    The media should discuss with law makers and SAN that citizens should be able to make written complaints to their respective members of parliament, same to apply to local authorities in respective areas. There is no known office where these people have surgeries with citizens that have ele cted them. The citizens need to be able to see whom they elected when they encounter some form of difficulties and would wa nt to make formal complaints. Which we hope it will be addressed. Then offer feed back.on the issues in question.

      Yemi Ojumu, you're absolutely on point with the issues and suggestions mentioned in your comment.
      The main reason why the citizens are unable to access the very people they presumably elected to serve and represent them is because:
      Nigeria is a rogue State!
      The Nigerian system is completely broken and the country needs a new Constitution which is applied and implemented if any significant progress is to be made, going forward...

    Some Nigeria Journalists ask questions as if they are not involved in the affairs of the country. I hope they have their pvc and vote for the Labour Party
    if their questions are not hollow. I remember how the pdp/apc politician insulted the Journalists who asked him who was bankrolling his tour of the South East.

      Because they would not pause to let her participate. This is something I have noticed with Falana every time he is a guest. I think he, like you, practice unconscious bias against females. He likes to interrupt and ignore female hosts. She has a right to participate.

    • @vocallocal7824
      @vocallocal7824 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Speshemmy From your comment. Why are you asking her to calm down, when you never asked the man to calm down when he interrupts. Besides, every time Falana is on, he tends to ignore her questions, and keeps speaking when she tries to put in a question to him. It has happened several times, and I noticed it before this interview.

    There had been 10 elections in Nigeria, all characterized by violence or controversies. The 2023 election is holding in the midst of extreme state of insecurity. And elections may not hold in at least 30% of the Nigerian territory , especially in areas held by insurgent groups.
    The problem of Nigeria is not about electing a good candidate, but the impossibility of operating a dysfunctional system, that cannot work in a country of multiple nations with different cultures, idiosyncrasies, ideologies and visions.
    The various calls for devolution of powers to the federated states are derided and mocked by Nigerian politicians against all logical reasoning . The nations, who do not want to go down with a failed state are enforcing their autonomy through the various secessionist groups viz: Boko Haram and ISWAP ( to establish an Islamic state , IPOB and Massob want Biafra, the Yoruba self determination group want an Oduduwa republic. Boko Haram had already established itself with a functional administration; making laws, administering justice, levying taxes , collecting tributes and providing security for the people in their fiefdom . And Nigerian Law Enforcement agents cannot dislodge them nor confront the other irredentist groups. As a matter of fact, the loyalty of the police and army are first and foremost to their respective ethnic groups, which makes enforcing federal control all over the country almost impossible. It is in this dire situation that Nigerian politicians are campaigning, hoping to rule a country that is on the verge of collapse.
    Which way out? At the appropriate time, most likely out of desperation, all the political class from all parts of the country will come together to make a choice between staying together as one country in a federated system left by the British government in 1960 or break into several nations, the British amalgamated in 1914.
    If the former is chosen, (federate) Nigeria will flourish like the United Kingdom, which is a confederation of ( England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) or like the 51 states of America (USA) where each state shares its sovereignty with the federal government. These two countries are the most powerful in the world, and at a point UK ruled the world.
    The second alternative will be to turn out like the defunct USSR, Sudan or worse Libya, where there are multiple governments ruled by warlords.
    The choice is open.
