Hello! I’ve been trying to formulate an ASMR roleplay to help alleviate or sooth tinnitus for some time now, and so I’ve combined a few ideas into one that should hopefully - at the very least - distract you from that inner din and nasty ringing in your ears. Let me know how it affects you, if it helps, or if it’s utterly ineffective! Either way, enjoy!
Here are some timestamps in case there are elements you’d like to skip, or skip to:
    00:00 - Soft-spoken introduction and glove sounds
04:48 - Tonal therapy (tuning your tinnitus frequency to C)
06:45 - Ear cleaning 1 (putting oil in your ears, muffled sounds, and ‘follow my finger’)
10:19 - Ear cleaning 2 (mic scratching, brushing, and close sounds)
18:17 - Light triggers (sensory diversion with penlight)
19:48 - Head tapping to relieve tinnitus
23:37 - Head massage for sleep

    🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
    📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
Disclaimer: This video is intended for relaxation. Any views, opinions, or advice expressed is purely for the purpose of entertainment, and to induce tingles through ASMR. These videos are not a substitute for traditional medicine, therapy, or any other professional medium, and should not be treated as such! Take all the advice with a pinch of salt, and certainly don’t take it to heart. That being said, please enjoy them, benefit from them, and hopefully get those warm, tingly feelings. Oh, and it’s not for kids.

I had hearing losses over the years from stress. It's okay right now, but I know what to do if it comes back in any time. I just have to click on this video. ^^
This is the doctor I would like to have in some difficult situations in life. Very empathic and relaxed for example. Very mindful. Some things would become better if more doctors would have a bit more of it in some situations in my opinion. Jepp, also there are characters like these I've met in the world outside but they are so rare.
Thank You for this alternative medicine. ^^

I don't think I can accurately state how much this video helps me with everything. Honest to god.
Faust is a dear comfort character that I've gotten on this year's Valentine's and. I got the funny mental illness where I base all my emotions to the fictional men that exist in my head. So having a doctor that has gone through so much, did so much wrong, but still persists and grows past his regrets and self loathing? Oh he. :)
And having this video, really helps with taking a step back. Thinking about Faust as he does his weird shxt. Calming. Oh so very calming. And gets me quite joyful too.
So like. Uh. Thanks Jimchi. This is lovely.
Also the fact that you read him so well by only looking at how he fights?? Even if that was only a shot in the dark, that is a very very accurate descriptor of his character from GGX to GGXRD.
    Have a good day, sir.

Mines is very on and off. In my head I feel it now today this morning it was in my left ear for like 10-20 min or so. Tinnitus is so random but I’m lost cases it goes away lowers to the point it feels like it’s gone or in cases where it never leaves you will get use to it as impossible as it sounds and it won’t bother you unless you focus only on it or look for it. For sleep or during the day if it bothers a lot just slap some earbuds in and listen to something should work like a charm on not hearing it 😊

The one with the fingers behind the head sounded to me like someone being flogged by a cat o nine tails, or something like that, sorry if that bothers anyone to comment.

That’s part of why we enjoy Jim’s videos: his voice! I would not like a version without talking; his voice gives me the best asmr feels ❤

It helps when you actually be quiet and do the ASMR instead of just babbling on under your breath sorry but you just don't understand what tinnitus is

Hello man of a thousand faces. Thank you so much for creating this video.About 20 years ago lightweight tinnitus in my left ear became my constant companion. Just now, I can barely detect it. To me, if no one else, that seems to imply that tinnitus is both a physical and psychological phenomenon.
When my tinnitus first struck, I was horrified. I Googled "tinnitus". Herbal remedies that I saw on some websites did nothing for me.
I learnt to accept the fact that an extremely high pitched tone (greater than 10,000 Hz, I think) with a bit of background white noise) was likely to be a permanent feature of my life.
Eventually, the apparent cause of my tinnitus dawned on me. Over a period of about 25 years, I chose to get around on a bicycle. As my late Mom used to say to me, "You're helping the ecology." I'm from California and since I was the kind of cyclist who obeys the rules of the road , I rode on the right side of any road.
My left ear was constantly bombarded with the noise of passing traffic and when it dawned on me that tinnitus was likely a result of doing what I loved to do (Ah, the two wheeled life!) I learnt to accept it. I stopped freaking out about tinnitus.
