And she still carries the scars to her face and other parts of her body to this day. Yet that didn't stop her from reachin' the finals of both AGT 2017 and the first season of AGT The Champions.

This sort of sudden 180 turn-around from calculated cruelty to nice-nice is utterly unbelievable. People like this do not change like this in real life, literally turning on a dime. It's like he had a personality transplant. This sort of change is hard enough to handle in a longer story with a slow and realistic character development. But in these short stories, it's virtually impossible to do it in a plausible way, and this one just came across as clumsy and unrealistic.
The moment Sophia started with the insults, i would have gone to her parents and told them they raised an absolute brat, showed them the messages to torch her family relations, then disowned that son and write him out of the will. Guve everything to charity. Then tell him. He will never get anything, and if he shows his face to me again, I'd have him arrested.

At least the ending is good. There's reconcilliation and a bridging of informatio which has helped Theodore and Sophia mend ways with Theodore's mom.

As a mom, I love my 3 sons but if one of them did something so vile and deplorable to me I am not sure if I could forgive them and if I did that would not mean that we are gonna talk at least not for some time cause it would not be talking like she did.
Wow these stories have such extremes in men such as the momma's boy who throws his wife out so his mommy can live with him and cook and clean for him vs this monster who would back stab his loving mom who has been disfigured and sides with his sadistic bride. Geebus.

Sometimes these stories have the victim being a little too unforgiving when the child who, for instance, sided with the other spouse in a divorce was an actual CHILD and also didn't do physical damage. THIS guy was an ADULT and ASSAULTED his mother. THIS guy did NOT deserve forgiveness.
