I remember 1970’s I was a child went to Germany few times with Lufthansa and I asked my dad how come we don’t fly with Turkish airlines he told me wasn’t safe enough. Now became superb airline I’m very proud of them.I hope they keep their safety record for very long time.

Even myself I was quite surprised how great their onboard services were. Highly recommended TK to fly and hopefully next time you'll have the chance to fly with them.

Thanks Jess! I think you have to review your final destination’s restrictions. As of now all airlines are only accepting residents and citizens to travel on repatriation flights. If your purpose of travel is leisure, then it’s likely you will not be allowed to board. It can change though, as most of the airlines are getting back to business. Hm. That is weird. I have not seen any turkish airlines plane that has small legroom for economy class as I have flown to turkey and back over 10 times, I also never saw them put in the new IFE model in airbus planes.

I just came from Istanbul last week I and my experience with Turkish Airlines was not so good. When coming back from Istanbul we went trough a lot of trouble in Istanbul airport. We missed our flight and they charged us $560 extra to get another ticket and we lost our paid seats. Istanbul airport is very big and confusing 😖
Hey thanks for sharing your story. I know exactly how you feel although it was for a different airline. You can really pay hefty amount of money for not showing up on time. Lesson learned for me, so since then I always go 3 hours early and enjoy my time at the lounge.

It was also a surprisingly great flight. Airport was so humongous, I hope they can fix the wifi and power outlet issues. The rest is just awesome!

Pushback was on time around 6:50am, took off around 7:10am and we landed past 11am in NYC
