I drive for Lyft/Uber in NYC. When I started I rented Toyota Camry from one of the Uber partners, but then I decided to purchase my own vehicle. I ended up buying a Certified Pre-Owned 2014 VW Passat 2.5. Bought it cash in March 2018 with 27k Miles, now at 105k. The car still drives and runs great. It's not another Camry or Accord, so passengers are pleased with something different. Also, the backseat is huge, and the trunk space is vast, with a lot of storage underneath the trunk floor, with a space for a spare wheel and all of my cleaning supplies, since I don't have a parking garage on my own. Well, because it is NYC, the gas mileage is not great, or as a metter of fact is nowhere near good. I get average 14mpg city, and 35+ highway. Overall, I am happy with that vehicle. On the side note, I am a VW guy, so I was a little bit biased when making a car purchase decision. But my theory is, since I am spending so much time in the vehicle, I want to drive something that I in fact like and enjoy.

I am very interested in the Mazda3 Hatchback for rideshare but I have concerns about rear passenger room. What do you think?
Mazda 3 is a solid car at this point maybe better drive it to the ground maybe you got 300k plus miles before any mayor
