"Why does one have beliefs at all? A mind that is crippled by belief is an unhealthy mind. There must be freedom that."

⚠️ What value has belief ? Belief comes from fear and ignorance. If you know the sun is real, you don't need any belief system. You don't believe the sun is real. Belief only takes place when you are no sure, when there's doubt, when there is fear. Fear of what's beyond death, fear of losing everything, fear that this is the only life you have. So man, from the most ancient times developed all kinds of belief, gods, saviours, superstitions, all kinds of illusions to escape from reality. Most aren't aware, and search for someone he/she thinks will dispell all fog of their ignorance. They lean on somebody they think know more than they themselves on these subjects. And anyone can create a belief system, or develop, based on old books, written by ancient fellows, equally distorted. By being old, doesn't mean it's true. People are too much gullible and "need" someone to follow, to tell what is true and what is not. To tell them what to believe, what to do... They are not aware that the only way to tackle these matters is to go deep inside themselves and see the truth. You don't need to go to Himalayas, nor any journey. The truth is inside you, and nobody can teach you anything. You are you're only teacher and pupil. And as someone once said: "If you are alone, and feel boredom, you are in bad company". Human beings use masks and illusions to face the crudeness of reality. Taking off these masks and the whole weight of the eternal conditioning is the greatest happening in one's life. It's very difficult, but you have to do it all by yourself. Not depend on anybody. 🙏👍
