- "What It Takes", filmed at the Paradiso Club in Holland for a Dutch television show, is from a 75-minute performance with no audience. Only a few songs from this set ever aired. We edited this unaired song from the 5-camera shoot. Other standout Aerosmith footage in our archive includes home movies from 1973, a full concert from 1994 and footage of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry busking on the streets of Amsterdam in 1993.

Most people, including Aerosmith's biggest fans, have no idea what a complete and true masterpiece this song track is. It may take listening to 1000 times, but once you see the inner-workings of "What it Takes," you have this "holy shit" moment when you realize the magnitude of its complexity. Desmond Child together with Joe Perry and Steven Tyler created this magic and I literally feel sad for anyone who hasn't a clue as to what I'm going on about here because it means they have never REALLY heard this song for what it is -- A true musical masterpiece.😎

Jumped when this can on the radio to show my dad who cut his first record in ‘61 & was on the business side of the music industry when Aerosmith came out written off as second rate Rolling Stones. My dad flipped when he heard Tyler’s voice & their musicianship

Use a powerful falsetto with some crunch on your voice. That is how he hits those high notes. It is just a falsetto belt with some necessary rhasp.

I've seen them twice live many years ago and I was also lucky enough to literally almost bump into Steven Tyler at Disney World!
What year did you see him in Disney world. I also saw him here in 2006 at the Tower of Terror exit. He was waking in the exit to the ride. He even acknowledged me. I saw him an said “Hey, Steven Tyler! As in shocked to see him, not yelling to him. He said “Hey man” back to me and gave me the peace sign. I tried to wait for him to come back out, but they said he wasn’t coming back that way and I had to leave. I tried to play dumb, but they knew what I was waiting for.
Steven tallarico was born to be a ROCKSTAR NOTHING ELSE ! These guys are irreplaceable such chemistry!
So glad am still alive to listen to his music. Steven was given his powerful voice to do what he's supposed to be doing. Thank you so much for giving us such beautiful songs, performances, and your voice. Your music will live forever!
