Guys.. it's called "8 Drum intros every drummer should know", *not*, "The most important 8 drum intros every drummer should know" or "The only 8 drum intros every drummer needs to know". If it's a missing your favorite intro, get over it!
Every once in a while you stumble upon a video of a guy who you've never seen before in TH-cam and you become an instant fan. You're doing a great job with your videos man, and I'm gonna order that cd of yours. Thanks for the laughs!
brachialmusiker just read the title again! If am not a drummer then i wouldn't be watching this video which says - 8 drum intros every "DRUMMER" should know!
+Phrosda1 Z i'm not a drummer, but i'm assuming it's a resonance thing. some sort of latent vibration from hitting the other things that might be picked up in the video. again i'm not a drummer so i don't know if i'm right or not
Love this guy! Soooo Chicaaago! Very naturally funny personality and a good drummer with a good understanding of mechanics, chops and feel! Keep em coming man!
Terry you gotta bring back videos like this. Drumming and talking. So the feel of the video is like we are just hanging out with you in the drum room. Love these!!
Gary Mallabar is very underrated, not only did he play on those Steve Miller Band classics, but he was the drummer on the Moondance album by Van Morrison.
You're a great instructional teacher man keep it up. I've been playing for 7- 8 years i think you're explanations are great and easy to understand for other players! i too was greatly influenced by bonham when i was younger everyone who was a drummer was all into double bass and i remember just sitting in my basement practicing heal toe over and over and over to get those bonham bass notes hes famous for! love the videos brotha man
You sir are as real as they come. I was watching a led zep vid and stumbled upon this video, Of a real musician playing what the heck he likes on the drums!!! I do the same thing on my guitar, and I don't care what people think. You even had the balls to look for a bloody shoe!!! XD... So thanks man, I'm definitely subscribing to your channel for more epic real videos!!!
I found out the other day my Dad wad handed John Bonhams drum sticks at a gig in the 70's!! He still has them! I'm just starting to learn the drums so I'll be getting those from him! I'll put a picture or a video when I have them
This guy kills me looking around for shit lol. I can totally see myself hanging out with this cat if he was my neighbor. I wish my neighbors were putting boots on playing Steve Miller in their basement talking about Bonzo.
Terry, I love what you're doing here. Great playing but more importantly, you're very funny in a very genuine way (meaning - you don't seem to be trying to be funny, just being yourself). Keep doing what you're doing. You are providing a great service to all drummers and some much needed "lightness" in an often much too serious world. Thanks again! You made my day!
This guy is so fuuny! I paid good money to watch this video and your wasting my time LOL...he is one hell of a character and an awesome drummer. Very talented!
Haha, the shoe!!!! Man, you need that shoe!!! :D You are damn funny even though you might not consider this as funny, its just a little lack of skill to play that beat like you want to, but I really enjoyed you man. We need more people like you! Cheers from Sweden!
I absolutely love your intensity, your deep knowledge and passion for drumming, for Bonham. Your enthusiasm is genuine and infectious. One question: is that your home or do you own a drum warehouse? That is A LOT of drum kits :)
After watching lots of videos on drumming and such . You are hands down the best , whether that be a distinction made by those whom have knowledge in the art of percussion or not may remain to be seen. ..... Ok ,are they done watching??? No problem. I watch you not only because you are WICKED good on the drums but you are funny as hell...I'm just waiting for the one where your wife yells at you from upstairs "Get off those damn drums and come wash the dishes!" LOLOLOL!!! I myself am a guitar player and consider myself a study of Jimmy Page. Good luck!

hi bonzoleum thanks for the video the bit looking for the shoe to washing Genius is hillarious :D and I learned 8 drum intro's to boot ; ) Awesome job!!! sorry you and your family was i'll glad your all better now :D I love your video's cheers m8
@@jacksonrichardson217it's been a while, still stuck playing in your basement? Or has the band or bands you've played in gotten anywhere yet? 😂 loser😅😅
Congrads on meeting a friend/roadie of Bonzo's...Great news indeed :) and toting some JHB gear with him! Outstanding. Enteraining video as always, thanks for uploading.
your playing is awesome do you teach drum ruds that I should learn for hard rock and metal I never bothered to learn them I just do straight and triplets some tunes I cant play because of that limitation
There was a famous ad in Modern Drummer back about 15 years ago where Scott Travis claimed that he could play Painkiller with one foot so long as he was utilizing the Iron Cobra pedal. This of course was a joke... but then again I wouldn't be surprised if Jojo Mayer said he could do it. There are videos of him playing quad strokes with one foot that might be fast enough. This guy in the video, maybe not. But I never said he couldn't use his other foot, just swap pedals out.
For some people a lot of these will be hard to play. Not sure why painkiller would be any harder to get right than 50 ways. Gadd fans would probably agree to that on any given day.
Looking for a shoe and comes back with a boot.I couldn't operate a bass pedal with that on,it would constrict my ankle movement,I either play bare footed or I use my very flexible black shoes if I'm playing at a venue, but that's just me..as they say "whatever floats your boat",BUT,great video and keep it up.
this guy is awesome. its actually funny haters come and watch the video and finish it so they can post some bullshit. you have nothing better to do with your time so i guess its sad really

The omission of "Wipeout" had me floored, because I was sure you would've had that on there. Great video, and great channel. Keep up the good work.
Smells Like Teen Spirit, most drummers think they know how to play the intro correctly, but they don't. They never go out of there way to learn it, they just listen. It's a damn good intro
Haha, I watched it right to the end. I like the uncut version hahaha. If you lived in New Zealand we'd be buddies, I love Bonham, but I think either Pictures of home or fireball deserves a spot on your list :-) I would probably put Regatta De Blanc in over Murder by Numbers as well what do you think? I really like this but you kept touching the drums and then you were going really quiet and you really need to edit this video, but apart from that this was so good you're posture and everything was perfect for o really do have some skills
He does. He's a great drummer, yet douchebags like me can point out stuff he gets lame on. I'm not a drummer but I have to deal with them. It ain't easy. Mute more desperately please.
The “touching drums” was most likely him muting the resonance ringing which might have been louder than what we get since some cams do have auto audio leveling.
Some people don't mind unpolished and unedited. It's more real cause realistically everybody makes mistakes. At least he isn't afraid to show the good with the bad.
