2013 Kia Soul Low Beam Headlight Replacement

In this video I show you how to replace the low beam headlights in your 2013 Kia soul. This is not for high beams, there are a multitude of people who have videos on changing the headlight of a Kia soul but they simply change the brights not the actual headlights themselves, so I figured I’d make a video doing the right thing.

Nice video. I've changed the low beams a few times now. Most other videos suggest removing something or other when it's possible to do the job with just the hands and maybe a pair of crescent pliers.

My headlights need to be cleaned from the inside but I’m not sure how to properly take apart the headlights and how to clean them. Can you make a video showing that process please?

Thanks a ton! I was qouted 700.00 dollars to change my bulb. They said they have to take the bumper off.

okay i was touching the wrong one this whole time 🤦🏽‍♂️ was it difficult to do the driver side?

Driver side one can be the hardest to twist out since it’s in a tighter space then the passenger side, but there is just enough room to reach your hand in and twist the old light out and new one in. Definitely possible to use a pair of pliers to twist them out if you can’t grab it but I didn’t find that necessary, even with bigger hands I was able to grab the driver side one and get it out but some do get a bit stuck after being in the headlight housing for so long.

I can’t get to the drivers side low beam. It’s impossible

This video is not helpful at all. The driver side is very difficult, and parts need to be removed.

Just to clarify and I know this is just to be idiot proof so let's say I'm the engine and I'm in the car and I'm looking at my headlights so I got the one to the right from the engines eyes that's out my low beam so the engine reaches his hand out and grabs that Bob and he is literally going to turn it to the left correct ... That's the left we're talking about if I'm looking at the passenger side headlight from inside the engine looking at it I'm going to grab the low beam light that you showed on your video and turn it to the left and it should pop out because it's not going either way I just want to make sure before I really try hard with a tool now to go to the left
