the stuff I do comes from me being inspired by others as well. But of course we all develop our own style. I think I like the voice over a lot, because I'm not such a big fan of filming myself "vlog-style".. but I might get over that

    • @tshansen
      @tshansen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@norwaywithpal Haha, i have the same problem. Not comfortable in front of the camera like vloging... but my english is not the best, so i struggle to do voice overs, and if i read from notes it sound like a robotic thing... but it is getting better by the minute. I think the way you are doing it now is just great. A little bit of both. Cheers

    Dude !!! I have hitch hiked the E6 all the way from Oslo to North Cape !!!!! Actually I started hitch hiking in England 😂😂😂
    And is that T3 yours ?? I have a 1984 T3 DOKA (crew cab) that I am fixing up !!! You defo have to come visit us here in the north with your T3 Pål.

    • @norwaywithpal
      @norwaywithpal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It belongs to the husband of my aunt, and he was kind enough to lend it to me. And I fell in LOVE with the car and with van life in general. Who knows he might let me borrow it again and I can come visit :)
      Your hitch hiking up north sounds like quite an adventure!

      @@norwaywithpal I am a bit of an old hitch hiker Pål, so a 7000km round trip is nothing special as far as distance goes, but the scenery going up changes so dramatically, and hitching thru Lofoten !!! Wow. Then again, Tana Bru , Kirkenrs and the top of Norway which I did on my next trip was just as exciting, even if it was only 3000km.
      With regards to the T3, there is a couple in your neck of the woods with a Blue T3 which they just put a new motor into... they’re defo worth a watch. Why don’t you get a hold of them?? His name is Simon Braeck if I have the spelling correct.

      @@subarcticlife445 Very cool. Don't see many hitch hikers anymore, its too bad as I think it must be a great experience both for the driver and the traveler. @@norwaywithpal Yeah!! They have the editing down to an art, much like you have Pål.
      It would be awesome to see you drive up our farm drive in a T3 dude. My motor is bust at the moment and I am looking for another motor to put into her so that a convoy can be thought of. What do you think of a small convoy of T3’s going for a coupke of nights camping??. Have you looked on Blocket for a T3? They’re becoming really expensive all of a sudden, and I suspect that sellers are FINALLY figuring out up here that they’re actually worth something. I really would like to buy another one to supplement the DOKA I have already, a camper with a permanent high top like the Joker would be awesome 😎 but I think it’s going to be difficult to get something even half decent for under 40k in Kronor.

    • @norwaywithpal
      @norwaywithpal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@subarcticlife445 A small convoi of T3s would have been very cool! Good luck on finding a good motor. I think the one I borrowed costed around 70k,, and it's in a pretty decent condition, so yes prices are going up, thanks to youtube I guess..hehe.. I'm not sure how this summer will look though, hard to plan anything these days.
