I decided to do a vlog series on getting into Medical School!
This is a first of others to come and Here's a video on the application and admission process of Graduate Medicine in Ghana. I felt the need to shed light on this and as it was requested a lot!!
Application Requirements
1. University Degree in biological sciences with a 2nd class lower minimum.
2. WAEC/WASSCE/GCSE/O'LEVEL LEAVING CERTIFICATE/HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.
3. Transcript directly from your University to the GEMP secretariat
4. Recommendation Letter (2)
5. Thankfully! NO PERSONAL STATEMENT!!!
6. Passport photograph (2)
7. Certificate of National Service
8. Passport Data page
9. Sponsors' letter
10. Bank Statement
11. Completely filled Application form
Application stages/processes
1. Application & Tutorial (aka Crash Course)
2. Examination
3. Interview.
This process/procedure will apply 95% to most graduate medical programmes in Ghana!!

Pls sis what's the tuition fee for Gemp program in UG. For Ghanaians
Hi Elizabeth!! It changes every year. Last I know it’s about $7000. Again, please don’t quote me as this is an estimated guess.
I’ll rather call/email the school to find out.
Also, I hear another prestigious university has started GEMP. I’ll work on it right after my exams.

Yes, there are hostels.
Pls can a BA student be admitted into medical school.
Hi Babara, I don’t know. In Ghana, most graduate medical degrees admit science related undergraduate degrees.
Please the letter from the sponsors does it have to be long?
Hi Eugenia, the sponsorship letter should not be long. It should just have the basics/ mandatory details
The good wassce result, doest it mean only B3?
A good WASSCE result will be very competitive. A good mix of A1, A2, B1, B2…

Roadtombchb_msiffay's vlogs Ifedayo Is the fees yearly or per semester... last time I looked at their fee chart there was no fees on year 2 or 3, can't remember which one exactly. Are we looking at fees*4 years? Care to clarify?
+Adolf Sackey yearly please. With each incoming batch, the fee might change and it's unique to those in that year.
Roadtombchb_msiffay's vlogs Ifedayo Oh Ok. I am Ghanaian so my fees will be half of what you are paying. You say they will like to see an indication of a flow of income. That bothers me a bit. Even if I have more than they charge for fees for the whole 4 years, they will still need to see a flow of income?
+Adolf Sackey a bank statement is prove that the account wasn't "set up" and yes. Ghanaians pay less than international students.
if you are a non biomedical science student, say engineering (electrical specifically) how do can you get into UGMS
