Juno Birch is foremost a drag queen from the UK. She started producing Sims content during lockdown when she couldn’t perform at clubs. She is also a sculptor. Her drag character is an alien trying to assimilate into human culture here on Earth. Her alien character de used that dressing as a vintage housewife would be best for assimilating amongst modern day humans. She is a personal good friend of Trixie Mattel, and both Juno and Trixie have a fair amount of makeup videos on their channels. I think this collab makes a ton of sense, and the details are very well thought out. I’ve been a fan of both drag artists for a very long time.
Yep I know Trixie Mattel from his transformation into drag Queen and Trixie is just that. A beautiful Queen. Her sig black and white with some colour is absolutely fascinating. TY for this description. I never would of know because I know nothing about Juno Birch. It IS a perfect pair!
BT21 are characters created by BTS and put out by Line Friends, a Korean brand. The characters have backgrounds and stories and are basically faces for merch. If you go to a BTS concert you will definitely see lots of BT21 merch for corresponding fave members. They're just cute lil characters. Bon Voyage is a vacation series BTS did for a few summers so the name definitely makes sense!! I bought the palette, hoping the quality is good. So glad you know the crazy quality of kpop mvs LOL
I really, really appreciate the critique of the Blend Bunny line. I'm sure the palettes are great. But realistically, a lot of those colors are going to look relatively similar across the different palettes once blended onto someone's skin tone. I would love a collection of 9-pans from her, or even 12-pans, with a more curated color story.
Thank you Angie for being kind with your thoughts about the BT21 collection, a lot of beauty youtubers disappointed me with their kinda rude, annoying or dismissive comments just because they didn't understand the collab, i know not a lot of people can get something at first sight specially if it's a brand they're unfamiliar with but I'm glad you did your research and still wanted to give the products a try, you're the coolest!

I also have had issues with them and they just completely ignored me. I will only buy in store if I'm buying e.l.f. now. Also, Ace Beauté being responsive to constructive criticism is exactly the opposite of what most brands do! What a breath of fresh air, to be heard and have them acknowledge the issues and remedy them instead of dropping you from PR or deleting comments that say anything negative. as long as blend bunny keeps giving us new tones and colors in her rainbows keep them coming lol. grungy or vibrant or neon or dusty or primary etcetera lol, I love them. I do like a curated color story too though to help with creativity for sure. I get lost sometimes when there are so many options.

I am glad Charlotte is getting a new concealer with a better component. The old component was awful, the top was so hard to get off then the poof on top dried out so fast and I have the worst trouble getting product out.

In regards to BB, I just don't need another rainbow palette that is THAT large. I have the Surge palette and it filled a hole in my collection. I would love to see some 12 or 18 pan palettes from her. I just can't fit more of these enormous palettes. That said, I suspect that this palette may be an excellent palette for someone with good knowledge of the color wheel. I believe the colors may blend into new colors quite seemlessly. It will be interesting to see what people do with it. Edit: If you're looking for a really awesome restaurant in Houston, Kenny & Ziggy's diner is _outstanding_
I think I will pick it up because the palette was designed to fill in blanks within the Blends palette so I feel like this will enable me to truly perfect my colorful gradients. However, I would have been more excited for something more different from what they’ve done before, and was ultimately disappointed with the reveal.
having watched the whole vid yet but re: blend bunny/future packages arriving late close to the weekend, you could try making youtube shorts! whether that's swatches or showing an eye look you made or whatever, i think it'd act as a teaser/'taster' for the upcoming full video, but also gives people an idea of what to expect before launch :D

I can actually imagine Blend Bunny becoming the brand that has the perfect rainbow palette for everyone. Because rainbow isn't always rainbow and I think it isn't a bad idea to have just different rainbow palettes for different rainbow tastes. I could imagine she could do a beautiful warm toned and cool toned rainbow or like just pastels, just grungy...

I love my chemical romance! The black parade is my fave album, but I honestly cannot get behind the collabs at all. It’s not my makeup taste at all but I love them so much so it kills me lol
While I don't do Instagram makeup I do love the blend bunny palettes. But you're right that I use them differently than I do curated color stories. I like to play with make-up to destress & using blend bunny's palettes feels like I'm taking out fancy art supplies. It's like getting to color with a 96 pack of crayons vs the 8 pack, both work but all the extra options make it feel special. 😄

I think rainbow palettes-and variations on rainbow palettes-are “safe” for some creators, the way pinky-neutrals are safe for Pat McGrath and Charlotte Tilbury. A more curated palette means they need to take a chance that the color story might not be inspiring for their customer base, and the rainbow in effect covers all their bases.

Blend Bunny breaks my heart. I so badly want the Dollhouse and Primal palette but the shipping to Aus is just so heavy, then there is the issues with taxes and duties and customs. Just too hard to deal with. I know it isn’t her fault, and she is an Indie brand but maaaaan, still breaks my heart.

Angie I got PR for the new Urban Decay Lip Tint, I received Text 'Em. I don't really preference pink lips, but the way this sits on the lips and how the shades look... I want to pick up Safe Word and Pleased. These are no budge, locked in, feeling like a liquid lip, but it doesn't dry out my humble beginnings lips and looks balmy.
I'm buying the new MCR collab from Hipdot. What I found funny is in their instagram comments people were mad about the wait time since this is a preorder and won't go out till December at the earliest... but the MCR collabs selling out in seconds is why they are doing the preorder with plenty of time for production. Those same people would be mad and asking for restocks and preorders if they had just done a first come first serve launch.
I honestly would love to pre-order it in the name of good old times, but Hipdot apparently thinks that MCR fans lives only in those few countries they ship to the collection. It’s sad. I really liked the whole concept of the collab and wouldn’t mind a wait, but, oh, well. 🥲
Can’t make anyone happy these days! Have you tried any of the previous ones? I was always put off by the price/how quickly the sold out, saw one in person though and the quality is decent!
@@anavkx I have both previous collabs but I don't have a lot of energy for makeup lately so haven't had a chance to use them. I have two other Hipdot palettes and I've enjoyed both of them and I think the quality is fine. I have super oily and hooded eyelids so I'm not the best to ask about shadow quality as no matter what my eyelids will break down shadow.
I love watching your vids, and I agree with you about Blend Bunny! I want a themed palette from her. I am more minimalist and I like to mix to make my own colors, sometimes look to color stories for inspiration. I end up taking pause from getting the palettes because if the palette has so many diff hues, I don't know how they'll mix and layer together when they're tested in that way.

Hi, Angi!!! I wouldn’t have given the CP BT21 palette a second look bc it has 3 (!!!) pressed glitters but my 17 yo daughter literally begged me to buy it so now the whole collection is heading my way 🤷🏻♀️

I don't want the entire MCR collab collection, but do really want the palette and the lip trio. I'm not an OG fan, but I do love Sing from their Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys album in 2010. The collection also does look very true to the band as well, which I can appreciate while not being a "stan" for them.
I'm just gonna say this- I know for a fact your palette is going to be the palette of the year, for me. Maybe of ever. I just love it so so much. I also like Solomaine 2, a lot. I'm so grateful, ty for showing me Odens Eye. Love their makeup.

I am also disappointed hearing about the customer service response from elf. I placed a preorder more than 8 weeks ago for a Leia blender and they hadn’t sent me an update. I emailed their customer service because I hadn’t seen a tracking number. They responded back within hours to apologize for the delay and assured me they are working on it but struggling to keep up because of supply chain issues. I can totally understand that. I just wanted to make sure they didn’t forget about me. Delays happen. Just let me know what’s going on. It’s not an emergency I can wait I just want to be informed
Was thinking the same thing about the new Blend Bunny palette, it’s ideal for social media looks but not every day. The formula is exceptional - I have 2 of their palettes - but I don’t use them as often as I’d like. I was hoping they’d release duochromes since the inspiration is butterflies and some can shift colors in different light so I’m hoping they introduce that finish in the near future 🤞
I, too, am disappointed that there were not more shifty shimmers. They've demonstrated they've mastered the rainbow, the matte, and wet shimmer. Duochromes really have gotta be their next step. Or a more curated color story.
Agree! I love BB and I have the first 3 palettes + the brushes; it's my favorite formula. Still, I just don't see a place for this palette in my collection. I want to buy everything she releases, but I have to be reasonable and I can't dupe things I already own.
I like the idea that this will fill in the “blanks” left by the other palettes because it will assist in creating even more well-blended looks with the full collection, but I would ultimately rather have a more interesting color story than something same ol’ same ol’ where I’m going to pull out four different palettes from one brand to create a rainbow or monochromatic look.
Maybelline has a super stay vinyl ink lip stick as well. I seen reviews on the UD already and said they are the same as Maybellines just more expensive
I get my USPS late in the evening too. And my building has a thief problem so delivery days are a day of refreshing the tracker for me! I'm having major withdrawal from wearing makeup myself. I'm in Houston and it's so humid so I sweat so much and it makes me feel super hot when I have on makeup. So I just play and do my makeup then take it off when it starts getting to humid hot lol. I am very comfortable with my self makeup free. I love makeup as an art and it's also part of my job being a hairstylist and makeup artist. But I miss being able to play with color and actually get to wear it out haha
I totally agree with you on the palette layouts- we want innovative, but not like that 😂😂 adding more negative space between shadows does absolutely nothing for me, it just makes the palette unnecessarily bulky 😣 I totally understand if you don’t go with the Juno collab but I would love a Trixie cosmetics palette review if there’s one you really like! 🤗
I'm not a neutral gal, but the dollhouse palette is so good! The quality is perfection and it's great for cool toned people like me. And for super dark colors, super light edge blending colors. Definitely getting this new one too

That give me glow palette is BEAUTIFUL. I have the mojito and sunny singles and love them so much I’m considering getting the whole palette. The shades are stunning and the palette artwork is gorgeous and fits the color story so perfectly. I would love to see a look.

Believe it or not, this is Roxi’s FOURTH collab with Makeup Revolution! I have similar feelings about them, but I adore Roxi, (and Soph!) so I do buy their collabs. The quality of their collabs is usually better, especially people they have a good, ongoing relationship with, like both of them, so I’m excited for it and Roxi! Also, some of their their liquid blushes are GOOD! I got the super shocks from the BT21 collab. I didn’t know what it was either, but based on the response, it seems like a very smart move. The palette wasn’t vegan and was a bit big for my taste, so I just got the super shocks. (One wasn’t vegan, but the set was less than buying six individually, so I can sell the seventh) I may go back for the two brighter lip oils. I’m glad I got the super shocks at launch because they went FAST! So sad about your experience with ELF. I love them and order form them all the time. My game palette got here in good time, and I’ve only had good experiences with their customer service. I’m sorry you didn’t. 😥

Your eye makeup is 💯!!! It reminds me of a look I did a while back when I was playing around with my water-activated liners. I did pinks and purples with pearls. I love the colors you used and the sparkly gems. It's stunning. I also love that others also wear the cut crease line on its own with colors and gems. It's such a fun look. 😍
That is so sad elf having crap customer service. Even Oden's eye responded to me right away and sent me a new blush right away because mine was broken. Another reason I love indy brands.
maybe there are a lot of people who like rainbow pallets, but I'm not one of them. I like that BB included a pastel, bright, deep and shimmer version of each colour and I think it's a well thought out pallet. But I prefer pallets that have well curated colours that really put a vision in my head when I open it up. Idk. BH does that really well but they seriously need to hurry up and release their new pallets that they sneak peaked.
Elf have a glossy lip stain that's been out for months, that is absolutely amazing. High end feeling, nice looking packaging. And one of the first to jump onto the transfer resistant glossy lips on the market
I used to order from Bh cosmetics then a lipstick arrived without a cap and dried out, they wrote back and said impossible. So that was that for me. And I loved their products, was not surprised they went out of business.

I love my Surge Palette but was disappointed that this is so similar. I was hoping for more grungy tones.
There palettes are looking the same.
I think I will pick it up because the palette was designed to fill in blanks within the Blends palette so I feel like this will enable me to truly perfect my colorful gradients. However, I would have been more excited for something more different from what they’ve done before, and was ultimately disappointed with the reveal.
Too Faced eyeshadow palettes always remind me of slightly elevated versions of Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes 🫤

having watched the whole vid yet but re: blend bunny/future packages arriving late close to the weekend, you could try making youtube shorts! whether that's swatches or showing an eye look you made or whatever, i think it'd act as a teaser/'taster' for the upcoming full video, but also gives people an idea of what to expect before launch :D
I would try out Blend Bunny if they did monochromatic palettes, particularly red-pink-burgundy, blue-purple-plum or some duochrome neutrals.
I love Zendaya as the face of Lancome ! She is so pretty and I think she represents their vibe so well. I haven't tried much from Lancome

I agree with you you, not that I am doubting her at all either. Elf has excellent customer service normally. I have no doubt that they will make those right…I am hoping that this just slipped through the cracks…
I can actually imagine Blend Bunny becoming the brand that has the perfect rainbow palette for everyone. Because rainbow isn't always rainbow and I think it isn't a bad idea to have just different rainbow palettes for different rainbow tastes. I could imagine she could do a beautiful warm toned and cool toned rainbow or like just pastels, just grungy...

While I don't do Instagram makeup I do love the blend bunny palettes. But you're right that I use them differently than I do curated color stories. I like to play with make-up to destress & using blend bunny's palettes feels like I'm taking out fancy art supplies. It's like getting to color with a 96 pack of crayons vs the 8 pack, both work but all the extra options make it feel special. 😄

I think rainbow palettes-and variations on rainbow palettes-are “safe” for some creators, the way pinky-neutrals are safe for Pat McGrath and Charlotte Tilbury. A more curated palette means they need to take a chance that the color story might not be inspiring for their customer base, and the rainbow in effect covers all their bases.

Blend Bunny breaks my heart. I so badly want the Dollhouse and Primal palette but the shipping to Aus is just so heavy, then there is the issues with taxes and duties and customs. Just too hard to deal with. I know it isn’t her fault, and she is an Indie brand but maaaaan, still breaks my heart.

Angie I got PR for the new Urban Decay Lip Tint, I received Text 'Em. I don't really preference pink lips, but the way this sits on the lips and how the shades look... I want to pick up Safe Word and Pleased. These are no budge, locked in, feeling like a liquid lip, but it doesn't dry out my humble beginnings lips and looks balmy.
I'm buying the new MCR collab from Hipdot. What I found funny is in their instagram comments people were mad about the wait time since this is a preorder and won't go out till December at the earliest... but the MCR collabs selling out in seconds is why they are doing the preorder with plenty of time for production. Those same people would be mad and asking for restocks and preorders if they had just done a first come first serve launch.
I honestly would love to pre-order it in the name of good old times, but Hipdot apparently thinks that MCR fans lives only in those few countries they ship to the collection. It’s sad. I really liked the whole concept of the collab and wouldn’t mind a wait, but, oh, well. 🥲
Can’t make anyone happy these days! Have you tried any of the previous ones? I was always put off by the price/how quickly the sold out, saw one in person though and the quality is decent!
@@anavkx I have both previous collabs but I don't have a lot of energy for makeup lately so haven't had a chance to use them. I have two other Hipdot palettes and I've enjoyed both of them and I think the quality is fine. I have super oily and hooded eyelids so I'm not the best to ask about shadow quality as no matter what my eyelids will break down shadow.
I don't really know much about BT21, but I want those super shock shadows and lip oils. Love those!
The Maybelline Vinyl is EVERYTHING!!!! it is what it sounds like the UD new lip is meant to be. Glossy, non transferrable, long lasting.
I love watching your vids, and I agree with you about Blend Bunny! I want a themed palette from her. I am more minimalist and I like to mix to make my own colors, sometimes look to color stories for inspiration. I end up taking pause from getting the palettes because if the palette has so many diff hues, I don't know how they'll mix and layer together when they're tested in that way.
Random fact - pupa is am italian brand but the word means butt in polish so I just cannot take that brand seriously 🤣

I don't want the entire MCR collab collection, but do really want the palette and the lip trio. I'm not an OG fan, but I do love Sing from their Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys album in 2010. The collection also does look very true to the band as well, which I can appreciate while not being a "stan" for them.
I'm just gonna say this- I know for a fact your palette is going to be the palette of the year, for me. Maybe of ever. I just love it so so much. I also like Solomaine 2, a lot. I'm so grateful, ty for showing me Odens Eye. Love their makeup.

I am also disappointed hearing about the customer service response from elf. I placed a preorder more than 8 weeks ago for a Leia blender and they hadn’t sent me an update. I emailed their customer service because I hadn’t seen a tracking number. They responded back within hours to apologize for the delay and assured me they are working on it but struggling to keep up because of supply chain issues. I can totally understand that. I just wanted to make sure they didn’t forget about me. Delays happen. Just let me know what’s going on. It’s not an emergency I can wait I just want to be informed
Was thinking the same thing about the new Blend Bunny palette, it’s ideal for social media looks but not every day. The formula is exceptional - I have 2 of their palettes - but I don’t use them as often as I’d like. I was hoping they’d release duochromes since the inspiration is butterflies and some can shift colors in different light so I’m hoping they introduce that finish in the near future 🤞
I, too, am disappointed that there were not more shifty shimmers. They've demonstrated they've mastered the rainbow, the matte, and wet shimmer. Duochromes really have gotta be their next step. Or a more curated color story.
Agree! I love BB and I have the first 3 palettes + the brushes; it's my favorite formula. Still, I just don't see a place for this palette in my collection. I want to buy everything she releases, but I have to be reasonable and I can't dupe things I already own.
I like the idea that this will fill in the “blanks” left by the other palettes because it will assist in creating even more well-blended looks with the full collection, but I would ultimately rather have a more interesting color story than something same ol’ same ol’ where I’m going to pull out four different palettes from one brand to create a rainbow or monochromatic look.

Maybelline has a super stay vinyl ink lip stick as well. I seen reviews on the UD already and said they are the same as Maybellines just more expensive

I'm having major withdrawal from wearing makeup myself. I'm in Houston and it's so humid so I sweat so much and it makes me feel super hot when I have on makeup. So I just play and do my makeup then take it off when it starts getting to humid hot lol. I am very comfortable with my self makeup free. I love makeup as an art and it's also part of my job being a hairstylist and makeup artist. But I miss being able to play with color and actually get to wear it out haha

I totally agree with you on the palette layouts- we want innovative, but not like that 😂😂 adding more negative space between shadows does absolutely nothing for me, it just makes the palette unnecessarily bulky 😣 I totally understand if you don’t go with the Juno collab but I would love a Trixie cosmetics palette review if there’s one you really like! 🤗

I'm not a neutral gal, but the dollhouse palette is so good! The quality is perfection and it's great for cool toned people like me. And for super dark colors, super light edge blending colors. Definitely getting this new one too

Believe it or not, this is Roxi’s FOURTH collab with Makeup Revolution! I have similar feelings about them, but I adore Roxi, (and Soph!) so I do buy their collabs. The quality of their collabs is usually better, especially people they have a good, ongoing relationship with, like both of them, so I’m excited for it and Roxi! Also, some of their their liquid blushes are GOOD!
I got the super shocks from the BT21 collab. I didn’t know what it was either, but based on the response, it seems like a very smart move. The palette wasn’t vegan and was a bit big for my taste, so I just got the super shocks. (One wasn’t vegan, but the set was less than buying six individually, so I can sell the seventh) I may go back for the two brighter lip oils. I’m glad I got the super shocks at launch because they went FAST!
So sad about your experience with ELF. I love them and order form them all the time. My game palette got here in good time, and I’ve only had good experiences with their customer service. I’m sorry you didn’t. 😥

Your eye makeup is 💯!!! It reminds me of a look I did a while back when I was playing around with my water-activated liners. I did pinks and purples with pearls. I love the colors you used and the sparkly gems. It's stunning. I also love that others also wear the cut crease line on its own with colors and gems. It's such a fun look. 😍

maybe there are a lot of people who like rainbow pallets, but I'm not one of them. I like that BB included a pastel, bright, deep and shimmer version of each colour and I think it's a well thought out pallet. But I prefer pallets that have well curated colours that really put a vision in my head when I open it up. Idk. BH does that really well but they seriously need to hurry up and release their new pallets that they sneak peaked.
Elf have a glossy lip stain that's been out for months, that is absolutely amazing. High end feeling, nice looking packaging. And one of the first to jump onto the transfer resistant glossy lips on the market
I used to order from Bh cosmetics then a lipstick arrived without a cap and dried out, they wrote back and said impossible. So that was that for me. And I loved their products, was not surprised they went out of business.

I'm so torn about the Primal palette. I love the brand's formula so much, so I want to buy it. But I really don't need another rainbow palette in my collection. I guess I'm struggling not to have a collective mindset.
