Thank God y'all had your act together! Without death rescue, recovery, and investigations, the rebuilding efforts can take place quickly, efficiently and, with sustainability!
Secretary of Transportation Buttigiege has been informed and he will bring his expertise to bear on this and solve the problem expeditiously! (just kidding)
It will take a lot of rock and dirt to fill the in the slide area and also change the way the highway goes through the turn. Good luck with the job being finished soon.
@@jannibal9273 The road would be shift away from where the land slide occurred and the fill would go into the hole on the side opposite the slide. The side that slide into the valley would have to be secured with concrete walls and pillars that go down to bed rock.
Who'd'a thunk a man-made earthen berm like that would fail that catastrophically? Remember when the greenies said a steel structure would impact the environment too much? (giggle)
drainage pipe at bottom was probably plugged and water went around the pipe and opened up a larger hole. But get 4 D-10 dozers and some stone and make a dirt road around it.

No mention that this road is busy 365 days a year with Jackson Workers who cant afford to live there and commute. It is very busy at “rush hour “.
If Jackson wants to keep its workers, maybe it better start a helicopter shuttle service for free.

Not enough Trees on that edge.. Dirt gets loosened by Rain/Time. Not being held in-place by Tree Roots. Yup, it's gunna spill out.
0:55 "...Shifting for DECADES, sometimes inches a year" ⁉️ And they did nothing about it?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right! They wait until it collapses then they look for remedies.
What would you expect them to do, build a wall to hold the dirt up? Like that would work - yeah, right.
The only thing good about this it's going to keep the Taurons out of Yellowstone and give the animals a break!
