    I'd take that luxury interior over any of the newer ones. The mid to late 60s were the last of the best years of American motorama

    ...1967 Imperials were first year for unibody design/build Imperials derived from / based on ChryCorp 1967 Chrysler New Yorker cowl, windshield, drivetrain components and chassis layouts with three inch front sub frame extension to give 1967 Imperial a 127 inch wheelbase ...dash design and instrument panel layouts were still exclusive to Imperial for 1967 and 1968 whereas 1969 and 1970 thru 1975 Imperials would largely share / use Chrysler instrument and dash panel layouts with some altered trim or added detailed accents...the 1967 LeBaron sedan shown here was / is one of only 2,194 LeBarons produced for 1967 ...in comparison the new for 1967 Cadillac Eldorado had a first year production total of over 17,000...this 1967 Imperial was a rare car when new in 1967 and now some 53 years later this still largely intact as produced factory original and well preserved 1967 survivor Imperial LeBaron is a very rare car...many 1960's Imperials were driven for long highway miles or after first owners were done driving them became used car lot back row “ beater specials “ until both motors / drivetrains and chassis were wore out, bodies became banged up and rusted out and interiors were trashed and to finally end up as junkyard derelicts or heedlessly scrapped ...many of these 1960's era Imperial LeBarons having perhaps still remained in decent condition after years of use finally ended up being sold to / acquired by demolition derby enthusiasts who would gut / trash still nice / intact original condition Imperial interiors of claro walnut veneers, fine leather and real stainless steel and chromed metal trim and then enter these rare and relative low production numbered Imperial LeBarons and Crowns into demolition derby competition and destroy them ...this fate happened to many 1960’s era Imperials which being full framed and overbuilt as cars were well regarded as winning contenders in demolition derby competition until fully crashed, smashed and trashed to end up as demolished / destroyed scrap junk...the 1967 Imperial LeBaron sedan shown above happily and luckily has survived intact and was spared the doomed to being destroyed end fates so many vintage 1960’s era Imperials sadly met ..;-) ...it is now indeed a very rare 1967 Imperial LeBaron survivor...

    IT'S NOT A CHRYSLER IMPERIAL BUT A IMPERIAL IMPERIAL WASI IT'S OWN BRAND NAME. MARVIN FROM UTAH

      IT IS A CHRYSLER IMPERIAL. They were registered as Imperial only from 1955 to 1966. When they were redesigned for 1967 with Unibody fabrication they were again CHRYSLER IMPERIAL, as they always were a Chrysler top end model

    Love it, sad to admit this model did not make the cut for the 1964-1966 Chrysler LeBaron club. 1967? Sorry. Lol. Those were the rules.

    Imperial probably outsold Cadillac and Lincoln for this year model

    • @califdad4
      @califdad4 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, and it wasn't even close, just over 17k cars sold , Lincoln Continental sold over 45k and Cadillac 200k
