The United States confirms a prisoner exchange involving 16 individuals for eight Russians held in other countries. American reporter Evan Gershkovich is among those to be freed. In Iran, a funeral is held for Hamas leader Ismail Haniya, who was killed Wednesday in Tehran. In southern India, the search continues for 180 people missing after landslides struck an area in Kerala state on Tuesday. At least 194 people were killed. And in Nigeria, police break up crowds protesting the high cost of living, economic problems and crime in Abuja.
