Regarding the term "lady boy" and other similar terms: whether or not that term is "okay" or "appropriate" to use for a given person depends highly on the person you're speaking to. It's like the word Queer. Lots of people love the word queer, lots of people think it's a disgusting slur. I'm trans, and if you called me a lady boy I'd slap the hell out of you... but there are plenty for whom the term works and is preferable. For things like that I always suggest erring on the side of caution until you know for sure what the preference is of the person to whom you're speaking.
Your response is pure Western. The term is embraced by Asian countries because the recognize they will never be the opposite of their birth, but do get as close as they can. They are the 3 rd kind but are also respected and treated as people
@@charlest7962 I'm not sure how "people have different opinions, so consider finding out what the individual you're talking to thinks" is exclusively a western response, but sure.
@@charlest7962I think that's only Asian, specifically Thai though.
Stop being so soft and snowflakey, lgbtq+++++++ people have no chill like dude its not that deep play along be cool
I don´t think of a trans woman when I hear "lady boy". They aren´t really trans from what I think about them.
I've only been with an escort once and the ladies were very nice. An idiot in our group said " I own you, I can do what I want" and the girls left for their safety. The lady I was with was sorry, but I told her I understand and apologized for the jerk.
Nobody owns anyone, nobody is entitled to anything, end of story.
It may not be my place, but I am sorry for the negative experiences you have had with men; you are a human being, your job does not define you or label you as unworthy of respect.
I hope you have good holidays and much better interactions.
"your job does not define you"
William Shakespeare, Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, Leonardo DaVinci, Michelangelo, Van Gogh, Steven Spielberg, Johnny Depp, James Hetfield, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Albert Einstein, Oppenheimer, Nicole Tesla, Elon Musk....
"label you as unworthy of respect"

Lady boy is the 3rd kind. It's actually a very common term in Thailand and other Asian countries. The white people are the ones who want to be offended for things, but you can see plenty of interviews where people are out in Thailand and they compliment an attractive woman to which they get a reply " no I'm a lady boy". They aren't men, they aren't women, they are lady boy. They don't try to get in the modern conversation of t men or t women are biologically the same as c men and c women. They recognize there is a physical difference. They know they aren't women and they know they aren't men. So they choose the term lady boy to emphasize the fact they have feminine features and possible modifications, but also still have a male appendage.
Ladyboy is a very specific term.
Its not really offensive as long as you're not using it as a blanket term for trans people.
Ladyboys see themselves as male. With female attributes. They don't really see themselves fully as a woman, or sometimes they might but its more of a marketing thing than anything else.
So, it really depends on the person. But it should be fine. Sex workers tend to use it as well since its easier for people to understand and its generally well. you know what you're getting sort of deal. I don't think its particularly offensive.
Who cares?

Ladyboy is a common term in some areas of the world. It's not common to hear it in the US or Canada though so I can see why it would seem weird to you. As with most words, some people embrace it, and some find it offensive. Probably has a lot to do with the location of the speaker.

I'm sorry, but being a prostitute is not a job.
Thank you other sane internet user
It is a job, the oldest profession in the world.
It's A Job. Most People In That Work Are Doing It Because They Need To Survive. My Sister Was A Stripper Because She Was Proud Of Her Body. But Eventually, She Got Her Feet Underneath Her And Stopped. Sometimes It's Just To Get Some Extra Cash Or For Fun
how is it not a job?
So, being a hitman is a job? Being a professional pedo is a job?
GTFO.
