...if I order the bit-holders & bins can I get them in another color besides red & black, say white...or even light grey?
...I'm noticing the older I get, if a background is a darker color or black I have a hard time seeing the small letters/numbers on the bits, etc...I know white gets dirty, but it's still easier to see the bits, tools, etc...

...p.s. I just can't believe Milwaukee doesn't market small storage & small compartment items like you fabricate...love their tools & the basic Packout system but Bosch & DeWalt kicks their ass on the "small storage" market...
I would those inserts, I could be blind I tried to find them on the website, not immediately visible at least on my phone. Where would I get them? Thank you. I bought this but kit recently and figured it would have the individual bit holders. Why wouldn’t it? Underwhelmed.

Right now I use tough system but if I used packout I would probably go with the 7 holder option. I mostly use the 2 in bits because I don't have to use any bit holders. I would probably outfit one with some hex shank drill bits as well. 4 holders full of the 2 in bits, 2 full of drill bits, and another full of miscellaneous bits would probably be my setup. If there was an option where the bits were not included that would probably be my preferred choice. That way I am not limited to shockwave bits. If I want some high end german bits or some el cheapos I would have that option without feeling like I am wasting bits.

I found it impossible to mount the orange thingies in to the end holes of the long black trays. My efforts yielded nothing but cracked and mangled thingies, and a cracked black tray. I will be asking JakeOfAll to replace and resend me these broken pieces, but ask that they be pre-assembled. If there is any method that works, I couldn't get it to work for me. VERY frustrated.

Jake, any suggestions on keeping the bit holders from melting /warpingin the sun? I currently have black bit holders from another 3D printer (not you), and they all melted and warped in the sun. Both inside the packout and outside. Is Red less effected than the black? is PETG material more resistant to UV?
i know this is late, but PETG would hold up much better than PLA. PLA has a much lower melting point and is weaker in general. I print a ton of stuff in PETG for situations like this. Though I haven't printed anything for the packouts yet, I do have a number of M12 pegboard tool holders in my garage that so far have held up pretty well with out any sign of breaking down. Not to mention some odds and ends I have printed for my truck.

I would love to see electronsmith (aka) Benjamen Johnson design those slim packout bins with the t-stack mounting system because the bit holders slip in and out much easier and the bits release much better than the Milwaukee ones do.If so I'm in for at least half a dozen. Also I'd be willing to pay a premium for better resolution printing, I'm not a fan of the rough lines. Thanks.

haha. the corners of the bin just don't much flex, so it's harder to get the bits in the first two slots. Once they are in they work fine.
