Summer Migration of Siberian Nomads, Кочевники тундровой летней миграции

  • Possibly the most wonderful two days of my life were spent with these beautiful Khanty nomads from northern Siberia. We drove a long way to meet a group we had contacted, got lost, and ended up with this amazing family who took us in and shared a long night's migration with us.
    The day starts with the gathering of fresh antlers from the reindeer (caribou). After a hard day the nomadic family return to their camp and pack everything on to their sledges. They migrate through the night as this is the coolest time of day. Finally, in the early hours of the morning they set up camp, have one last cup of tea and go to bed. They migrate every two to three days in order to provide fresh clean pasture for their animals. Healthy living for everyone.
    Please like and share it around the world, not for us, but to show that beautiful lives are still lived in the heart of an unspoilt natural world.
    We have a great little book giving much more information. It can be sent around the world and purchased directly here: www.nomads.org/Books.html. Special offer if you buy more than one!
    Возможно, самые прекрасные два дня в моей жизни были проведены с этими прекрасными кочевниками-ханты из Северной Сибири. Мы прошли долгий путь, чтобы встретиться с группой, с которой мы связались, заблудились и в итоге получили эту удивительную семью, которая взяла нас и поделилась с нами долгой ночной миграцией. Пожалуйста, любите и делитесь этим по всему миру, не для нас, но чтобы показать, что прекрасная жизнь все еще живет в сердце нетронутого природного мира.
    День начинается со сбора свежих рогов у северного оленя (карибу). Это не повредит и не повредит им, потому что у рога нет нервов, и кожа все равно скоро будет стираться. После тяжелого дня семья кочевников возвращается в свой лагерь и укладывает все на свои санки. Они мигрируют всю ночь, так как это самое холодное время суток. Наконец, рано утром они разбили лагерь, выпили последнюю чашку чая и пошли спать. Они мигрируют каждые два-три дня, чтобы обеспечить своим животным свежее чистое пастбище. Здоровый образ жизни для всех.

    If this doesn’t harm reindeer why is there blood on the antlers

    • @NomadArchitecture
      @NomadArchitecture  4 ปีที่แล้ว +324

      Yes, a few people have picked up on this. I was told that the 'velvet' on the antlers will soon be rubbed off by the reindeer as a matter of course, inside is bone with no nerves, and new antlers grow back each year. Technically, having your antlers sawn off is 'harm' I suppose, but less so than many things that people in the west do as a matter of course, branding cattle, castrating dogs, docking tails of lambs etc.

      All antlered animals, deer, moose, elk, shed antlers each year, and grow new ones, the new antlers are covered with velvet which carry nutrients and blood to sustain growth, the antlers are bone like projection and do not bleed even when cut. When the antlers are well developed the velvet starts to shed, the animal helps by rubbing its antlers on trees, rocks, etc until it is gone.

      Antlers are the fastest growing organism is the world. Similar to our fingernails. It's essentially hair like grow at an amazing rate & while their growing their fed by blood vessels. If cut or damaged they will bleed but dry/clot very rapidly.There is very little sensation much like trimming your nails. They have like a 4-5 month growth cycle , then harden about a month before their Rut comes in. The tissue dies and the deer,Caribou,elk etc rub on trees to remove it as fast as possible cuz it's very itchy & irritating. About that time their testosterone starts climbing and they proceed to try to puff up,show off their newly polished Rack and if that don't work they fight pushing & goring until one runs or dies!

    Beautiful way to live and so simple and without harassment of anyone asking why they are there nor asking them to pay for where they put up their tent, nor pay rent, taxes, et tal. Interesting how human beings never cease to complicate their own lives, to their own detriment and to that of all living things, including themselves. Enough said. Thank you for your work.Yahuah bless you and us all. Shalom.

      @@nibirananda9381 nope, its not Yahuah God who is the problem. Problem lies with the scribes and controllers from even when Yahshua laid it all down, they changed this, changed that, and then the people lose their true selves, their true connections to God and nature. But it had to get this bad for it to go back to the truth of life.
