I’ve had that happen during a different game, and at 2am so it freaked me out. Now whenever I’m watching a video and hear a knock I rewind the video a few seconds and turn the volume down to check if it was just the game.

Escape from tarkov did this 5 or so years ago but it was really costly on GPUs so they had to tone it down quite a bit. I'm glad game engines finally caught up to make it better optimized

@@schizoidmeme5470 yeah I remember that now,I think I got that confused my bad, with volume 333 when the "cat" / alternate is talking to Adam from the basement telling him to " follow my voice instead" instead of the false Sheppard's, Adam is the baby that got taken in the video with the mother being distraught by her missing infant, can't remember the name of it but Adam is like an alternate sleeper agent I guess, in volume 4 that chick found the toddler assessment test and it says his parents name's and his on it if I remember right he didn't show any reactions to the video or audio ques, I love this series can't wait for more I might need to watch through it again, Adam is kind of inbetween alternate and human or he is human and got raised by the alternates hence why the intruder in the tv asked if he remembers him in the basement, also explains why he's so interested and willing to investigate the alternates and has no fear, I think these creatures are more complex then we originally thought, like you said though terrifying thought that in that universe he literally replaced God and everyone has been praying to these things

The lighting is crazy good because unreal can actually process light at a somewhat realistic level, even more so for a game like this which is much more simple than say COD backend wise
I’m genuinely so excited to see the really cool lighting, I look forward to the day when gaming graphics look better than real life lol. As someone who does in game photography in several games and is particularly fond of playing with lighting and silhouettes, Unreal Engine seems super neat.
22:50 this was honestly one of the best things i've seen in a long while. watching mark's videos, you get comfortable with the spooky vids as mark's face is always there in the corner. nice and normal. but that, that was AMAZING. genuinely got chills down my spine.
I saw it out of the corner of my eye and just thought it was the Scream face, which has never scared me. It's more unsettling looking at it dead on than it was from my peripheral 😂
Dark mode made this game super uncomfortable. The stairs to the basement, the view of the bathtub from the mirror, and the closet in the bedroom always made me tense up whenever he passed over them.
I highly recommend looking at some other folks playing this game! I'd suggest Insym as someone to watch, but even if not a full playthrough, a showcase of the intruder-esque anomalies shows how freaky and unbelievably well-made for being unfinished this game is!

I end up anticipating the scare, which just amplifies the fright when it happens. Whenever my gf asks "this new scary game is out. Wanna play it together?" I ask "are there jumpscares?" "Prooobably." "Then, no."
The dread in this game is insane. The anticipation of bringing the light to a corner and a duplicate is just standing there is spine chilling. I thought there were going to be jumpscares and I was braced almost the whole video.

I know in one playthrough he missed that the tube of cream was upright instead of lying down in the bathroom. He also missed the candles on the kitchen table moving, but inadvertently got that when trying to report the apple.
I'm fairly certain the 32nd anomaly Mark missed was a duplicate remote in the living room. There's one on the main table and another on the side table. You can see it from around 18:30 onwards.

It's probably been awhile since he went through the Mandela Catalog and likely forgot most of the names and stuff with it because he does have a whole video dedicated to it but it's a bit farther back in his channel.
@@isasadiqov7721 Lumen is still just ray tracing, we've had that for years now in many games. What UE5 does is integrate it into the engine itself and make it easy for developers to use and configure. Path tracing is a different beast though, and looks much better in certain cases.
There are so many subtle Mandela Catalogue references, it's amazing. The BPS items (which stands for Bythorne Paranormal Society, by the way), the photos of characters, the children's drawings, the child's room, the TV playing the training tape - and so much more. It's truly so cool to see.

The picture of the hooded guy in the basement is actually Adam, the guy who ran the BPS and ended up stuck in a basement. There are Easter eggs hidden all throughout the game about the original series that I can't stop looking at lol

I know in one playthrough he missed that the tube of cream was upright instead of lying down in the bathroom.
He also missed the candles on the kitchen table moving, but inadvertently got that when trying to report the apple.
I'm fairly certain the 32nd anomaly Mark missed was a duplicate remote in the living room. There's one on the main table and another on the side table. You can see it from around 18:30 onwards.

@@isasadiqov7721 Lumen is still just ray tracing, we've had that for years now in many games. What UE5 does is integrate it into the engine itself and make it easy for developers to use and configure.
Path tracing is a different beast though, and looks much better in certain cases.
There are so many subtle Mandela Catalogue references, it's amazing. The BPS items (which stands for Bythorne Paranormal Society, by the way), the photos of characters, the children's drawings, the child's room, the TV playing the training tape - and so much more. It's truly so cool to see.
