Idk if yall have notices but console gamers aint about that p2w life. That's more of a PC thing but even they have limits. If they're looking for PS5 players to pay2win they'll be sadly mistaken
There may be some interesting ways to monetize aspects of the game that make it both enjoyable for the player, and beneficial to the developer. Lineage, being heavily clan/group dependent could add a feature that allows solo players to benefit from raids and castle sieges, such as reducing death penalties (exp/item loss), and providing a means for them to obtain gear and goods from raids and sieges. Coming from L2, the game was near impossible without regular groups, and joining clans. It doesn't lend itself to more independent US play styles. The developer must generate revenue to keep the game running, and expanding. I have many fond memories playing L2 in high school, but I now have a full-time job, and I really don't need another one. That said, I'll be there on launch day, for sure. Been waiting 11 years since the initial Lineage Eternal hype, and over 15 years to relive that MMORPG nostalgia. Fingers crossed.
NCsoft are morrons... they should just take Arenanet approach for GuildWars2. Arena Net is their studio, just implement the same monetization in all if your games. Its obvious that the monetization system in GW2 has carried the game through the years and it is one of the most played games to date. Why not use what is known to be working?
@@-Hiraeth- it made money short term to eventually die out, blozzard canceled their WoW mobile mmorpg after 3 years of development. Let’s not forget that the EU is banning lootboxes which might lower the chances of pay to win, blizzard is removing lootboxes from overwatch and add battlepasses.
@@WarTraveler84 Let the man dream.🤣 This is not the first time a Korean developer said that. So far, from my experience (and I have played a ton of Korean MMO) this is never the case, or it might be at first then they transition to P2W once they get everybody on board. Korean developers are ruthless when it comes to monetization. They rarely accomodate their community. They would rather have the company go bankrupt then listen to their player base. Even if they were to work with a Western publisher/Dev, they will never bend to any outsider. Lol. I don't know why they are like that, it must be a superiority complex. A "We know better than you!" mentality.💀

@@blackwater7183 who cares every game is
This is extremely disappointing. Sad to hear that a game I was looking forward to playing has been delayed just to add Pay to Win.
Restructuring the business model to imitate Diablo 4's P2W.
So sad. Right down the toilet
D4 has no P2W but ok
@@hanskrans8937 I assume he means Diablo Immortal, however we will wait and see about D4, since you have no idea at the moment
