I think you should always be supervising her when playing with the wool toys as one youtubers cat had sadly passed away as she swallowed wool but I'm sure you will be the best owner and make sure she's only playing wih things safe for her. Bella is adorable♡♡♡♡

Don't listen to the stupid people who write negative comments, the last comment i saw suggested that collars are horrible for cats but its always bettter to be safe than sorry if your indoor cat does get out or gets into dangerous situations in your home the bell will identify where they are in your home. Aslong as the cat is fed, loved and healthy then thats all you need to worry about. If the bell does distress your cat then you can figure that out at the time but to me she looks rather relaxed and happy with it on, i love how everyone thinks their opinion is what is best. She is beautiful, you're doing a great job.
Yes I agree with your comment, but their are sometimes okay because they can suffocate if it’s too tight and cause serious injury but if you get the right collar then it’s fine
I have a Ragdoll born September 5, 2023. A few tips if I may: (A) Food wise: Royal Canine Mother and baby cat up to 4 months then the Kitten up to 12 months then Ragdoll formula.with the cans. (B) The fur between the paws do not need to be clipped. That fur is like the whiskers they serve as receptors. Please have Bella see a groomer. You are doing an AMAZING job with her. She is very lucky to have you as a momma. I have had many many cats and litters in my life. Best wishes!
Hey! Bella will be two in March so she’s an adult now. I have never feed her on royal canin food because I’ve only ever fed her high quality food. She wouldn’t even touch any of the pouches if you put it in front of her. The dry food is fully of grains I feed natures variety because it’s grain free & high in deboned meat. Bella was on the kitten one & now she’s on the adult one. I always recommend it to customers in my pet shop looking for a high quality food and it’s much cheaper than royal canin too.
As for wet food I only feed her the good stuff. At the moment she’s eating raw cat food but some good brands are untamed , blink , Applaws , meowing heads , encore , Canagan & natures variety are just a few I’ve tried.
As for the fur between their toes all it does is keep the pads a bit warmer & add a bit of grip.
Bella doesn’t need a groomer I do everything at home. I’ve got different combs & brushes so she doesn’t end up any knots. I also trim her nail’s when they get really sharp. I know some people like to have their Ragdolls shaved I’m not really into that. If she needs a bath I can do it myself I gave her one once at the end of summer.

You should get a Water fountain type bowl for your kitten, and a levitated food bowl. It helps with their posture, and motivates them to drink more often!
She’s almost two now and I have a fountain but I don’t really have anywhere to place it in the flat and she drinks water from her bowl just fine ☺️

@@malicahamilton It was very devastating when our kitty ran away, we still miss her and hope that she is out there somewhere. As for the two cats, we just got them today! They are still shy but one of them played with me and showed me his stomach, so that was fun, they’re currently hiding under my bed. I’ll be sure to check out your updates on Bella! 🩷
I just adopted two female 12 week old British shorthair(dad) X Ragdoll(mom) mix. It is only my second day with them and I could say that I truly adore them. One of them loves to be picked up and the other does not. One has short hair the other one is a little fluff ball but they are both oh so freaking gorgeous. They can be the calmest kittens around and then out of nowhere they get a case of the zoomies and start darting and roughhousing together. I named them Sasha and Porsche(a). Will come back with an update. Strongly recomend this mix and definitely get two from the same liter.

Teach her not to bite your hands by playing with a toy instead. I got my Persian cat from a pets hop in Manhattan and the breeders did a spectacular job training the cat not to scratch the furniture or bite. My cat is an angel!
She’s over a year old now. She does bite my hands when playing but it’s always gentle never hard. The same with the bunny kicks. Bella is really good with furniture which is good. Probably because she has alot of scratching post she has 3 along with alot of toys. She doesn’t make a mess of the house and you can leave a pile of stuff on the floor without her making a mess of it. She’s really well behaved although she’s rather cheeky ☺️

Great video - she is so beautiful! 6 months ago I got my first kitten, Pumpkin who is a British Shorthair, and then 4 months ago I got Apollo our Maine coon. Going to breeders is so important because like you did, I wanted a purebred without any risk of issues that you'd often find from animals at shelters.
Adopting is important - but so is buying from respected breeders :)

I have been rescuing 1 rabbit at a time since Feb 2021, from pet stores, or sometimes from slaughterhouses in my area. As we live in an apartmental flat, we don't have a secure garden for my bunny, also that grass is not clean or enriched. We have lots of stray cats everywhere. Due to our poor conditions, and circumstances, I feed her the least grass from that garden [handful of], I have this in mind to start purchasing commercial timothy hay, pellets for my bunny, once I start earning. Also, in my home-state in India, there are no trustworthy doctors! Love Bella!!❤❤

She is beautiful! Make sure you take her for a vet check just to make sure she is healthy. She does seem as if she is sneezing and she does have some dirt in her ears. This is always a good idea when buying a kitten online, even though you said the lady seemed nice, there are so many scam breeders that tell you anything you want to hear just to sell a kitten. Also when feeding her, make sure you arent changing her food brand too often as you dont want to create a fussy cat or upset her delicate tummy. Stick to one brand only if possible.
Thank you & I said in the video that I was going to the vets with her. She’s registered at a really nice local one that I’ve worked in and have taken some of my previous animals in the past. Her ears didn’t have any discharge just a little dirt on the tip. She had a bit of discharge round her nose when I first got her and she was sneezing a bit but I did mention in the video I was changing her litter because her current one was very dusty. She no longer has any nasal discharge.
I brought the exact wet & dry food she was already on and then introduced small amounts of the Applaws complementary food which is meant to be fed occasionally along side a complete meal. I eventually transitioned her onto a higher quality complete wet food which is normal to do if you want to feed them something different than what the breeder was. She’s still on the same dry food for now but I will transition her onto something else once the bags also empty.
Shes not fussy at all as long as it’s proper quality food she will eat it. The untamed tins have a really nice variety of flavours with the bases being either chicken or tuna. She has 4 complete meals from them and I’ve recently brought 5 flavours of the complimentary jelly to try her on over the next month. She’s eating larger potions of food and you can now see she’s a lot fuller so much healthier looking. You can feel the weight on her too she’s getting heavy. Her coat looks so much better she doesn’t look like a fluff ball like she did before. Her toe beans were a little dirty but they now pink & really soft. She even let me trim the extra fur off her back paws. She’s doing well ☺️

Always make sure they don't eat stuff off the floor so they don't choke and make sure to take them to the groomers every week, or if they have dry skin, every other week

Cats very rarely need to go to the groomers. All they really do is brush them , wash them , trim their nails etc stuff I do at home already.

Based on everything you've shown in this video you've done your homework and you're doing a good job on selecting foods and toys. I think you are going to be a good cat mom.
I Hope it's okay if I make a few suggestions. I had a Maine Coon and a very large Tiffany. Sadly, they're no longer with me. They were very large, as will be your rag doll. They grow to be bigger than your average cat. My first suggestion is as your cat grows you may want to try elevating her dishes. Also, you will find that cats love water fountains and they tend to drink more water if they have a fountain. You may want to consider a stainless steel litter box as her next box. Plastic tends to accumulate smells. If this happens it won't be pleasant for you or kitty.
Also, please stay away from scented kitty litters. Cats really do not like using litter that has a fragrance added to it. I learned the hard way with one of my kitties that became asthmatic just how harmful litters can be that have fragrances added to them.
That's it because you seem to really have everything your baby needs. At this point all that's left is making sure you give your cat a lot of attention. They love being with their people and they love a lot of attention.

I love using tiki cat food along with applaws, I also enjoy feeding her chicken broth from the nacho brand. Most of the snacks i get her are one ingredient freeze dried treats and she enjoys them very much.

I’m actually getting a cat soon in a few days and I have no idea what I’m doing aswell so your not alone girly! But I know some tips from other cat owners is the main basics a cat needs is litter toys love and care beds and since ur getting a kitten I recommend a spray bottle for training so the cats learn what’s wrong! Now sometimes they won’t listen but cats HATE water! So they’ll respect u after a while! I hope u and your kitten are happy and healthy 😊

Bella is doing really well she’s an Adult now her birthday was March 25. At the end of July I would’ve had her for a year. It’s gone so fast ☺️ she’s a really good cat she’s so well behaved. Sometimes she can be a little cheeky as cats are but she knows when she’s doing something she’s not supposed to do. I’ve got her into a little routine now so she knows what time she’s gets fed , what time I get him from work and she’s like my little fluffy shadow. She’s very true to her breed that’s for sure haha 💕🌸

I was going to try her on that one because we started stocking it at work however I already started to feed her on the natures variety kitten food. She’s on the adult one now and she loves it 💕

I recommend a metal litter scoop! It won’t be as flimsy and it’ll last longer! I also recommend tiki cat! Either which are very well! Have fun with you cute kitten!

I have a ragdoll called dolly. I also have 2 syrian hamsters lula and lilo. I have just upgraded from a pets at home cage to a ikea detolf!

If you put more litter in the box she won’t get pee or poo on herself. She needs enough to cover the poo & enough litter to soak up the pee.
Thank you! This video is from last summer so I know how much litter to use in her box. She does occasionally get poo on herself anyway which is common for Ragdolls. I have to trim the fur around her bum to help that.

I heard getting a water fountain is rlly good cuz they will drink more water since its running water and to them it means it's fresh or from a waterfall so they will drink more since they don't drink much!! Just a suggestion but maybe she doesn't mind! Xx love Ur cat sm

I have a ragdoll.
I don't know if you know this but it is good to keep your water away from the food.
Tiny particles of food cat get in the water and cause their to be bacteria .
To be honest particles will get into her water no matter if it’s next to the food or not. For this reason if I’m using a water bowl then I change it twice a day. Even if I’m using a fountain which is in a different room particles get in there
I heard that you should wait until they are 1 year to give them catnip. I also heard someone say that fish is actually not that good for their systems (must do some research on this). Congrats on your adorable new kitty. I love the grey patches on her fur.
They are allowed catnip however they might not feel the effects until they are around 7 months old. Bella is over a year old now and she doesn’t really care for it.
Cats can eat fish. It’s really good for them and most cat foods contain fish. They can’t however only eat fish they need a variety of other meats in their diet. Chicken is actually a lot healthier for them.
