    I find it so interesting that today, I was thinking about the impracticality of racial categories as they always exclude ethnic groups that don't follow the 'rule'. I definitely think we should could continue to categorise people by ethnicity rather than perceived race as it's more accurate as well as authentic to how those ethnic groups view themselves too♡.

    I am white. When I was a young woman, I had wavy blonde hair. In my late twenties, I had my first baby. During my pregnancy, my hair changed from blonde to light brown. With my second pregnancy a year later, my hair changed from slightly wavy to tight corkscrew curls. It remained that way for twenty years. Now at 63 I am blonde again with silver streaks, still very curly. My hairline changed as well, from straight to a definite widow's peak. Not receding, just reshaped.

    Makes sense. When healthy textured hair is aligned, this explains WHY it looks so shiny, healthy and beautiful!
    It's naturally the shiniest type of hair. Science is very cool. Thanks to the GREATEST Scientist EVER! 🙏🏿👑APTTMH.

    I had to rewind the part about 'textured hair being naturally shinier than straight hair'! However, your explanation about the elliptical shape allowing light to be reflected more easily makes total sense. So we're only being told part of the truth when we hear that naturally kinky hair just has a dull appearance due to possible cuticle damage and non-clumped strands. They've left out the part about natural kinky hair being the shiniest! Who knew?! Thank you for shedding the light on this!💡 (bad puns intended)😊

    Thought straight hair was considered to be shiny. A natural textured hair was considered to have a sheen.

    Interesting. I guess black men who wear waves in their hair achieve the shiny wave pattern by repeatedly brushing the hair to align all the fibers.

    Hi, I am suprised about the light reflection part. I have always heard that straight dark hair tend to be the shinniest.

    • @NaturallyHigh
      @NaturallyHigh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Darker hair is shinier but the rounded strands don’t reflect light as much as elliptical ones.
