if you live in Florida here's a tip take a empty 2 L ( as many as you want) fill it with water about 1/3 of the way then freeze it if you lose power it'll help keep your refrigerator cool
That is a very valuable tip to mention and I think many people wouldn't think of it. Always helps to be as prepared as possible. After that...give the rest to God. Prayers up for everyone.
Mike, why are you going around posting this on every video? And saying 1/3 only? That's nonsense. You can fill any jug and size and it will help. Just leave an inch or so from the top so it does not bust the container but you can fill them mostly full. And the point is that the more stuff you have in your freezer, the longer it takes for everything to thaw.
I love how all the Floridans that been through hurricane stay calm however people the move here post covid freak out just be smart and don’t underestimate this storm the storm surge alone is dangerous
Born an raised Floridian The news is making this more than what it is, all these government people telling everyone GO OUT AN BUY STUFF when it’s not Katrina 😂

So, a year later. Ian hit Cape Coral, not Tampa. Since Tampa was evacuating, Cape Coral had no place to go, the roads were jammed. We lost a lot, less than we feared. We did learn important things. First, Publix food stores all have generators, they were fine. We need life vests in houses, older folks can't swim in their houses for hours. Land lines are useless, which means credit cards don't work, cash only. So, we're building again like crazy, most places are open away from the beach. Nothing will stop us!
Because you are an adult who choose to live in hurricane territory. Look at evacuation zones when deciding where to live. Fill up your tub, extra cook pots with water. You should always have nonperishable food on hand during hurricane season and only need to pick up bread, eggs, misc items, prescriptions, extra pet food & some cash, Batteries too. Government help is for after a disaster hits.
Why should anyone buy you food if you can afford it on a regular basis? Fill up pots with water from your tap and if you need to evacuate, you can take a school bus to the nearest shelter, you don't have to get out of town.
EVERY SINGLE YEAR same thing. Keep in mind that the storms get weak as it hits land. If you know where you live act accordingly....BUT all of the Bay area doesn't need to go crazy. We have storm season every year, so u should always be prepared for this season.
