Chasing Ghosts - Sydney/Gadi - October 11 2024

Naarm band Chasing Ghosts returned to Gadigal country to mark the release of their new single “Amnesia Everybody”. Two other new songs were also played, as well as, a great selection spanning right back to their early days - a total of 12 songs.

It was a nice mixture of musical genres with plenty of much needed social messaging.
The last time I saw Chasing Ghost was at Yabun, and there was a strong southerly blowing which seriously effected the sound quality of my recording. So I had been looking forward to being able to video them indoors. Bootleggers is a small venue with limited viewing opinions. And while the sound wasn’t too bad, I thought the lighting could have been better. My camera certainly struggled with it. Still, I’m pleased to now have some decent footage of a band that I think deserves a whole lot more recognition. I’m now looking forward to the release of the new album and hopefully another follow up tour.
