  • Every garden should have at least one tree - they add height and structure, give welcome shade, screen neighbouring buildings, provide food and habitat for wildlife and, of course, add beauty.

Don't forget a tree's branch structure. I love the branch structure of crepe myrtles.

Absolutely! The branch structure of trees, like the beautiful crepe myrtles, adds so much character and visual interest to a garden, especially in the winter months when the leaves have fallen. Crepe myrtles, with their smooth, mottled bark and gracefully arching branches, can indeed be a focal point in any landscape. Thank you for highlighting the importance of considering branch structure when choosing trees. It's details like these that truly enhance the beauty and uniqueness of our outdoor spaces. 🌳🌸

Great video , one suggestion put the tree name against the tree picture so that we remember it easily

Hawthorn are beautiful till you step on a dead branch and it's one inch rigid thorn..They don't shape well..
Rosa Sharon grow upright quickly and work as a nice property line..

Thanks for sharing your experience with Hawthorns! You're right, those thorns can be a real pain - literally! 😅 It's good to know about the shaping difficulties too.
Great suggestion on the Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) as an alternative. They do make excellent privacy screens and grow quickly. Plus, those beautiful flowers are a bonus! 🌺
Your real-world insights are super valuable. Gardening's all about learning from each other, right? Different plants work better in different situations, and it's helpful to hear about both the upsides and downsides.
Thanks for adding to the conversation and helping fellow gardeners make informed choices! 🌿💚
