I commend all the violinists and violists for playing without chinrests or shoulder rests. I know neither device/accessory was around during the Baroque period but just the fact that you are able to do that now is great! As a violinist/violist myself, I am in trouble without my chinrest or shoulder rest! Bravo :D
I loved this rendition. It didn't have quite the polish (no pun intended!) of a premier recording, but the conductor and orchestra evinced a real feel and enthusiasm for the music. Bravissimo!
