I'm happy that he won it in such a scumbag way because it exposed the issue to a wide audience. Maybe now they will treat these issues more seriously than when it was just people complaining on boards.
SinnerBeta Ubisoft only showed that they accept this behaviour.. If they wanted to make a statement they would've exposed him and disqualified him on the spot..
Disqualified for what? Using whats already in the game that they created? Their game isn't balanced and he used that to his advantage. Thats their fault. Thats like if I challenge you to a race then I disqualify you because you have better shoes than me... I should have seen that before I held the race(tournament)
Th3greatscott He is using an unintended feature, an exploit, giving him an unfair advantage over the other players. Sure the exploit shouldn't be in the game regardless, but it is pathetic to use it in any way shape or form (tournament or no). PS your anology is waaay of. It is like setting up a race between standard beetles and one guy rolling up in a beetle with a modified engine which makes it go faster 100% of the time.
To be fair, I'm glad the tournament went like this. Also the winner knew what he was doing when he was answering to the developer, he was verbally slaping ubisoft in the face. Obviously the "don't patch it" statemet was a joke, but everything else should wake them up from sitting in their office fiddeling with their thumbs. If your game is this broken it shouldn't take you half a year to fix. Bf4 with it's really shitty launch was at a playable and enjoyable state in 3 months, and that game was way worse at launch than for honor. This shows that ubisoft only cares about the money they make.
The guy is a hero in my books. He could've just pretended he was amazing at the game and do a huge ego thing but he basically said himself the only reason he won was because of the horrible game design.
Leinadlink bf4 is a dice game not ubisoft and it took a little bit longer than 3 months to be playable more like 12 months even then the issues were abundant
The Dark Souls community is a double edged sword. On one hand you have these incredibly creative players in PvP and PvE who are just pleasant to play with/against and then you also have those stupid saltly shits who think that they are something better just because they finished Dark Souls. The Souls community started going downhill with the release of Sholar of the first Sin,where the game was introduced to the mainstream and with that all those immature and stupid people started playing the game. The community actually used to be great with Demons Souls and Dark Souls 1 but then Dark Souls 2 and 3 happend.
As someone that still enjoys the game, this whole event from the looks of it (cause I didn't catch all of it), was a disaster. It was a huge embarrassment to the game and the community and it's pretty disgusting to see how they handled this event and what happened towards the end. It's good to see the community backlash against this, even if Ubi doesn't take responsibility about how they handled everything. It makes the game look bad, and the people that play it look bad. Hopefully they take the criticism to heart (I'll assume they won't cause they're Ubi, but we will see, not having played many Ubi titles in the past). It's a shame that this game has had so many issues, because at its absolute core, it's such a cool idea. It's a shame that the devs and the community give this game such a bad rep. But this event was something that can't be ignored, and can't be forgiven. I, personally, can forgive the unbalance, and all the other BS with this game cause I'm used to it from other fighting games (If you can't that's perfectly fine), but how they handle the integrity of this game is appalling. And this event just cemented that for many eyes to see, especially those that were considering picking the game up. Now it feels like there's no chance of new life coming into this game.
I'm glad you agree dood, it's a shame that people see stuff like this and mistake the entire community for being bad when there are genuine good players still going strong in the game. I've been playing this game since one of the early alphas and I just wish people would stop shitting on it just cause it's the popular thing to do. If we give constructive criticism and hope that the devs fix things, the game will be better off. Time will only tell at this point.
Jirasu i agree with you too and i fucking love this game. But with how up shits creek this game is imma just keep shitting on it. It's so bad in so many ways
It is man, I will not disagree with you. But the issues are largely mechanics. The game visually is fucking gorgeous. The art did an amazing job, we all have to give them credit. But the balancing team is a whole different beast. I've dealt with my fair share of unbalanced fighting games, but this takes it to another level. But at this point the only thing we can do is shit on the game constructively and pray to the universe that the devs get their heads out their asses and fix the issues. Maybe, way down the line, in maybe a year or so, the game will be fucking awesome and that's what I want to happen and what I'm hoping for. But for now all we can do is use what we have.
I honestly hope not because the game is so unique and fun. But I sympathize with everyone and their complaints. Just hope something gets done soon. Otherwise it will be over
I'm not going to lie, Alernakin was the reason I quit playing For Honor. I mained Nobushi since beta when she was a taboo pick and to see her progression become nothing but unlock bullshit ruined the game for me.
Well. We tried to be positive guys. This is a bit of a flop for Ubisoft. They can't hide from these issues now. Any For Honor fans glad to see these issues flagged up in their own damn tournament? I mean, they HAVE to fix them now, right?
I knew this was going to happen and as much as I love, and I literally mean love this game, this was necessary. These glitches and bugs have existed for a very long time, everyone knew about that and yet the decisions made by the devs only made it worse by showcasing this in a tourney with money as a prize. I still have hopes for this game, but there is plenty of work yet to be done to make it as good as it can be
I bought the game and hoped Ubisoft wouldnt disappoint me again, but I was naive. The concept of the game is awesome but the company behind the concept is shitty. They have to fix them but it I dont think they will because they dont care about us, but still it is funny to see all the problems in their own freaking livestream.
I have 100 hours logged in For Honor, can't bring myself to play it anymore. Every time I boot it up I end up Alt-F4ing out of a duel with some fuckhead using this or that exploit, thing is, I desperately want the game to be fixed, because when it works, it's incredibly fun and exhilarating. I don't think they will ever be able to fix it however, which is a damn shame.
Personally I've never ever met someone using an exploit myself. Although granted, I don't play very often at all (I'm only at Rep 3 total despite having bought the game at launch). I tend to come back every new season to try out the new heroes but that's about it.
Chosen_Undead clearly you don't love this game enough to watch it get better the real shame is your lack of will to see somthing bad become somthing great
I like the idea of for honor, but all these ganking squads, broken af dlc characters with unlimited power moves and unlock tech is what kills this game.
Dia Nuevo I completely agreed with you, I liked watch does 2 it was pretty good game and I generally like their single players game. They should just stick to making single player games instead of multiplayer
Well, that one dev did kind of call him out on it. But this just shows that they were aware of the exploit, they just don't give enough of a damn to fix it.
James Bond the fuck they arent, ive been double teamed, ledged, and ganked by more bots than actual people the bots are the most dishonorable in the game
Flóki Vilgerðarson well yeah but that’s part of the game man, I was more referring to the bots not spamming the same combo constantly or using exploits. And above all not spamming “wow” when they die.
James Bond the only thing that ive seen them not do when i decide to play against bots is that they dont say wow, every kensei bot uve fough spams top heavy and left lights, and every conq just turtles and does nothing but block amd zone attack
The game had great potential but ubisoft released it with loads of bugs and glitches. Then they fix it 7 months after release and expect it to be ok. It's just like AC Unity. They release it with a ton of bugs and glitches, then a year later they come out with a 10mb uppdate to fix it. They have these great ideas but just don't put any effort into it.
The thing that sucks about the competition is that Bandannaa, the runner up - he completely OWNED the comp with a legitimate Centurion. He absolutely smashed his way up the leader boards and showed that the Cent was viable in competitive 1v1. Not only this, but he was respectful to everyone at the event, praising them all for being there in after game interviews. And then he got it snatched away from him by a guy who basically cheated his way to victory. And then proceeded to insult him. The Nobu just literally spammed unblockable unlocked zone attacks and won. That's straight up exploiting the game.
Wow... he complained about how OP a class was then used the OP class to win a tournament... Poetic Justice, i don't even know what poetic justice means but i think it applies here. Because that is like the ultimate fuck you you can say to a developer who ignored you.
He said "please don't nerf nobushi" , you guys fucked up with that caption, he was referring to how the base hero doesn't need a nerf in 1v1, and how him winning this should not warrant anything other than fixing the bug. He in no way was advocating for the devs to not patch his unlocks.
Nobushi is fantastic when he is double teamed though. You give a nobushi exploiter revenge and he is spamming unparriable nearly unblockable incredible damaging zones and dash heavies until he runs out of revenge or wins. Put him on Zone B with the healing when killing enemy soldiers level one perk and he is practically invincible.
Shady Scourge Summoner that's all the peacekeepers on console. Just hit r1 and win. You say a person who knows these tricks and stuff would be formidable. I was just letting you know a good one is almost invincible if they use these exploits. I myself have never come across one either.
@Pinjanaught & @Shady Scourge Summoner, you haven't come across a "good" Nobushi because why would anyone play a character that you actually have to learn and practice to master, when you can just play Warden or Warlord and start kicking everyone's ass in about 5 minutes. I WAS a Nobushi main before the game "died" so i know what it takes to be a good Nobu, but running into the "vortex" and headbutt spams and all the rest, i figured "why the hell should i bother?".
Dontbesoft on Ubisoft, they don't deserve it. I feel bad for the devs and all but I don't think we should put up with this corporate bullshit. Devs should create a union or something and group up to protest their corporate overlords.
The developers probably have to deal with a tight budget and minimal resources. That results in half arsed games rushed through the release window for easy profit. These guys also worked on the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed which had similar problems.
The Outsider it's possible in companies where the studio was once independent, like it happened with many Microsoft studios like Bungie. But that's not gonna happen with Ubisoft I guess because 95% of their games are created by themselves... i.e their own created studios.
Honestly I wanted a refund for it after 2 months and still do. Haven't even launched the game since because it's a waste of my time. Too many issues to be even considered playable.
Ubisoft should be forced to pay everyone that took part in the tournament the $10,000. Especially after acknowledging that the winner cheated. They thoroughly and truly shit-the-bed on this one.
i feel that every esport competition is just stupid for not yet coming out with a simple rule such as this "any team/player caught/found using cheats and/or exploits will be disqualified and forfeit any winnings, as well as be banned from entering any tournament/event/competition for one year". boom, fixed. and anyone who would complain about that rule is a cheater and should not be playing in the competition in the first place imo.
Something that needs to be said, the exploit that was used to win the tournament has been patched as of yesterday, I honestly think they should've just hosted the tournament after the season 3 patch
Lol this is the best shit ever. That nerd just took home $10k without having to even be good at the game. Good job to Ubisoft for streaming them handing out a prize to cheating. So happy lol
this is freaking disgusting. I was genuinely thinking about purchasing this game after your last video but this has turned me off the series for good. classic Ubisoft creating shit games and having poor support for them.
Kindred Stag this and my experience with their god awful free weekend put me off from ever going near this game again. It's really sad as the concept was so good, why couldn't some other company have came up with it?
Max R vapperkills I constantly disconnected from games and played literally 1 full game in the two hours I attempted to play for. It was the exact same when I played the betas, they have done nothing to fix it from what I've experienced and seen. If it's all fixed with this new update and they do another free weekend then I'll give it another try, most likely it'll still be shit. The concept is wasted on Ubisoft as they are trash. Unity was shit, watch dogs was a let down, rainbow six still isn't fixed as operation 'health' fucked it further, the division was yet again more shit that promised to be something better and now they followed up all their other shit with an even bigger pile of shit that it seems like they're barely trying to save in the horrendous form of For Honour! If the new Assassins creed is shit then I firmly believe a lot of their current supporters will turn on them.
AngSt3r13 I rarely get disconnected. Also they are adding dedicated servers in season 4. I respect your opinions and agree with some of your points, but I think For Honour still has some potential
I love this. They basically killed the game by now and people grasping to it are just hanging on a cadaver. If you go to the for honor reddit, the front page is full of memes and bad jokes, nobody talks about the shit state the game is cause the community left never played a fighting game in their life.
Are Gareth's stares at the camera Morse code? Is he trying to tell us something. (Potential uprising from Goliath Media employees and now they are keeping Gareth hostage).
Oh the irony, a game called "For Honor" with a tournament that was won by dishonorable person. Classic Ubisoft, one good forward step then three backward steps of disasters ...
For honor is an amazing game, with amazing play style and really gives the player a Grungy style fighting experience. From a game standpoint it's amazing, and honestly it's one of my favorite games to play when it works and Im not getting beat by shitty exploits. But there are so many bugs in it right now that sometimes when I get on I can't even find a match let alone stay in one for more than half the time. The lag is immeasurable and really breaks up the experience. If Ubisoft fixed everything about this game and everything worked by design, it would be a solid 9/10 game for me. But as of right now, with the total amount of inconsistencies with the gameplay, it's a 5.5/10. Cmon now Ubisoft in REALLY want to like this game a lot.
Well I think the same bot remember is ubisoft they can't do shit man not even reimbow six gets away of the glishes, like you head shot someone and doesn't get kill ex...
Well he was playing for 10,000 dollars, so who really gives a damn about honour if there is real money at steak- and also in most matches no one uses these exploits as not many people play super high level and most people don't tolerate cheese and simply won't play you if you do broken stuff like that so the tournament does NOT reflect on the nature of the game as most people playing it don't take the game as seriously as 10,000$
The entire point has nothing to do with "for honor". It has to do with the fact the guy purposefully won by cheating and then got rewarded for it. It was all to show Ubisoft, "hey, your game's a buggy mess. Fix this shit". Clearly Ubisoft didn't really take it all that seriously since they were just like "oh you silly goose. change your playstyle but good work for exploiting our game that's had this issue for ages now". It was basically a pretty fantastic stunt to make Ubisoft look stupid in front of a large amount of people live.
The game has become significantly better compred to it's launch state, and is actually fun to play can we please stop hating just because it is cool for news channels to hate on For Honor.
Mr Poool The game should have been like this from launch. Developers are used to releasing shitty products and then improving them to what they should have been originally. Release a proper game you fucks.
I am glad this happened. Every time someone makes a complaint about an exploit, the companies and other players reply to the person saying "you need to just get good" or "you're the only one seeing this as a problem". To all of those persons saying certain things aren't broken, There you go. Now watch and re-watch.
Alrigh, say the raider is sprinting at you. You know he has his bullrush technique that he can do to grab you if you don't dodge. He can also do a running attack, but that can be dodged the same way. What do you do? Dodge, right? Wrong. He stops running the second he sees you start the dodge and gets a normal GB, which can't be countered since you dodged. 'Ok', you must be thinking, 'than I can just not dodge!' Nope. Here comes the charge that can scoop you up instantly. This is why people are complaining about him. That and his absolutely insane feints that he can pull off now.
Dear ubisoft i just started replaying "For Honor" every time i attempt to play this game it gives me a critacal errror. The error code is "700000019". I went to the online ubisoft page to get help with this error but nothing popped up spacifacally for this error, could you pleas help me?
the saltmine title goes to LoL players... they are so fucking ahead of everyone else, even ppl who actually work in a saltmine arent as experienced as they are
Yea unfortunately true. When the game first released people tried to be 'Honorable' but Ubisoft's slow hand at fixing problems in the game just allowed the stupidest of gimmicks from run spammers, to having the grab broken broken for 2 months where u couldn't cancel grabs for much shorter time intended, PC and Warlord being insane, Glitched hitboxes, Infinites, no punishment for ragequitting and DC'ing cause they already knew they had shitty servers, disappearing map list ,and the list goes on. Instead of quickly saying NO this is how we want the game to be played, they just let it run AMOK.
I was playing vikings last chapter on realistic, I had to retry so many times until I won. On the cutscene, it freeze on black screen and audio still runs in the background. I can't tab out of the game or change to window mode. I had to force shutdown my laptop, so I restart it and opened the game to see that I have to start from the beginning. I was really pissed about this and sent ubisoft a support ticket to complain.
definitely worth it if you liked it. I play it a lot and enjoy it immensely. glitches and bugs are being fixed as time goes on. the game will get even better
Sebastian Baez I'm prestige 13 with an orochi, this game is clearly a lag fest and I don't want anyone spending they're hard Earned money on a non functioning game
lol wow cuz that means shit right? I saw prestige 40 and they sucked dick. Hard earned money? most people in video games are max 18 or 19. They don't have to earn money lol.
In order for the devs to fix something or stop this tech exploit they have to take a look at each price of code in that character and how it's mechanics interact with the character so they can try to fix it without breaking anything
I tried the free trial but i found the keyboard and mouse controls crap even though i could rebind the keys. Rebinding isn't easy either in FH. Gave up on game i just found it unplayable with k and m. Can't be doing with a controller !
I'm pretty sure what he said WAS "For Honor is looked at as a fighting game." (to some people in the community) and that it's "on the level of Street Fighter", meaning that they are both fighting games and "it's gotta be super balanced to make it work" (Like Street Fighter is a balanced game and works as a tournament because of that). Only someone that has no idea what they're talking about would have missed the point of his statement. All he was saying was that 1. For Honor is considered a fighting game, like Street Fighter is also a fighting game. 2. If it's considered a pvp, fighting game, it should be balance 3. If you're going to have a tournament, it should be balanced.
Thank u for trying to make this game better, cause I love the hell out of this game but there are times where I am just puzzled on how things happened. So to see all those bugs go away would be great, so I appreciate u trying to make the experience that much better.
It's bad enough that they're still have For Honor be online only for ALL of their modes, but the fact that someone managed to win a tournament by using a major exploit and get away with it is just disgraceful! It's like that previous Splatoon 2 Splatfest all over again. Glad I didn't try to get this game when it was on sale.
Few years ago I worked as a dev at Gameloft, which is Ubisoft's sister company that does games for mobile and shares pretty much the same internal structuring and work processes (as pretty much all big gaming studios do ... it is sadly canon in the industry). I can say one thing - until they change their ways radically, it's going to be game after game full of bugs, unfinished, unpolished and never really fixed. One of the big reasons why I left there was that I was unable to create any piece of code that I could be even remotely proud of. The process of creating a game is one of creating enormous amount of bugs - by the end of the development cycle the code base is such a mess, that finding and fixing anything in it is a huge burden ... and it is used as a start for the next game. It is a software development method that prevails in the gaming industry and is something that plagued commercial software for ages until only recently, when pioneers like Google started coming up with different internal structure of their development teams and a different way of working that ensures products come out of the line relatively trouble free and most importantly - easily fixable. It involves automated unit and integration testing, test engineers and streamlined selection and execution of development tasks - things unheard of in the gaming industry. Until game companies evolve and adopt such methodologies, it's going to be a disaster after disaster. It was manageable in the past, but modern games are huge projects that suffer enormously from the unscalable nature of the development processes that were in use as far as 20 years back. They have created phenomenal scalable processes for game assets creation, why aren't they updating their software development too is hard to explain. I believe, if we want good games, we should urge game studios producers and managers to study Google's and others blogs on the matter of development and testing organization, which they have explained in a lot of detail, and take steps to incorporate these methods. As a developer I have seen the difference myself and it's like night and day.
At least Ubisoft is saying they want to fix that stuff whereas I've heard of the independent tournament organizers were saying the game needs exploits.
In unlock tech, it is an issue. But a lot of people did not know about it until recently. How can you patch something, that you don't know is an issue?
killahk798 not really. I've had quite a few friends at where I would mention it and they would have no clue what I am talking about. They are actually rather decent at the game too. Like I said, wasn't really well known until Season 2 and that was towards the middle-end of it
Im not mad im amazed that he had the balls too pull it off and force the devs too address the issuse by showing them off live in front of hundreds if not thousand of people, props to the guy, but at the same time shame on you.
If I kept asking someone to fix something but they didn't, and then they gave me a way to make money off of their own incompetence and laziness I would 100% exploit the shit out of it. Anyone angry at the champion does not understand how the world works, to motivate people you need to publicly punish them. I am sorry it is the case, but otherwise they won't give a shit.
I want to like For Honor. I really do. I love the concept, the gameplay in the beta was enjoyable, back when the exploits were not known and no one was rank 10000, and I was truly a big fan. I just want a good, unique game that runs well. For Honor could be that if Ubisoft showed the same level of attention they showed a game like R6 Siege. This just breaks my heart.
I must admit after your vid I was tempted to try For Honor, but then I remembered it was Ubisoft. A brief amount of googling revealed a ton of issues, too many to ignore. This vid highlights that the problems start at the very top of the org chart.
I'm glad the unlock tech was used to put it out there to see by so many. Mainly ubisoft so it will be fixed. We talk about it, we make videos about it but it's not good enough. I'm a big fan of the game and looking forward to the fixes.
I personally don't blame the guy, I mean yea, it was a bit of a dick move winning a tournament through an exploit, but he did previously write a whole document concerning Nobushi and the various moves and exploits. If Ubisoft wanted to prevent this, they should've patched the game as soon as they were made aware of the exploit. He wasn't cheating per say, he simply found a specific combination in the games mechanics to form an unbeatable offense. There was no hacking, no cheating, he was simply using the mechanics that were already there, and everyone had access to.
During fights, like boxing, if someone is "exploiting = hitting below belt" or any other no-no situations, the ref usally give the fighter an warning until he cancel the match. I wonder why they did not disqualified him earlier when using exploits during an event.
It wasn't a no-no situation here though. There was no rule that said exploiting wasn't allowed. So, Ubisoft got punished for their oversight and incompetence.
I've bought the game after your last video about for honor, and I'd like to thank you for still keeping eye on the game, and seeing the pain of a major part of the community. It's a pity that Ubisoft fails so hard on so many levels. I reckon that they have a small team of Eastern Europeans working on the game, and zero to none community communications. I think Ubisoft just closed the eyes on the project and let's it die.
This is a really great video on the matter. Almost shocking that no one else isn't talking about this. I love this game, I do but yes, defending this game AFTER the hero series has me looking dumb as I've promoted it in other aspects of social media. Lol.
I picked up for honor during the free play weekend and when it works, it’s a lot of fun and I have a blast playing but the server issues still seem to be present mostly when playing dominion, I’ve played some brawl and 1 on 1 duels and don’t seem to be seeing the same server issues there but it seems the not that many people seem to be playing those modes. That’s a shame I wish the community for dueling and brawl were stronger.
"We did a positive video" "Sung Ubisoft's praises" Not quite guys, but a little stretching of the truth never hurt anybody :) Jokes aside, keep up the great work!
For Honor player here, and the only complaint I have about the tourney is how misinformed amateur news outlets are about what happened. A Reddit post is not a credible source.
To be honest, unlock tech has been a problem since it's discovery. I was there for that. I was also there for the community tournaments players set up. There was always a debate about whether or not unlock tech should be illegal or not. With this dude making a very in-depth and detailed post on how strong Nobushi was, and then WINNING the entire tournament with that same class while also using unlock tech just proves his point even further. This guy winning the tournament better send a message to Ubisoft. For a AAA company, they sure move slower than most indie companies on fixes. (My last point also includes rainbow six: siege, but they've been doing a better job, so i'll give them a break on that)
I'm happy that he won it in such a scumbag way because it exposed the issue to a wide audience. Maybe now they will treat these issues more seriously than when it was just people complaining on boards.
SinnerBeta hit the nail on the head. It all shows that this game is no state to be used in tournaments.
SinnerBeta I'm going to have to agree with you on that. This needed to happen. This was pure bull shit.
I love the winner, he crapped all over ubisofts game in a couple sentences and walked away with the money
Is this really hugh mungus?
He snaked multiple players the fucks wrong with you are ya goofy in the brain
To be fair, I'm glad the tournament went like this. Also the winner knew what he was doing when he was answering to the developer, he was verbally slaping ubisoft in the face. Obviously the "don't patch it" statemet was a joke, but everything else should wake them up from sitting in their office fiddeling with their thumbs.
If your game is this broken it shouldn't take you half a year to fix. Bf4 with it's really shitty launch was at a playable and enjoyable state in 3 months, and that game was way worse at launch than for honor. This shows that ubisoft only cares about the money they make.
Too true.
The guy is a hero in my books. He could've just pretended he was amazing at the game and do a huge ego thing but he basically said himself the only reason he won was because of the horrible game design.
cTrix
He was laughing his ass off, he couldn't believe it either.
Because Ubisoft was ashamed as fuck as they should be.
Leinadlink bf4 is a dice game not ubisoft and it took a little bit longer than 3 months to be playable more like 12 months even then the issues were abundant
It's good seeing the For Honor community make the Dark Souls community seem like a nice bunch of fellows.
Sean XxX Dark Souls PvP still is the 2nd worst thing to ever happen , the 1st is this game.
Dark Souls as a PvE game is still incredibly good
Sol_at:Re dark soul pvp is meme creator
For Honor community makes the Dark Souls community seem normal.
tbh the DS community is a bunch of nice fellows, atleast from my experience
Yeah. It feels like the last nail in the coffin.
I honestly hope not because the game is so unique and fun. But I sympathize with everyone and their complaints. Just hope something gets done soon. Otherwise it will be over
For Honor: The game which at first seems like it could be a game for honorable people only, yet actually has the most dishonorable people of all time.
Shady Scourge Summoner Scratch brawl, rarely seen someone honorable in there..
LightningBlaze100 tbh the game is called for honor, not with honor. If people fought to the death they would do whatever they could to survive.
I'd just like to point out your name.
LightningBlaze100 and it applies to you perfectly.
LightningBlaze100 every character has a counter... just find it and play in an adaptable style and you'll have a much better time.
I'm not going to lie, Alernakin was the reason I quit playing For Honor. I mained Nobushi since beta when she was a taboo pick and to see her progression become nothing but unlock bullshit ruined the game for me.
get good
Do you still play ? what do you think about the game nor
@@des6801 I don't think anyone actually plays For Honor anymore - it's been that way for the last couple of years
Pixel Fox oh no lots of people still if that was the case the ubisoft wouldn’t put money in dead game. That’s bad business.
Pixel Fox I’m not sure if you keep up with the game but aloes change
Pretty Good Gaming take thats guy money he won a ban him
they gonna do an operation health.. meaning lower the game quality to add more microtransactions features and items.
Right!?
I have 100 hours logged in For Honor, can't bring myself to play it anymore. Every time I boot it up I end up Alt-F4ing out of a duel with some fuckhead using this or that exploit, thing is, I desperately want the game to be fixed, because when it works, it's incredibly fun and exhilarating. I don't think they will ever be able to fix it however, which is a damn shame.
Chosen_Undead salty...btw i have 2 weeks in it and u still think its great, barely ever get exploited
SuperPhoenix765 what exactly is salty here? He's just putting out his opinion, like you are.
Think and gain knowledge on anything before you speak.
Personally I've never ever met someone using an exploit myself. Although granted, I don't play very often at all (I'm only at Rep 3 total despite having bought the game at launch).
I tend to come back every new season to try out the new heroes but that's about it.
Chosen_Undead in all my 279 hours in for honor I have never played vs a person using this =-=
Chosen_Undead clearly you don't love this game enough to watch it get better the real shame is your lack of will to see somthing bad become somthing great
I like the idea of for honor, but all these ganking squads, broken af dlc characters with unlimited power moves and unlock tech is what kills this game.
Eli Al none of the Dlc characters were "broken". Except maybe in 4v4. That was pretty bad.
stupid fuck oh wow you really do match your name with that comment
Eli Al "ganking squads" 2v2 wasn't meant to be 2 1v1s and 4v4 wasn't supposed to be 4 1v1s lol
Eli Al your pissed at ganking? Fuck off
People can defend the game all they want. It's dead and deserves all the hste
This always happens to Ubisoft multiplayer games
Dia Nuevo I completely agreed with you, I liked watch does 2 it was pretty good game and I generally like their single players game. They should just stick to making single player games instead of multiplayer
Spaghetti and Meatballs everyone gets one☝️
Weeeelllll, Rainbow six siege is mostly bug free from these kind of exploits so i don't thing all of their games can be blamed
i am impressed by the amount of people that like watch dogs 2.... it sucked cock imo
Im suprised about ubisoft games actually connecting from time to time.(what sorcery is this)
There's a bigger question here..... Why the fuck did they not disqualify him if it is considered an exploit?
Ben Harris There wasn't any rule against using exploits, what he did was technically allowed.
Haha that's insane - Even still though, it ultimately falls on Ubisoft to allow that.
I bet you UBI soft wasn't even aware of the exploit until the guy used it.
Well, that one dev did kind of call him out on it. But this just shows that they were aware of the exploit, they just don't give enough of a damn to fix it.
Blade+ lol how convenient, i bet there wasn't a rule against it because they just didn't want to acknowledge it happening.
Dont ever patch it?? How about we patch Ubisoft´s income?
UbiBroke
LMFAO, that caught me off guard.
Frederick the Great I'm done XD
This is why I just play custom matches against bots anymore. Bots aren’t scum bags.
Flóki Vilgerðarson I’ve never had any of that happen.
I've been killed by a Valk who spam light left light up heavy feint again and again. I understand.
Hey that's me in the thumbnail, ay lmao
SypherPK I had no idea you competed in this tourney when I watched it years back
The thing that sucks about the competition is that Bandannaa, the runner up - he completely OWNED the comp with a legitimate Centurion.
Lets be honest goobisoft has never been good at balancing as seen with Nerfbeard
TBH while the r6 community jokes about this however he is balanced and those who believed otherwise did just took a meme as a real thing.....-
Pete The Rock dude , blackbeard is still super strong. He still is the best 1v1 character in the game. Are you silver?
Pete The Rock or when your best known and most beloved r6 character is underpowered af
Lord tachanka
Wow... he complained about how OP a class was then used the OP class to win a tournament...
The Outsider COMMUNISM DETECTED!!! (This is a joke)
It gets worse and worse...
Honestly I wanted a refund for it after 2 months and still do. Haven't even launched the game since because it's a waste of my time. Too many issues to be even considered playable.
-Is a douchebag.
-Wins tournament.
-*EZ Game*
Is my new rolemodel.
It's hilarious how unlocked tech is considered legal in most tourneys
Good shirt Mike!
Cheers pal
Pretty Good Gaming Your channel banner clearly says "bad shirts"! This is an *outrage!*
i like to live on the edge!
Ubisoft should be forced to pay everyone that took part in the tournament the $10,000. Especially after acknowledging that the winner cheated. They thoroughly and truly shit-the-bed on this one.
Thank you Ubisoft now more people can be aware of your shit
i feel that every esport competition is just stupid for not yet coming out with a simple rule such as this "any team/player caught/found using cheats and/or exploits will be disqualified and forfeit any winnings, as well as be banned from entering any tournament/event/competition for one year". boom, fixed. and anyone who would complain about that rule is a cheater and should not be playing in the competition in the first place imo.
I've played for honor, love the game and had no problems. For me its worth buying.
this is freaking disgusting.
AngSt3r13 Guys why are you so negative towards the game? I play it and its great fun. Also What was so bad about the free weekend ?
Max R whats so bad is that new players would be turned away by the toxic community and try hards in the game.
Ubisoft plays their fans for fools!
For fucks sake, why do people still buy their games?
Cadmus because they make the best unique games in gaming industry!
Because we think they are fun and don't care about petty crap?
Ezire r6 was good from the beginning
Bugs, exploits and unbalance doesnt sound petty. Sounds like serious issues
Ezire so true so tru
But since I just watch the game I don't deal with shit severs and i really like it
I love this game. Why the fuck did Ubisoft have to develop it.. 🤦♂️🔫
Papa Kahn i know right?😣
Are Gareth's stares at the camera Morse code? Is he trying to tell us something. (Potential uprising from Goliath Media employees and now they are keeping Gareth hostage).
I tried For Honor on the free weekend but... why was every game mode on low-activity?
Penguin2B still no
Well he was playing for 10,000 dollars, so who really gives a damn about honour if there is real money at steak- and also in most matches no one uses these exploits as not many people play super high level and most people don't tolerate cheese and simply won't play you if you do broken stuff like that so the tournament does NOT reflect on the nature of the game as most people playing it don't take the game as seriously as 10,000$
Alexander Okak Total for all tourneys was 10k he won around 2-3.5k
NormalMrCool still there is a difference between winning for the feeling of winning, and winning for a shit ton on money.
Since when did unlocking bypass a block?
Ohhh Ubisoft... ;)
Luchsius is that.... Jim FUCKING Sterling son!
WAS THAT A JIM JIM RFERENCE ??!!
Jake Jutras thank God for him
Stop giving Ubisoft money.
FlyingBlob88 Some of the best advise I've seen all day. Bravo mate!
Just stop fueling this garbage company that doesn't know how to make a proper game.
"Still op"
Raider.
What?
Raider got buffed to top tier during season 2
mrcomp his charge is the only thing that makes him broken at the moment.
Shadowed Dragon Films yeah fighting a raider these days is such a huge guessing game and you're so fucked if you guess wrong
Shadowed Dragon Films Can't Warlord and Conquerer do the same things though?...
Dear ubisoft i just started replaying "For Honor" every time i attempt to play this game it gives me a critacal errror. The error code is "700000019". I went to the online ubisoft page to get help with this error but nothing popped up spacifacally for this error, could you pleas help me?
He said "please don't nerf nobushi" not "nono please don't patch it"......
For honor has the worst community... bunch of cheaters and salt miners
REAL EYES OPEN Yeah it kinda does.
the saltmine title goes to LoL players... they are so fucking ahead of everyone else, even ppl who actually work in a saltmine arent as experienced as they are
Yea unfortunately true.
REAL EYES OPEN
There's plenty of great people too, but they never get noticed because of the toxicity being popular
rep 11 and never came across a cheater
How about single player anybody ;)
Lynne burland downloading it
I love For Honor, I play it a lot.. Watching the tournament made me cringe to no end.
What song is that? It's in every video
I played the free weekend and like the game, it's $40 right now but I don't know if it's worth it. Can anyone help?
Icarus it's not worth it at all, run
definitely worth it if you liked it. I play it a lot and enjoy it immensely. glitches and bugs are being fixed as time goes on. the game will get even better
Sebastian Baez I'm prestige 13 with an orochi, this game is clearly a lag fest and I don't want anyone spending they're hard
Earned money on a non functioning game
lol wow cuz that means shit right? I saw prestige 40 and they sucked dick. Hard earned money? most people in video games are max 18 or 19. They don't have to earn money lol.
Okazawa Games most people bought the game with they're own money, not everyone are kids in this game and i never said I was trash at the game.
That's some Pretty Shit Gaming right there.
Efff off Ubisoft
In order for the devs to fix something or stop this tech exploit they have to take a look at each price of code in that character and how it's mechanics interact with the character so they can try to fix it without breaking anything
I tried the free trial but i found the keyboard and mouse controls crap even though i could rebind the keys. Rebinding isn't easy either in FH. Gave up on game i just found it unplayable with k and m. Can't be doing with a controller !
"On the level of streefighter" HAH boi you have obviously no idea what youre talking about
Suspicous Tree I think he means 5 cause that one is wack
Still 5 has zero bugs and is pretty balanced
I'm pretty sure what he said WAS "For Honor is looked at as a fighting game." (to some people in the community) and that it's "on the level of Street Fighter", meaning that they are both fighting games and "it's gotta be super balanced to make it work" (Like Street Fighter is a balanced game and works as a tournament because of that). Only someone that has no idea what they're talking about would have missed the point of his statement. All he was saying was that 1. For Honor is considered a fighting game, like Street Fighter is also a fighting game. 2. If it's considered a pvp, fighting game, it should be balance 3. If you're going to have a tournament, it should be balanced.
these guys clearly dont play the game lol
PG do you even play for honor?
Thank u for trying to make this game better, cause I love the hell out of this game but there are times where I am just puzzled on how things happened. So to see all those bugs go away would be great, so I appreciate u trying to make the experience that much better.
It's bad enough that they're still have For Honor be online only for ALL of their modes, but the fact that someone managed to win a tournament by using a major exploit and get away with it is just disgraceful! It's like that previous Splatoon 2 Splatfest all over again. Glad I didn't try to get this game when it was on sale.
fuck for honor I'm done
Yet another for honor bashing video there seems no end to milking that story
Xtra Buutter They have legitimate good arguments unlike you who is defending a game which is shitting on their own fans.
do u guys have an extra ps4 copy always wanted to play the game but never had the money to get it
The little small questionnaire at the end has me dead😂😂😂 it was too funny especially when he said "No, don't patch it!" OMG that was too hilarious
All my trolling does is get me blocked on Twitter and sent restraining orders. This fool trolled his way into $10,000. A God is born.
Ty for the updates and info. yep i stoped playing after 2months and came back for 1 week when season 2 started. now again s3, so lets see whats next?
Can someone help me? I cant play any gamemode because it always shows me that i need to be group leader and group size info. Can u help me out
Few years ago I worked as a dev at Gameloft, which is Ubisoft's sister company that does games for mobile and shares pretty much the same internal structuring and work processes (as pretty much all big gaming studios do ... it is sadly canon in the industry).
There are certain games you just stay away from. Thank god for youtube helping us to better spend our money via game reviews.
In unlock tech, it is an issue. But a lot of people did not know about it until recently. How can you patch something, that you don't know is an issue?
Avery Machen this was a well known glitch the only people that didnt know were either new or bad players
killahk798 not really.
Is it just me or is the music playing in the background narcoleptic nuggets intro?
I would want to come to ubisoft one day and tell them what i think about all their ,,upgrade"
I must admit after your vid I was tempted to try For Honor, but then I remembered it was Ubisoft. A brief amount of googling revealed a ton of issues, too many to ignore. This vid highlights that the problems start at the very top of the org chart.
Is that Gareth Evans? I am completely surprised to see one of my youtube guitar teachers in a For Honor video.
I think it's a good thing that happened to the tournament is now Ubisoft has a video of what happens and now they can better patch it
I'm glad the unlock tech was used to put it out there to see by so many. Mainly ubisoft so it will be fixed. We talk about it, we make videos about it but it's not good enough. I'm a big fan of the game and looking forward to the fixes.
Holy shit it's Gareth Evans!! I've wanted to learn don't think twice for 14 years and it wasn't until him that I learned it!
"We did a positive video"
"Sung Ubisoft's praises"
Not quite guys, but a little stretching of the truth never hurt anybody :)
Jokes aside, keep up the great work!
Roman looked ready to break that guys wrist like damn that guy who won should have his prize revoked .
For the record he said "No no no don't nerf nobushi" not "no no no don't ever patch it"
Havok just rewatched that part and he did say dont nerf nobushi. Lol if he thinks that's what they're referring to he must be blind
(My last point also includes rainbow six: siege, but they've been doing a better job, so i'll give them a break on that)
Can I get that as a shirt? "Fix your shit ubisoft"
The issues have already been fixed in the game, for those wondering.

It's worth $50 au at the moment (half price) should I get it. I'm thinking buy it now so in the future when it's full price and patched I can play.
Off topic because I really have no interest in For Honor, but my point is you guys have a great channel and glad I found you guys a month or so back.
Glad to see Mike is back!
