- I hope this video motivates you to appreciate the thought behind every song made by DAY6. Behind every song is a five-member band who works endlessly to perfect the right melody and lyrics to gift to the the audience and fans.
This video was way overdue. I did this video way back in June but didn't find the motivation to post it up due to the length of the video. But I think this serves a good reminder why it's our turn to give back to DAY6, who has given so much to us.
Note: I Wait, Goodbye Winter, You Were Beautiful, My Day and How Could I Say aren't included because the WRITEUP videos only started in March.

why young k mostly talked about alone and loneliness like i want to give him a big warm hug and whisper he's not alone not ever ♡
From "Wish" to "I Need Somebody" and to "All Alone", these songs are all about loneliness and being depressed and being insecure with yourself, having low self esteem. I hope Young K is doing fine and okay...... idk its just that the lyrics are so deep and depressing. I really hope he has someone he can really leans on and he should know that he deserves all the love and blessings that he got.

@@muhammadidris5389 these songs are written solely by young K, the members help in composing and arranging the song. But the lyrics are written solely by young K except for the day and some other songs where other members have helped
@@aymansayed1154 "Wish" was actually mainly written by Sungjin. At least, the song was his idea or 'baby.' But I believe YoungK and other members helped write the song too >.
Is that because Young K is only child? The others are last child on their family. So maybe Young K feel biggest loneliness than other. I'm sorry this is my own opinion🙏
Luckily music is the perfect way of scape for all of this feelings... As long as his letting it all out it's only good for him (or them)
In conclusion day6 is the most powerful superband,cannot write a bad song,and is made of five(5) visuals :)
But in all seriousness this video really touched my heart 💓
I love the way they talk so passionately about their songs, especially Brian... I'm a musician and a composer too, so I can relate that there's nothing more special than finish a song and see that you've done well. And I think they always feel this, 'cause all their songs is perfect and so well done... The instrumentals, the synthesis, the harmonies, their voices, everything in Day6 just make me be sure that they're the best band in Korea, and this make me a really proud MyDay ♥ (sorry my english, I can understand everything, but when I'm going to write or speak I have some troubles kkkk)

It's not that their songs are the same... It's just our (normal people) feelings are so simple and beautiful that even if you try to describe the feeling with words you can't. Our whole life is basically about loving something or someone, leaving behind or being left or having fun right at the moment or crying for not being able to express what you really feel...
I think every myday likes their songs because they portray our raw emotions that probably we can not express by words... Because their songs are simple but express a lot.. Thanks for the video... I fell in love with day6 once again.

I can listen to Day6 talking about their songs all day. I fell for them bc of their music. They are so sincere. From the instrumentals, melodies, harmonies, vocals, live stages... Everything is perfect. I cant even imagine how much effort they put in. True artists indeed.Plus they not just play the instruments. They are actually good guitarists, bassist, keyboardist and drummer. Again, true artists indeed

Thank you for the compilation. It is fascinating to hear songwriters talk about their creations. Also, from these clips I get a sense of their personalities as well. Wonpil is really an introverted sensitive soul who thinks a lot and feels deeply. He’s more observant than ppl give him credit for. YoungK has a different sort of observation because he has the ability to relate to ppl’s feelings without being affected deeply. Perhaps this is why he has the ability to put such observation into words. Jae expresses his soft side in the songs he created. He has this facade of being nonchalant but it’s just a front. Sungjin is a pragmatic and concrete guy, matter of fact and practical. He grounds these 3 dreamers so that the products are more sellable. His sensibility reveals this tendency. Dowoon is very instinctual. He reacts without thinking, perhaps a trait being a terrific drummer. His world view is actually finely tuned to fit his belief. He is a huge believer in his destiny (being the best drummer) and his mission (being part of Day6 forever). Dowoon isn’t a dreamer per se. However his earnestness isn’t the same as Sungjin’s. Dowoon is more expressive because he’s very confident in everything he chooses to do. While Sungjin holds back a lot and always behind a polite public face (being a leader carries responsibility). This group is really one of a kind, a perfect blend. It is evident that They keep learning and growing as composers and songwriters (music becoming more sophisticated and bold). I have hope that they will go far and have longevity, staying and making music together for decades to come, like Bon Jovi and Rolling Stones.

I studied MBTI personalities for a couple of years thus the tendency to analyze behavior and expression to decipher what dominant and auxiliary functions they have. Interviews like these when they talked about creating are better than general interviews and scripted variety show type. Some of their vlive segments are also revealing. Therefore this is why a TH-camr like you is gold. We don’t have to search and watch everything because you have done it for us. Have a great holiday and a bright 2019.

I'm a big fan of Got7 but in terms of music I will definitely choose Day6. I always look forward to their new songs every time and they fits my taste so so well.
There isn't a song of Day6 that I don't like, I feel powerful and alive when I listen to their songs, even when I cry! They give voice to my feelings. They deserve all the success of the world.

It's obvious their music varies a lot, they also like to insert new combinations of styles into songs which is cool, but I also was initially drawn into their work because of their lyrics. Normally I don't care as much about the lyrics when it's in a language I don't speak, but for me Day6 lyrics are deeply empathetic, since they don't just talk about romantic love, and they do a really good job describing very nuanced feelings, especially that hope+melancholy feeling that's hard to describe...
Sameeee i mean when i hear the "letting go" for the first time, i dont understand the lyrics but i'm crying because i think i can feel the meaning of the song and since that i stan day6 👧👧

Day6 songs are those songs that i really search for the trans so that every melody and lyrics sunk deep im my heart huhu
As I always say the variety of melodies that they make are not simple, they not only compose but been able to make them their style and be catchy to people is not something easy! as a person I'm not only a fan but also I admire the work they do.
As always I'm grateful that I was lucky enough to be since their debut and be inspired to love music again
I feel like people who say those ridiculous things about DAY6's songs probably don’t speak Korean and they don't look up the meaning behind the lyrics either. I speak Korean (somewhat fluently) and that's probably why it's easier for me to appreciate the story that they're telling through their songs. The theme of the songs might be similar but people would be surprised to realise how that the actual story in the song can be very different from one to another.
Also, I'm not exactly a musician but I do sing and I listen to A LOT of different types of music. So I'll randomly notice how DAY6 actually mixed in a lot of different genres into their music and that's why it doesn't feel the same to me at all. I'm sometimes surprised at how they can blend several genres into one song and managed to make it DOESN'T feel disjointed at all.
People just have to pay attention before commenting such ridiculous thing, man.
On another note, I especially like the line in Hi Hello that goes: Together with the word 'hello', 'you' and 'I' became 'us'. Every single time I heard that part I would be like, "Whoa. This line is so beautiful."

There is this artist in YT too.. who make animated Mvs of Day6 songs..(shout out to Deisuhh) And It really blows my mind how she manages to find a different perspective in Day6's Song and incorporate that into her art and put it into Mv vids.. I think.. songs of Day6 are about perspective and different scenarios you are in.. If you are experiencing the rollercoaster of life , then you'll appreciate more the songs of Day6.. Coz They got this rollercoaster kind of Discography.. They'll give you that taste and feeling with the lyrics and melody that their songs have.. If you are feeling the same all through out their songs.. maybe you aren't feeling alive yet.. You need to feel,explore and be engaged to different aspects of life in order for you to feel alive..by then maybe these people will appreciate that every Day6 songs are unique ,😊

the reason I like DAY6 songs so much is because they do such a good job at capturing the nuances of different emotions. there’s a special story behind each one, just like that, i feel that i love each one in a different way :’)

Thanks for being our way to give back to theae handsome and talented boys. I really appreciate and admire how they had diverse meaning to each songs..they aren't stuck to just love-hate, make or break lyrics..I love how they talk about life, about youth! In short, their songs are masterpieces, relatable, heartwarming (despite of the fact that some of songs are about breakups and loneliness but there is a sense of comfort of being understood/expressed by a song) and therapeutic. I casually just get into this band and now I'm going deep and falling harder.

Wow okay, the end made me tear up, they truly deserved this award but for a long time now.
I started listening to DAY6 when I became a k-pop fan (which was back in April of 2016) and ever since then I'm a huge fan of their songs. At first, I didn't take my time to learn more about the members, only like a year after but that didn't stop me from listening to their songs and waiting for each month to pass in 2017 to get new songs from them. They are true artists, musicians. It's not only that they are the ones who produce and write lyrics to their songs, but you can tell (even this video 100% proves it too) that each song has a meaning behind it, a thoughtful idea, maybe a past experience, and they didn't just sit down in the studio and made them half-heartedly. Instead, they put their everything into their tracks. Plus let's not mention the amount of passion they radiate during each performance they have. Even on those music shows where they can't even play their instruments live. I'm just glad JYP put them together and created such a great band, and let them grow and find their ways for their own music. DAY6 gave us 63!!!!! songs that are versatile, unique, relatable, with deep meaning behind them. Seriously, you have a DAY6 song for every moment in one's life. Feeling sad and lonely? I Need Somebody! Wanting to confess? I Like You! Want to jump around in your room? Dance Dance! Going through a breakup? I bet you can find at least 10 DAY6 songs for that lol
But anyway, to close of my long comment, I really just wanted to encourage MyDays to go and vote for DAY6 on MAMA because they truly deserve to win. I do like the other bands nominated in the category, but personally, DAY6 will always have the biggest soft spot in my heart. They far beat out all those other rock bands (Western mainly) that I used to love and listen to prior discovering k-music, because their songs just mean that much to me. I'm so glad back in April of 2016 I decided to listen to Letting Go, because from then on, their songs became a major part of my life and all of my playlists too.
