35 years ago, my wife and I got married before a judge because we were in the military and broke. She got out and I supported her getting her bachelors and she started her career. I retire from the military and she supported me when I got my bachelors and masters. We raised 2 boys and now have one grandson. Through thick and thin, we are still together and best friends after 35 years. We have many common interests and being close to retirement, I taught her to golf. Perhaps then, with a fear of retaliation, will judges begin to consider these men human. Perhaps children will one day have a father that can actually fight for them. Perhaps a divorce won't mean the most valuable aspects of a man's life are tethered to a decade+ vimpiric spiral which siphons the ever shrinking value and the respective dignity from the shell of what used to be man to her.
