Get heavy duty magnetic hooks to hang up stuff in your room…walls are metal. Also, decorate your door. I just got home from me a Hawaiian cruise yesterday and it was awesome. First aid, headache meds, tums, etc. Don’t over park like I always do lol.

Princess Cruises is my favorite. We did a lumberjack competition, went to a glacier on a boat, went to see the sled dogs and went to a wildlife type place which was awesome. It was such a great time.

When planning a cruise I always research the options for day excursions and plan ahead of time what you want and book it. Waiting for when you're on the cruise the best ones fill up fast. And reservation for a nice dinner in the featured restaurant

When our kids were little, we lived in India 🇮🇳 for two years and have been back several times. Our kids always love the masala chips. 😊

Loved our Alaskan cruise. The captain does a "captains talk" which is very interesting. A kitchen tour is very interesting as well. And usually the workers put on a show, with their cultural songs and dances which is great.
Lauren, I love anything Alaska! I have enjoyed every single moment you have shared of your life with me. I love seeing all the beautifull scenery that surrounds you, the places you visit, the shopping trips, Luna, the boys, your Sister, & going to Arizona to see your parents. I think you & Mark should enjoy the things you both like & not let someone else suggest. I want you to be happy with the choices you make. There's so much to enjoy in Alaska. I loved you taking your time to walk through the little town, showing their Church, gift shop, etc. It was so nice. (Ex: I didn't mind taking po' so & so to Pittsburgh with me so I wouldn't be alone traveling, but, the part I hated, I couldn't stay longer visiting Grandmal, Dad, Aunt, Brother, friend, or Cousin, because I was too busy showing someone around who never seen this or that, when they cold have gotten in the car & put their own gas in instead of mooching off me. Today the good ol po so & so don't even look or speak to me. I can't go back & get any time back to spend one more minute with them, they're gone.)
I have been on 9 cruises to Alaska, so fun learned a lot about your state…take warm as the ship is cold…also get a room with a balcony…lots of fun things to do when out to sea…just enjoy

Would love an edit class. I am the type of person that learns so much easier if I have someone pointing things out and showing things. Like you said, you’re self taught and you learned so others can do the same. Well , I’m the person that this can help! I tend to put off and struggle when it comes to looking things up because I question even the easiest of things. Having you show things is definitely an approach that I learn from.
Our Alaskan cruise was our best vacation! The food was amazing, the excursions were great! We panned for gold, we had a smoked salmon dinner outside and we went whale watching! We saw a mama and her calf! The glacier fiord was magical! They actually filmed a movie while we were turning around in Tracey’s Arm! The onboard educational presentations about wildlife and Alaska were amazing! Have fun! Our next cruise will be a warm one. Just can’t say enough good things about cruising!❤

Basically with a cruise everything is pretty much on the boat. sleeping eating and fun activities. Also depending where you're going if it makes stops in other Ports you are allowed to get off the boat for a particular amount of time to explore that city or place.

Only done an Alaskan cruise once a round trip from Vancouver…loved it. The White Pass & Yukon railway was a highlight in Skagway. Happy travels.
I am so glad you are taking an Alaska cruise. My aide and I want to take a cruise to Alaska but since we live in Northeast Pennsylvania it is very expensive. It is still our dream.
I love to cruise, the Alaskan cruise was beautiful. My tips are.. if you’re driving in you can literally pack whatever your heart desires, including bringing your own drinks/water to save money. Get one of those cheap hanging shoe organizers to put on the door, you’ll need the storage. Def pack a hanging organizer for your toiletries. Bring a battery powered nightlight for the bathroom, the lights are bright and sometimes have a fan that comes on, it’s annoying at 3 am! Some cruise lines try to sneak in automatic tips, on Royal we go straight to customer service once onboard and have that feature turned off so we can tip whom we want how we want. We rarely eat at formal dining so it’s obnoxious to auto tip those people.

Love the dress on you & happy you & hubby had a date night. Thanks for the fridge update. Should not take this long to get thecwhite doors. But do love the fridge & all the space. Never saw one that has a pitcher that filled up automatically. Enjoy your cruise-I went on one around the Hawaiian Islands in 2012 & it was great. The food on the ship & on board activities were good. Did a lot of island tours & loved seeing all beauty of the Islands. Alaska cruise will be different re tours but the on ship portion should be fun. Will be looking forward to watching you on the cruise. Love your videos.

You should look up travel channels like Parodeejay and EECC travels. They have a few videos on Alaska cruising but most importantly, they have tons of tips on what to take and do!
Ok, here goes. Because I lived in AK for 31 yrs and hated it when a cruise ship docked in Seward and off loaded a couple thousand rude tourists I took a Royal Caribbean cruise from Bellingham to Haines. Most stops in small villages were geared for tourists and I understand this is part of the towns income but the cruise line suggests where to shop and get a cut of what you spend.
Lot's of food available so watch your diet. Stopped in front of several beautiful glaciers and they offered hot chcolate for 6.00 a mug.
I guess all in all I just found it being a money tip and glad that I knew what the real Alaska was like.
Yes, do take something for motion sickness. If it's windy or stormy the boat definitely rocks.

We loved our Alaska cruise. We did Land & See Tour. Denali National Park is a must. We visited Jeff King Camp, Ketchikan which was amazing.
A couple cruise lines have a lot of drinking and partying so do your research. You got this. I’m excited to see this adventure.

We LOVED our Alaska cruise! We used Royal Carribean cruise lines. It was a bit overwhelming at 1st(cause the ship offers so much). It was a Seattle to Seattle..We did a inside passage. We used our 1st cruise to learn just what to do on our next❤ be prepared to enjoy yummy food!! Have a blast you guys😊
we did the same.....flew all the way from Australia ...a 17 hour flight to Seattle...2 days later caught the Exployer of the Seas & like you did the inside passage to Junu & Skagway...loved loved it....absolutely fantastic....took in BC too ...that was sooooo gor-juss......
I did the same in 2019. I could have done without the stop in Victoria. The whale watching, glaciers and Skagway were the best.

Mark and I have talked about an Alaska cruise, or any cruise for that matter. The issue is working out a few kinks first: my sea-sickness on large vessels and my mobility issues. Ugh. Perhaps, someday 🛳️
Bennett is really enjoying his State quarter collecting. I hope he succeeds in getting them all. Have you heard of the National Park/Memorial Series? I believe you can get them in color too. He might find that interesting 💰

We love our small town Mexican restaurant. It's family run. Great food for a good price and lots of it. Our favorite dishes are: Fajitas, the Grande or California Burrito and the Arroz con Pollo or Carne. Lots of veggies, sauces and cheese. Yum 😋

Love your fridge. Too wide for our little house. I've heard lots of people had door delivery issues. Our friends waited 4 months for theirs, and they're nowhere near Alaska. I hope yours arrive sooner than later 🚛
I've seen a few videos of people freeze-drying. We have freeze-dried food staples with a long shelf life in our pantry. I've never freeze-dried myself, but it looks interesting and pays for itself in the long run. Can't wait to see what you do with it 🥦
Don't let yourself feel unqualified to teach and offer your opinions on how to do something you've taken years to perfect and continue to better yourself; especially when helping others to succeed. Royal caribbean cruises are the BEST! Their private island cococay is a must for your boys and yourselves. Huge waterpark, ziplining, wave pool cabanas food parasailing scuba diving its awesome!

I loved cruising been on 17 and Alaska was one on my favorite. I have a now 16 yr old boy and love that the cruise offers activities for kids of all ages ans really where are they going. If you have a choice do free style dinning, I enjoy meeting people but sitting with the same people all week doesn't let me meet others and another reason is you don't want to be ties down to a certain time to eat and free style allows you more freedom. Another piece of advice is don't over pack I have many tricks for example I don't go over board with formal night just nice Sunday dress ( not a dress), then I may only take 2 pair of dress pants and multiple tops and one of them my be flashy for formal night.. I also take shoe I can wear with those pants and tops. I also do this for my son who usually changes after dinner for the night to do the teen thing. These tips means you pack less which is great. I also enjoy the excursion that involves the history of Alaska. I hope this helps and give you ideas. Love watching the channel.

We cruise all the time. We did an Alaska cruise out of Seattle. Loved it. We went with Princess cruises , our fav line.
I've been on 2 cruises. First one was in 2008. My first time to Alaska. It was on Princess Cruise Lines and started in Fairbanks. I wanted to see as much as I could so scheduled a lot of excursions. That probably won't happen to you because you live here. I didn't think to leave any time for me to explore on my own. It was a lot of hurry up and wait but I have to say, the cruise lines are really good at moving people. We were on the train from Fairbanks, stopping along the way and got on the ship in Seward and sailed the inside passage. The second cruise was a quilting cruise in 2012. A 7 day round trip from Seattle up the inside passage and back. It was on Royal Carribean Lines. Kinda cool. They had rooms dedicated to sewing and we started 3 Quilt tops. We could spend the whole cruise sewing if we wanted but I opted to go ashore when we were in port. Don't know if I want to do another one. Too many people.
I have only been on one cruise for your honeymoon in 1997. We went to key west and the Bahamas. It’s was a Monday-Friday cruise that left from Miami. We need to take another one some day. My younger son would love to go on one. And we have collected all the quarters before in the collection folder like Bennett has. We had them all at one point and then we took them out and spent them at some point. I can’t remember it was a really long time ago. But we did had fun doing it.
You sure have a lot going on! I'm so happy that you and Mark are going on a cruise and get to spend some quality time together as a couple. It's important in a marriage to have that time alone ❤

We did the Inside Passage cruise about 15 years ago. One place I'd love to go back to!
The whales, glaciers, zip lines and I have sailed Alaska 13 times and it’s wonderful!! Family cruise try Royal Caribbean with the boys. Great wholesome family cruise or even on Disney. Disney is more but it is a premium cruise line. Lots of fun things for the boys to do on Royal while sailing and not in port.

Make sure to take medicine for nausea, just in case you guys are sensitive to movements. Ships tend to rock and roll. But they are so nice to go on. Lots of fun to do on-a ship. Good foods. Enjoy your trip. Hopefully we will be included to see it.

My makeup routine only takes 5 minutes. If I forget, it's not noticeable other than the mascara.
Feel the pain with the doors. You can wait then damaged during shipping to the store.

Be sure to take a plug-in extra outlets cube to charge up everything everyday. There are minimal outlets in the room. I've only been on one cruise, but was enjoyable. Was a quilting cruise with similar minded ladies. We were cautioned to only bring a small watt iron or it would be confiscated but ships can't always take the power load. There are several You tubers that give advice on what to take and how to pack and so on. Also many specific to the Cruise Lines of what you should know, as they are somewhat different. My folks went on an Alaska cruise, last one of the season, and discovered the weather was poor so they couldn't see much. Do be sure to take the excursions off the ship. Often Some are land-locked so not easy to get to, except by ship. Can't wait to sail along with you then.

I've been using the Seint makeup since December 2018. You do a great job putting on the makeup and you've been matched well. Other than getting updates for new introductions they are awesome about not being a pest. I can't wait until you do a video on the freeze dryer. I've been wanting one but am concerned how loud it is and my house is not large so haven't figured out where I would put it. I will be interested to see your take on using it. I've never been on a cruise but always wanted to take one in Alaska so can't wait for you to share.
Lauren I have the same fridge and also have been waiting on new panels since September. We ordered from Costco. Fringes crossed we will both get our new panels! 😳😂😂
I think you have a lot to offer about making a channel because you WERE self taught. Sometimes that is what people want to watch. You might talk about things the "pros" won't or don't. You will probably present it in a way we will understand also! That is a huge plus!!!
The cruise will be fun!! I am sure there is a lot of Alaska you haven't even seen yet. Everyone I talk to says to make sure you get an exterior room. Makes a word of difference plus you want to see the water and views! Part of the experience. They go fast though so book ASAP!
I know a couple people that have a freeze dryer!! They LOVE it!! There favorite treat is freeze dried Skittles! LOL! They do all kinds of candy in it just experimenting. I am sure with all the hunting and camping you will put it to great use and it will be amazing to have!

I have made plans for most the summer. We are going to Kennicott Mine, Copper River, Valdez, Fairbanks, Denali, Homer and Vegas to see Battlebots.
Our Alaska cruise is our favorite of 14 cruises. It was amazing and we are planning another for 2024. I’m looking forward to your cruise videos. For some tips you might watch some TH-camrs videos of Alaska cruises. I recommend “Parodeejay” ,EECC, or Lalidoloca for some information and entertainment.
You need two litter boxes for different floors. Love Luna💓
We are going on our 2nd alaskan cruise on the 3rd of May.
I would say we have found through last time and watching utube. Pack in layers.
We've never got package's for drink or WiFi as you can get the use of free WiFi in ports and meals always have drinks available for free. Just water or ice tea, lemonade or tea and coffee. But that's all we drink.
Must do and where we spend our money on is trips in the different ports you stop in to see what each town have and what's it all about.

If you haven't already booked, I would love to help you book and plan your trip! My favorite thing I have done on an Alaska cruise was a helicopter tour in Ketchikan. We were able to see some bears. Also, I think the inside passage is the best with a balcony!

We just went on an Alaskan Cruise stating from Seattle through the Inside passage. Sitka, Ketchikan The Endicot and Daws Glacier up to Juneau than a stop in Victoria Canada! We went through Royal Caribbean .

I would highly recomend watching some of 'Emma Cruises' videos. She's has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to what to pack, what to expect, & all the traveling tips you could ask for. Plus she's just a very lovely lady.

Here in Indiana we have been in the 60's today we drop to 43. It's cold and wet. I know for you 40's is warm. Love your videos thank you for sharing

I've never done an Alaskan cruise but I can highly recommend a Carribean cruise or I've done the Mexico, Rotan, Belize and Costa Maya. I am a summer girl though. I look forward to see your cruise
Well we are cruising to Alaska in June ! And we are spending the night in Anchorage and we were planning on getting pizza at Moose Tooth !!!! We are sailing on the Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas from Vancouver for 8 days stopping at Juneau, Icy Point, Sitka, Skagway, Hubbard glacier ending in Seward!!!!!

Carnival has The Spirit sailing in April 2024 then again in September 2024 on a 14 day cruise for $1300 per person to start. There are also 7 day cruises, but the 14's have more cool Alaska ports. If you can swing it, since the boys are bigger, I would get two adjoining staterooms, assign one of you adults to each one, then you can get duplicate keycards once you're onboard so you and hubby are in one and the boys are in the other (or however you want to do it). I would call Carnival, get a PVP assigned to you so that you can call back over and over again for questions you have (and they will help you watch for price changes). Ask me any questions you have!
