I am still building mine (exact the same with the one shown at the end of the video) and my suggestion is that if you try to DIY, think again as it will be really really challenging - let's say 100 times harder than IKEA, here's why: Only some of big parts are labeled with unreadable factory codes and all mixed up in piles when delivered (Yes you will need to unpack and spread ALL parts on the floor before start, then guess and try). No dedicated instruction come with the product. I had to read though 5-6 online instructions before it starts to make sense. Why so many? Because they copy and paste pages from each other and still don't cover 100%. This video sounds very detailed before you start. But you will soon realize it is incomplete. For example, it doesn't mention the garage door installation. I had to go to Stratco's retail shop to ask the staff - he doesn't know too and had to call head office to get engineering team to contact me. They eventually send a screenshot from the instruction which I already read and pointed out it's incorrect at the first place. Before making purchase decision, test yourself by read through all instructions relate to garage door installation from their website to see if they are comfortable to understand - the actual work is harder since many parts don't look exactly same to the instructions and some totally different. Keep in mind all small parts are mixed up and not labeled.
@@mousetrap13 Glad to know you find it easier. I had no experience for it - the hardest part for me is some parts and the instruction don't agree with each other. Eventually most the problems turned out pretty straight forward after they are figured out. If I'd do it again it will take no more than 3 days. However before that, I have funny moments when a part belong to one section packed in a different pile. Some accessories boxes delivered to me were ripped open and mixed with parts from likely returned stock. I don't mind that but it made it even harder to put the puzzle together.
@@TVTV-rm3sn i know exactly what you mean, my shed came with no instructions whats so ever, and just general email with links and junk links. i work in food industry, we have over 50 operations and every operation has its standard operational procedure SOP, so you get that food product everytime same great quality. stratco has under 50 sheds i would guess, and cant come with specific individual instructions for every type of shed...? for a 5900$ shed i am not happy with how the beggining looks like ... :D
I have a 2nd hand shed similar to this one to put up, avid DIY lady. I was going to put the frame up & then clad. I've been told about this method & after seeing it I'm inclined to try it. I would've thought there's less room for error this way? I get the lift part will need assistance but apart from that, why would it be better to put frame up before cladding? Any thoughts please?
That is how I plan to build mine, firstly to make lifting the side frames easier, secondly to make it easier to lay the floor slab (the wall sheets will get in the way). I have a friend who is helping me who has built heaps of sheds and has always done it this way.

I bought a 6x3x2.4 m high wall gable roof "single garage shed" with roller door. Instructions are general. I am a handy man but never built sheds, I was hoping to receive in my email pack "of how to step by step" how to build my own shed i bought and not receive a general email with this video attached to it and other advertising stuff. STRATCO AU, is it that complicated to have a specific instruction for the shed i bought? Am i expecting too much for a 5900$ shed? Make your product easily read and understood by simple handy men not just builders- this is how you increase your market. I need a simple step by step guide how to install my shed, thanks

@@stratcoAU i have been told “we have had same instructions for 11 years”. For a DIY shed ( 6x3 m and 2.4 m high wall) as is advertised, there are almost NO instructions. What about giving proper instruction similar to a IKEA product, steps to follow to build the shed please…? Unless STRATCO you make this on porpoise to get more business to build it???? I feel forced to contract a builder to build a DIY shed only because the available instructions are hard to read for a handy man, they are more intended for builders and engineers…. I built a shed with these plans from Ryan [ Details Here?> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ] . The instructions were clear and easy to implement. Even a novice can be able to build fast using this plan. I'm happy I bought the plan. It also saved me much cost.
How does the C section columns go cemented into the ground? I've heard mixed reports about doing this and also doing the slab inside the shed against the colourbond, any advice? I kind of figure that if stratco are doing it then it must be ok

The concrete will be flush with the bottom edge of the colourbond. It can be a problem if filling above the sheet level, usually people do that with existing flooring or such.
Don't nock the coating off when finishing concrete it will rust at concrete hight big cost to fix 5 15 years later hope this helps. I have made good money fixing post an footings .easy to fix a roof hard to fix footing
