might need to send the crew on vacation as 0% dicipline will only cause further issues, usually can get away with 3 missions before needing a rest but missions to the USA can take up to 5 weeks and strain the crew a lot
They didnt get R&R and some time off (in rotations) during the REFIT? I understand they may be needed to assist the refit, but they could have taken some time during that.
11:14 that was a little rough watching 'Old Glory' take a dive into the cold ocean, but I am Team-606 and not a sleeping sailor. Take a look at the war correspondent's shirt. He might be a time traveler who just arrived from his previous stop at the 1969 Hamburg Pop Festival! 🤣 ((Ahem, ahem, cough, cough...are we sure this is the Battle of the "Artic" as in artichoke? 😏))
Methinks the Canucks would be on their game(PBY Catalinas, Flower Class and Wykes). The espionage mission seems contrived, but maybe it will get the Department of Enlightenment off your boat. They need some good print after 'Black May'. Cinematics super as always!
my last mission, I took 6-8 hits from RN Schnell Boat, and it looked like I had some Black Cammo- on the out'r Hull, any advise on how to fix that at port?? My Engineers FIXED over 15 Repairs.....and I also was depth charged multible times the last 3 Missions/Free Hunts....I also sailed threw Baltic Sea and came up Gulf of Finland.....expecting to see Old St. Pettersburg/Leningrad, like on IL-2 1946 and saw Nothing.....but, to fix your U-boot you just have to have your engineers be on damage mode, with 2 helpers(while on Alert!) Right??? either way, Love your Channel, been watching over 2 years.....from EX-PAT in California...CHEERS!!!!
Excellent episode taff, more tonnage sent to the seabed and more trophies added to the tally. C3 ships always add more handsome tonnage to the belt, taking damage to your vessel.. seems like the tide is turning at sea, once the allies get full air supremacy it'll be too risky to use the deck gun.. so best use it while you can, regardless your handling of torpedoes is excellent.. your performance is great. U-606 is well and truly on the list of the top tonnage aces, great series.. keep it up mate 👍
I send the torpedo below 5meters when shooting freighters, the lower the explosion the more damage dealt as it hits the bottom of the draught and the water flows inside easily
A not so Dutch Treat! Damn thing must have had torpedo bulges to take so many torps! I felt every miss as well. Commiserations. The limited torpedoes on the Type VII (only 14) is starting to really bite. You need to be upgraded to a Type IX asap. 24 torps and 6 tubes (4/2) plus speed and range increase. Also depending on type you get a 105mm deck gun. Much bigger punch than the 88. You deserve it after all you have done. That being said you were damn lucky the RCAF seemed to be on holiday. You should have been swarmed by aircraft and as for the navy! Damn the Canucks must have been thinking that the Battle of the Atlantic was already over to have two convoys without escorts.
@@mikefischer8576 That's pretty poor. Hopefully a DLC will provide an upgrade. The Type VII is great but really best for the Arctic convoys with that limited torp compliment. The Type IX was better suited for cross Atlantic hunting with 10 more torps and a bigger deck gun.
Is the music included with the game or do you add this in? Thank you for sharing your gaming experience with us! You're my favorite. Very professional and well scripted.
If the convoy left and the ships are just sitting ducks, you can send your engineer over who's a demolition expert to sink the ship. Save some of those shells.
The War Correspondent looks like he thought the Kreigsmarine was the Gay Disco.....his face, All Dressed Up, to Plow some Fields.....and every U-boot Man wasn't Having it!!!!
A trifle embarrassing that, two convoys out of Halifax, neither one with an escort. Don't those bloody people know there is a war on? And it's not as if the RCAF doesn't have long-range patrol aircraft. You were very lucky Taff. By the way, that pesky freighter had a very good Captain. Taff, is it out of the question that you could be upgraded to a Type IX U-boat?

It's ok...they have pills for that.😂

According to the mission summary you sunk a ship from 7 different nations you truly are Mr.Worldwide
I’d love to see you sail to Boston, Taff. Perhaps send some tea to the bottom? ;)

There are no sub upgrades

@@davidwhitfield6025 pretty sure the devs have already stated the game is purely this sub class.
@@mikefischer8576 Fair enough. A pity though.
Tough little blighter 😂
Not a 37 mm gun (those were single barreled 3,7 cm m42 U’s) but a quad 20mm 38/43 U on the turm 4. Great AA upgrade however.
