    I’ve been having a lot of resin FAILS lately so I went back to your lesson to be happy, again❤️. Thank you for this video as it makes even the most inept beginners look good! Much aloha from Hawai’i 🌺

    Great work. Love how you did it. Not mixing resin with paint, then applying to glass. Easier to do what you did, apply resin first, then adding paints. Love it :) Thanks for sharing this.

    Loved how you explained everything - Looks Gorgeous! I'm a beginner with resin, and have found using frog or blue paint on the bottom makes it easy to catch and remove any drips. Definitely will be watching for more videos :)

    I’m doing my first project this weekend do you have to scuff up the glass for it to stick also second question can you do this on acrylic sheets as well and do those have to be roughed up to or does it matter

    • @amazinga.f.artwork9047
      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its actually be better on acrylic than glass. The thing that this style has going for it is the backing pushing onto the glass while it’s in the frame. My friend Villa has done a lot on acrylic plastic. I don’t think she scuffs them at all. She’s in a ton groups on Facebook. Check with her and see. Artbybode
      I’m this video I did scuff it a little with steel wool. Only thing I can tell you about the glass , and it hasn’t happened to me…. Is that it can eventually crack the glass / separate
      But the way In this video with the backing , that helps to prevent that.

    Hi, canit be used as stained glass once completed?

    • @amazinga.f.artwork9047
      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be. But I would say more as a decorative thing. With resin and sunlight , sometimes it likes to yellow. So i wouldn’t really use it as something that’s going to be in direct sunlight all the time. You can try to experiment on something small and see what will happen.

    Is this resin good for outdoor direct sunlight

    • @amazinga.f.artwork9047
      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never really tried it outside to be honest. I know a guy from polytech Named Rick Widdle told me he had used on wood boat seats , and says it’s been fine. But from my own personal experience , I have not used it outside.

      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It Has for me. I’ve done 2 so far and I haven’t noticed any issues. Plus with the way I did it with the frame in this video , it has constant pressure pushing on it from behind.

  • @KMF3
    @KMF3 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a question. I've been doing a few of the resin on glass and and I have not scratched up the glass because there are parts that are see through and I don't want to have a bunch of scratches on the glass. I'm hoping that my resin will stay put over time. I'm putting crushed glass on mine not so much color.

    • @amazinga.f.artwork9047
      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well to be honest I’ve seen the horror story’s in some of the groups of people having exactly that happening to them. Like the oceans on the mirrors.
      The way this was done inside a frame , and with a backing putting pressure on it makes me more hopeful of the glass staying put/ resin stays on the glass. It’s a totally debatable process.

  • @KMF3
    @KMF3 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why do you put the backing on? It would look better with light going thru

    • @amazinga.f.artwork9047
      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. It would. I agree. But that’s the way I designed it. Plus I new it was going to be hanging up in a room out of the sunlight so with the white backing it would look better than say a grey or darker color wall behind it. Does that make sense

    I take my glass out of the frame and apply resin, and make 3d art. I don't understand why people keep the glass in the frame and have to prep the frame from leakage. Seems unnecessary.

    • @amazinga.f.artwork9047
      @amazinga.f.artwork9047  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t either. I just used the glass in this. Then put it back in the frame. Just the way I did it. I guess everyone does things differently. That’s ok
