Where do you get those from!? I been trying to find them in the music shops here but can’t. They only have the pro series team built and it’s not as good quality as that!

I got this from Sweetwater, but really just look around. Reverb may have some sellers or you may even find some small shops online that are selling MasterBuilt Warwicks. All master built, due to them being made by a single luthier take quite a while to make so supply is not as high as Pro Series. For example this was the only one of these Sweetwater got in, so really if you see a MasterBuilt out there and really want it, do not wait too long to pull the trigger.

@@PersonSuit don’t have Sweetwater here in Australia. I’ll keep looking around. Cos yeah. The can’t find them. Only the other ones. If I’m gonna spend that much. I wanna get a beautifully built one. I’ve played a custom built Warwick over 20 years ago and still remember it to this day! Would be a dream to get one

Hey, I’m in the market for something like this! How does it play? Do you have a demo video?

    • @PersonSuit

Unfortunately I do not have any demos of the bass uploaded at the moment. The bass plays great, but I have a few things to say that I feel are not really mentioned in other videos that might help your purchase decision. First off, the MasterBuilt line has some amazing attention to detail. From the custom hardware, frets, and tuners. The more exotic wood selections that look really good front and back, you get something that really stands out. Since it is made by a single person, the attention to detail is pretty precise and you know you are going to get something that is as perfect as it can be from the factory.
Having said that, their Pro Series is also really good. While it may be team built vs built by a single person, it still has amazing build quality and parts. I also own a Pro Series Corvette JJ 5-String and it plays great. Honestly, unless you are searching for a specific sound you know resinates from a certain type of wood, or you just want a specific look, most of the time its better to just look at the Pro Series.
Having said all that. I do want to give a comment on the double buck ($$) vs the double jazz (JJ). I purchased this bass before my JJ, and I loved it. It has very rich deep tones, and a lot of control to shape it. I bought the JJ because I was curious just how different it could sound, with a possible intention of returning it if it was just to similar. To my surprise, it is a completely different beast.
The $$ excels in low base tones, with a wide range and being able to get that perfect low deep sound. I actually tune the base down to C#-F#-B-E most of the time and it gets the perfect sound for “A Perfect Circle” songs. The JJ on the other hand, continues in a way from where the $$ leaves off. The $$ can only go so high by design, and it gets to a point where if you want to play something maybe more metal were you need that bass to pop and stand out, the $$ is not going to get that, but the JJ will. I play quite a bit of Tool songs myself, and while the $$ sounded great, I could not really get that close to Justin’s sound. However, once I tried the JJ, it was much much closer.
Both are great, and both fit different types of sounds depending on what you are looking for. If you need more deep rich lows, then the $$ is the way to go. But if you want something that is more for Harder Rock, Metal, or has a more pronounced sound, then the JJ is the way to go. If I had to only pick one to play forever, as much as I love my $$, it would have to be the JJ. Not sure if any of this helped lol. But let me know if you have any questions and I can try to answer them.

@@PersonSuit I greatly appreciate your thorough response to my question!
I’ve been playing bass for over a decade and I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bass like a Warwick. I’m happy for you and I hope you get some good playing time with both or guitars!

@@kevinsainz7595 Thank you very much, and I hope you enjoy whichever one you get. One thing that may be worth looking into to is their Thumb bass. This bass is in a class of it's own. The closest example I can recommend to how it sounds would be the band Mudvayne. The sounds is not as versatile as the $$ or JJ, and it's kind of a "When it works it works" type of sound, but it's one of the most unique sounding basses I have ever heard. It's on my short list if I ever decide to get another one lol.

@@kevinsainz7595 If it helps keep an eye on Sweetwater. They have been doing 48 month financing on and off for Warwicks all year. You would have to sign up for their card, but it could help.
