I hope the good corporal Fred is pleased! A museum would be a nice home! Also consider a US veterans facility. The VA facilities often have displays of uniforms and artifacts on display so others can learn and remember.
yeah, no way that cardboard box is 75 years old. and no way that uniform and sweater spent 75 years in an attic and are that good condition. bet they were in cedar for a long time. still lovely uniform, especially the far east aaf patch and matc dui. ration books are actually fairly common. remember every single citizen in the usa not in the military was issued one. ive got several from family. love the graphics on them. really enjoyed this box opening.
@@veteransmedalsworkshop-moa4376 yeah, looks way too mint to have been in an attic for 75 years. ive seen ww1 uniforms stored in cedar that looked brand new. they probably came across "dads old army cloths" and need the space and threw it in the box 20-30 years ago and forgot about it. oh well, at least its going to be cherished and displayed now. thats the important part.
I have and area in my basement that I cannot approach. It's Filled with about five duffle bags form my time the 3ID and 8ID. Mostly it's about Iraq. Stuck 'em in there 23 years ago and walled the area off. It is weird, but I just can't open 'em. I've tried.
Glad that the family member was nice enough to give the uniform to someone that cares.

The Army reinstated them not to long ago. Bought one and the are nicer than the class A. The material isn't the original.
